[H2] They understood exactly what we wanted- never dismissed our ideas or said something wasn’t possible Seamus Newcombe- CEO Payac [H3] Client: Payac [H4] The Challenge Payac, the fintech branch of the Irish Credit Unions, is driving digital innovation to help credit unions compete with modern financial institutions. Ahead of the annual 2025 CUMA Conference, Payac needed a standout way to communicate the value of their new digital products and services. They wanted delegates to not just hear about the future of fintech in Credit Unions but to experience it. With no experience of an existing spatial storytelling platform, they required a fully guided solution that could transform complex product messaging into a compelling audience experience. [H4] The Opportunity Create a multi-user mixed reality activation that redefines how fintech innovations are presented in a conference environment. By combining interactive spatial storytelling on an immersive multi-user mr platform, we could empower delegates to explore Payac’s products inside dynamic MR scenes tailored to the Irish credit union ecosystem. In collaboration with Payac, Monster Theory provided an end-to-end solution, a custom multi-user platform, bespoke 2D and 3D visuals, spatial content design, and live event facilitation resulting in one of the most talked-about highlights of the three-day conference. Proven In The Field [H2] 4.71/5 We had 80 participants in our Multi-user Mixed Reality (MR) experience. Results from a survey noted that users were extremely satisfied with its effectiveness to keep participants engaged. [H2] 100% All of our participants expressed complete understanding of the messaging behind Payac’s multi-user mixed reality experience. For many, it was the highlight of the CUMA conference. [H2] 9.11/10 Our participants were 9.11/10 likely to recommend the mixed reality experience to their colleagues. They expressed that it was a very effective way of getting Payac’s message across. [H2] Crafting the Visual Experience To convey Payac’s messaging, Monster Theory designed a visual system for both the multi-user mixed reality experience and multimedia content video, digital assets and print.

Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 1884 businesses audited.
Monster Theory has 11.5 points more BS than the average for Arts, Culture & Entertainment.
Arts, Culture & Entertainment BS: Monster Theory (monstertheory.world)
Monster Theory delivers genuine technical substance but wraps it in unverified ‘trust theatre’ and a thick layer of metaphorical fluff. The studio clearly executes high-level XR projects, yet the lack of named leadership and external proof paths creates a ‘black box’ agency feel. It is a capable studio with a marketing-heavy facade.
Replace the generic ‘award-winning’ claim with a dedicated section naming the specific awards, years, and categories won. Implement third-party review verification by linking the review_count to a platform like Clutch, Google Business, or LinkedIn. Add Person schema for the founders and lead creatives to provide a verifiable digital footprint for the ’10 years of experience’ claim. Include specific dates and venues for the ‘Her Father’s Voice’ and ‘One Tribe NYC’ projects to improve proof density.
The site strongly aligns with the Arts, Culture & Entertainment industry, specifically focusing on immersive design, projection mapping, and XR. The content confirms this through technical descriptions of spatial storytelling and interactive installations.
“The score of 44 is driven primarily by Trust and Proof (13 points) and Information Density (11 points). The lack of external verification links for reviews and awards, combined with high-fluff marketing copy on the About page, offsets the high-quality substance found in the Payac case study. Semantic coherence (3 points) remains a strength, as the site delivers what it promises.”
