GO blu Air I think the Blu Air is the best BT dongle you can buy I think the Blu Air is the best BT dongle you can buy, it has replaced my Q5K which I never thought I’d change. Phone calls are crisp on it and the XBass & Xspace add a bit of spice and colour to my music if it needs it. Rubber volume wheel is practical and a simple play/pause button also. Only gripe would be I can’t feel the on/off button without looking for it as it sits flush, some sort of tactile element would be helpful here. Really impressed. Chris Bennett 09/16/2025

uno Great Sound! I use the GO link Max with my iPad when I'm in the house, mainly for soundtrack music and some Hi res opera stuff. Paired with iem headphones, the sound is great and really quite powerful for such a small unit. I don't think it would have a problem with driving more powerful headphones. The Valkyrie is built around four Burr-Brown DACs in a hybrid multi-bit configuration, drawing from our long-standing experience with the legendary multi-bit Philips TDA1541A. This design enables the mixing of eight pairs of differential signals to capture the magic and impact of the iconic multi-bit chipset, but with superior low-level linearity for breathtaking detail. To minimise crosstalk, the analogue path sits on its own dedicated board, isolated from digital components.

[H3] Cut the Cord. Keep the Quality.
We’ve equipped Valkyrie with the latest Bluetooth technology, courtesy of Qualcomm’s flagship QCC518x chipset and the aptX Lossless codec. Offering a maximum bitrate of 1,200kbps, aptX Lossless is the first and only Bluetooth codec currently capable of wirelessly sending CD-quality audio without losing data. For those wanting high-res Bluetooth playback, the Valkyrie also supports 96kHz/24-bit audio via LDAC and LHDC/HWA codecs. The iDSD Valkyrie has other innovative, next-generation technologies up its sleeve – including full xMEMS support.

To power all its advanced features, the Valkyrie requires a serious battery configuration. Under the chassis lie four 5,000mAh lithium-ion batteries, totalling a colossal 20,000mAh.

It integrates effortlessly into my setup, driving my KEF LSX together with the KC62 in a near-field environment while also serving as a beautifully engineered desktop device.
What truly astonished me, however, was the transformation through the balanced output. With a custom OIDIO cable on my Sennheiser HD700, the Valkyrie revealed a level of transparency, spatial precision, and tonal refinement I had simply never heard from these headphones before. Microdetail, transient control, low-level resolution — everything stepped up in a way that feels unmistakably high-end.
The synergy with my LSX is equally impressive. The Valkyrie brings a sense of ease, flow, and dynamic grip that makes long listening sessions effortless. And aesthetically, it’s a device that elevates the desk as much as it elevates the sound.
Still, as a source and DAC/amp, the Valkyrie exceeded every expectation I had. It’s a device that doesn’t just play music — it unlocks it.
A few small suggestions: given how capable this device is, clearer documentation would help more users fully unlock its potential. Not everyone is familiar with terms like ASIO, gain staging, or filter selection — and a more guided onboarding experience would elevate the user journey to the same high standard as the hardware itself. Also, the Android app didn’t work for me. There’s room for improvement here.
And as a final note, I would love to see iFi expand this concept even further. A dedicated streamer in the same design language as the Valkyrie — with a truly well-designed app, optional built-in storage for a personal music library, and the ability to share a single high-quality power supply between units — would create an exceptionally clean, elegant, and minimalist setup. Such a component would perfectly complement the Valkyrie and elevate the ecosystem into a complete audiophile desktop solution. With aptX Lossless, you can enjoy CD-quality audio (44.1kHz, 16-bit) delivered with zero data loss. Additionally, the Diablo 2 supports Hi-Res audio up to 96kHz, thanks to compatibility with LDAC and LDHC/HWA codecs.

Struggling with your power-hungry headphones? Press the NOS button, and our Diablo goes into beast mode. The Diablo 2 offers three power modes: Normal for IEMs, Turbo for mid-sensitivity headphones, and Nitro for demanding headphones, boasting a 19.2V maximum output. A switch underneath activates iFi’s iEMatch technology. This feature is tailored for high-sensitivity headphones and earphones, greatly benefiting your in-ear monitors (IEMs). It removes background noise and increases the usable volume range.

The Diablo 2 comes with four wings that you can customise to position it horizontally, like a desktop DAC/amp, or vertically to save space. Additionally, it features twenty-two rails for improved cooling performance, with eight of these rails being compatible with the Diablo wings, enabling desktop stand use.

Due to the high voltage requirements of xMEMS, iFi has partnered with them to integrate this technology into the new Diablo 2. When examining the Diablo 2’s front panel, you’ll find a new Volume Lock switch next to the volume control, preventing accidental adjustments during transport.
At the back panel’s left side, there’s a switch for mode selection and Bluetooth pairing. On the right side, two USB-C ports streamline cable management—one for audio and the other for charging.

Diablo 2 features PureWave, Servoless DirectDrive, OptimaLoop, and Advanced Jitter Reduction Technology, delivering exceptionally pure, detailed, and emotionally touching sound, these technologies elevate performance to unparalleled heights, even challenging desktop DAC/amps.

PureWave’s full balanced dual-mono circuitry elevates clarity by separating channels and reducing noise. DirectDrive removes the need for coupling capacitors, ensuring purer audio. OptimaLoop employs tailored multiple feedback paths in amplifiers, refining gain control and reducing distortion.

The Diablo 2 features the latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology, supporting the new aptX Lossless codec, which provides a maximum bitrate of 1,200kbps. In comparison, aptX Adaptive has a maximum bitrate of 420kbps, while LDAC offers a higher bitrate of 990kbps.
