For the most demanding score mixing and post-production workflows, the Professional edition is the ultimate room simulator combining the latest in modulated constant-density reverb technology with an interface tailored to the demands of modern surround production.
Surround Editing Planes
Cinematic Rooms Professional provides you with the controls you need to precisely define reverberation within the surround field. Optionally deviate parameters in the front, rear, side, centre or elevated planes relative to the master preset, for example:
Extend and filter the reverb tail in the sides and rears
Emphasise and widen reflections in the front and side channels
Apply a tempo-synced pre-delay and echo in the rears and elevations
As all surround plane deviations track the master controls any changes to the master preset immediately propagate throughout the space, and are clearly visible by the surround editing indicators beneath every parameter.
Superior Pan Tracking
Advanced control of crossfeed allows you to accentuate or suppress the amount and character of reverb propagation into the surround space.
Unlike other surround reverbs that typically create a homogeneous wash of equal magnitude in all channels, Cinematic Rooms’ crossfeed controls allow you glue the reverb to the source of the action whilst tracking panning very naturally with additional filtering, level and delay control.

[H2] Dynamics
Cinematic Rooms Professional includes a powerful dynamics section.
Ducking & Compression
Ducking a reverb is a powerful tool preventing a reverb overwhelming the dry signal whilst enhancing clarity and intelligibility. It helps to keep the reverb tucked away until there is space in the mix for it to fill the space between phrases.
By ducking only the reverb (not the reflections) one retains the spatialisation effect of the early room without compromising intelligibility from excessive reverb tail fighting with the dry.
Compression can be added to thicken a reverb making it sound even more dense in the initial phase as it will squash down any peaks and accentuate the speed of the reverb’s onset.
Gate
Gated reverbs are especially useful with drums or when you need to keep the reins on a reverb tail to avoid overwhelming a mix or for creative 80’s style effects.

It took many months of fully automated capture to produce the thousands of Fusion-IRs needed for Seventh Heaven Professional. Only then could the true finesse of the modulated hardware be achieved via convolution. Treat Seventh Heaven Professional like any algorithmic reverb and forget what you’ve heard about the lifeless sound of convolution. It doesn’t apply here.
In a sampled reverb it is typically impossible to sculpt a space as required, and as is expected from users of hardware and software algorithmic reverbs. Even simple, critical tasks such as balancing the early and late reverb are impossible jobs with most convolution reverbs. Not to mention, usually any modulation is completely lost and the captures lose the organic life of the hardware.
Not so in Seventh Heaven Professional. It has the flexibility of algorithmic reverbs allowing you to perfect the acoustics of a space just as can be done on an M7 and retains the organic, lively vibe thought to be impossible to capture.

Delays With Added Tempo Synchronisation
The M7’s pre-delay and multi-voice delay can be modified as freely as within the hardware itself.

Precise Roll-off Filtering
The M7’s unique roll-off curves are perfectly designed for its reverberation and reflections. Each curve (different for v1/v2 decay and early reflections) was studied and reproduced in every available position. This provides an extremely accurate reproduction of this critical component in the acoustic chain.
5-band Post-EQ
The M7’s early and late reverb filters have been augmented with a full 5-band parametric equaliser in Seventh Heaven Professional.
Frequency Dependent Reverb Decay Times

Ducking

The full complement of controls available on the original unit have been recreated in HD Cart, with some areas receiving extensions and improvements.
Spread provides powerful room enveloping control to ensure reverbs give the source the space they require. Size and reverb time allow you to make adjustments to the perceived room size and reverberation length.
Early and late reverb roll-off controls have been extended with modern additions of 12, 18, and 24 dB slopes in addition to the usual 6 dB/oct to allow you to create rooms with bright reflections with much more realistic late reverberation properties than were possible before.
The classic spin and wander effect was meticulously studied and reproduced, and now you can supplement this with independent reflection and reverb chorusing for rich and complex modulation sequences with evolving sonic textures.

[H2] Dynamics & EQ
Dynamics
Ducking a reverb is often used to avoid a reverb swamping the dry signal, allowing the verb to be tucked away until there is space in the mix for it to fill the space between phrases. Often this will improve intelligibility. By ducking only the reverb (not the reflections) one retains the spatialisation effect of the early room without compromising intelligibility with excessive reverb tail fighting with the dry. HD Cart allows you to duck the reverb, reflections, or the combination of the two.
The dynamics module can also be switched into compression mode for treatment of the reflections, reverb, wet or input signal.
Gate
A reverb gate is used to rapidly reduce the level of the reverberated signal when it falls below a threshold and was a staple of 80s production technique on drums / snare, but also has many uses in contemporary production styles.
EQ
The EQ allows you to apply those finishing touches to the mixed reverb, with low, high and mid-band control.
