Industry Context — Common BS Fingerprints in Crypto, Blockchain & Web3
Generic Claims: the future of finance, revolutionizing the financial system, passive income with crypto, guaranteed returns…
Red Flags: anonymous team with no verifiable identities, guaranteed return percentages on investments, urgency and FOMO language in token sales, roadmap with no completed milestones…
Semantic Drift Patterns: whitepaper describes complex technology but product is a simple token swap, roadmap promises features already months overdue, homepage claims decentralized but team controls majority of tokens, claims community governance but all decisions are team-made…
Proof Expectations: published and verifiable smart contract audit reports, named team members with verifiable LinkedIn or GitHub profiles, live on-chain metrics and contract addresses, specific VC or investor names with verifiable investment rounds…

[H4] What cryptocurrencies are supported?
Currently, the Gero Card supports ADA (Cardano). Support for additional Cardano native tokens is coming soon. When you top up your card, ADA is automatically converted to EUR at competitive market rates.
[H4] What are the fees?
Until August 1st, 2026, there are ZERO fees for topping up, paying, or withdrawing from ATMs as part of our launch promotion. After that, you can hold $GERO tokens to enjoy fee waivers: Baby Gero (€15) for basic benefits, Gero Pro (€50) for EU/INT POS fee waivers, or Gerobanga! (€200) for all fees waived. Standard fees apply for currency conversion outside the EUR zone.
[H4] What is the $GERO token tier system?
Hold $GERO tokens to unlock fee benefits. Three tiers: Baby Gero (€15 in $GERO) gives free ATM withdrawals and no monthly fee, Gero Pro (€50) adds EU/INT POS fee waivers, and Gerobanga! (€200) waives all fees. Your tier is detected automatically by holding tokens in your wallet.
[H4] Is the card available in my country?
Virtual cards are available globally (excluding US). Physical cards currently ship to European addresses. We're rapidly expanding to more regions - check the Gero Dashboard for the latest availability in your area.
[H4] Is my crypto safe?
Absolutely. The Gero Card maintains the non-custodial design of the Gero Dashboard. Your crypto remains in your wallet until you choose to top up your card. Once topped up, funds are held by our regulated banking partner, Satchel.eu, a licensed EMI in the EU.
[H4] Can I use it at ATMs?

[H4] What makes the Gero Card different from other crypto cards?
The Gero Card is the only Cardano debit card with an integrated wallet. Unlike other crypto cards that require separate apps for wallet and card management, Gero Card works seamlessly within GeroWallet. You get self-custody of your crypto, built-in staking, swaps, and the ability to spend your ADA - all in one app.
[H4] Does the Gero Card offer cashback rewards?
The Gero Card itself doesn't have a dedicated cashback program. However, GeroWallet offers a separate cashback feature for all users. Additionally, $GERO token holders enjoy fee waivers which can save you money on every transaction.

The verification process is quick and can be completed directly within the Gero Dashboard. Your GeroWallet remains non-custodial and doesn't require KYC.
[H4] How do I top up my Gero Card?
Topping up is simple: open your Gero Dashboard, navigate to the Card section, enter the amount of ADA you want to load, and confirm. Your Diagnosis

Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.

Information Density 0 / 30
Read the Narrative & headings: do hard facts (prices, dates, numbers) outweigh fluff power-words?
Semantic Coherence 0 / 20
Compare the homepage promise against the sub-page reality. Do they hold the same line?
Trust & Proof 0 / 20
Weigh review mentions against actual external proof links. Claims without verification = theatre.
Commodity Fingerprint 0 / 15
Check headings & narrative against the industry clichés in the setup above.
Identity & Authority 0 / 15
Inspect the schema: is there real Organization/Person identity with sameAs links, or gaps?
Your predicted BS score 0 / 100
💡 Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)

These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.

Information Density

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Semantic Alignment

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Trust & Proof

Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.

Commodity Fingerprint

Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.

Identity & Authority

Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.

Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Crypto, Blockchain & Web3 BS: GeroWallet (gerowallet.io)

https://gerowallet.io 📍 Industry: Crypto, Blockchain & Web3
26 BS / 100

GeroWallet is a high-substance technical product that largely avoids the vaporware patterns prevalent in the crypto industry. It backs its marketing ‘Signal’ with specific technical protocols and regulated financial partnerships. The BS detected is limited to typical industry jargon and a lack of direct links to audit reports and team bios.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
9
30% BS
Semantic Coherence Homepage promise vs. Sub-page reality.
2
10% BS
Trust & Proof Verifiable evidence vs. Trust Theatre.
6
30% BS
Commodity Fingerprint Detection of industry clichés/templates.
5
33% BS
Identity & Authority Expert verifiability & Schema depth.
4
27% BS

To further reduce the BS score, the company should: 1. Replace the ‘Audited’ text badge with a direct link to the latest security audit PDF. 2. Create a ‘Transparency Dashboard’ that provides live data for the ‘Scams Prevented’ metric. 3. Include a ‘Team’ section with doxxed members and links to their GitHub or LinkedIn profiles. 4. Add a direct link to the Chrome Web Store reviews to substantiate the review counts mentioned in the schema.

GeroWallet is a textbook fit for the Crypto and Web3 industry, specifically targeting the Cardano ecosystem. The content is saturated with ecosystem-specific technical references such as CIP-1694, Project Catalyst Fund10, and ADA-specific utility.

“The score of 26 is driven primarily by the high Information Density and Semantic Coherence. The site lost points in Trust and Proof due to unsubstantiated (though specific) performance stats and in Identity due to the lack of named human authorities. Overall, this is a 'Low BS' score, indicating high reliability.”
