At a minimum, check the stack/reach measurements on your current bike and compare it to the new model you are looking at to get an idea of a fit you are already comfortable with. If riding the bike is not an option, consider the following. Personal Preference A larger size frame will be more stable, and will give you more room to move without upsetting the weight-balance of the bike. The larger size will put the front wheel further in front of you, which gives the feeling of security and conversely, it will require more significant body movements when you WANT to shift the weight-bias of the bike. Think hard about your riding style and how active/intuitive you want it to be vs stable and speedy. You'll need to work a bit harder to muscle the larger bike around. Body Dimension Not all bodies at a given height are the same. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso than the average person your height, that may push you towards the smaller of the recommended sizes. If you're all torso and arms, most likely you'll want to size up. Unsure on Size? Shop Spare Parts Contact Rider Support FAQs Suspension Setup Exploded Diagrams SRAM Transmission Setup Manuals & Files Do all sizes use MX wheels? Yes. I see there are different chainstay lengths for each size bike. Can I buy a different swingarm to customize the length on my bike? The chainstay length change occurs in the front triangles- we vary the pivot locations fore and aft to achieve the different lengths while using single size chainstays and seatstays. So no- you cannot get the chainstay length of the small on your size large, for instance. Can I put a 27.5" front wheel on the Bullit? These bikes are designed specifically to use mixed wheels. We do not recommend a 27.5 front wheel for geometry reasons. Are your ebikes certified to UL 2849 and EN 15194 standards? UL 2849: Yes, the Bullit is certified to the UL 2849 requirements, ensuring high electrical safety. EN 15194: Our ebikes meet the EN 15194 requirements, with adjustments made for the regional market. I'm coming from a 27.5 bike - what will feel different with MX? Any setup tips? An MX bike will definitely handle differently than a full 27.5 bike. The main difference you'll feel is a more stable and confident front end. The turning will be a bit slower than a 27.5, but the payoff is a more secure feeling in corners and more traction. Due to the taller front axle height and improved roll-over of the large wheel, your chances of stuffing the front wheel or going over the bars is vastly diminished. Use this security to ride challenging terrain with a more aggressive and dynamic body position. What is the largest and/or smallest rear rotor that will fit on the Bullit? The frame is designed for a post mount 200mm rear rotor and can fit up to a 220mm rear rotor. What fork offset is recommended? The Bullit geometry is optimized for a 44mm fork offset. I've been riding 29ers for a while - what will feel different with MX? Any setup tips? 29" bikes provide a ton of front wheel grip- this is partially due to the front wheel itself, but also due to the axle height of the rear wheel which works to keep the front end weighted. This creates a natural position on lower-angle terrain but requires body position and/or setup adjustments to achieve any sort of rearward bias. On an MX bike, the bias is more rearward. This gives a very natural feeling on steep descents, but requires some body position and setup consideration for a balanced feel on flatter terrain. Compared to a 29er, a slightly lower handlebar and a more forward-biased suspension setup will make an MX bike feel more like what you're used to. Additionally, using the Hi BB setting will lend itself to a more front biased feel. Using these tuning parameters will help you find the sweet spot for your terrain and preference. You'll know you have it dialed when it feels like you're never making large body weight shifts to either lift the front end or keep it stuck to the ground. Why MX (Mixed Wheels)? Mixed wheels provide the stability and traction of a 29" front wheel with the agility of a 27.5" rear wheel. The smaller rear wheel and its comparatively lower axle height allows the rider to more easily unweight the front wheel- this makes for confident yet agile handling on the steepest of descents. Additionally, on ebikes specifically, the motorized drive unit does a good job propelling the rear wheel through rough terrain, without hanging up or losing momentum. Does the Bullit have a throttle? There is no throttle. The Bullit is pedal assist only. In North America, this is a class 1 ebike. What is the max pedal assisted speed? In North America, the Bullit will have a pedal assisted max speed of 20mph/32kph. For Europe, and majority of the world, the pedal assisted max speed is 25kph. What cranks will fit on the Bosch Performance CX drive unit? All Bosch drive units use the ISIS BB spindle standard. Bullit ships with 155mm crank arms. The 2025 Bosch Performance CX gen 5 drive unit, used on the Bullit, has a slightly wider BB spindle than the previous generation and therefore needs crank arms with different offset. Is there a Bosch App? Yes, it is called the Bosch "Flow" app and is available for Apple and Android. What chain line does the Bullit use? All Bullit models use a 55mm chain line. The chainring spider, and direct mount chain rings, used in conjunction with the Bosch Performance CX gen 5 drive unit are offset to maintain a 55mm chain line measurement. What does the Flow App do? The Bosch Flow app connects to the bike via Bluetooth and allows you to record your ride. It will show the percentage of battery remaining and a range estimation. It is also possible to change the assist modes and digitally "lock" the bike. Is the Bosch app required? No, your bike is pre-programmed and ready to ride straight from the factory. Can my Garmin/Wahoo/Hammerhead head unit display Bosch information? Unfortunately, Bosch systems are not compatible with cycling computers at this time. If you want to record your ride, the best way to do that is use the Bosch Flow app. How do I update my Bosch Performance CX system Firmware? Bosch firmware updates can be installed either via the Bosch Flow app, or at your local Santa

Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 3390 businesses audited.
Santa Cruz Bicycles has 26.4 points less BS than the average for Ecommerce & Online Retail.
Ecommerce & Online Retail BS: Santa Cruz Bicycles (santacruzbicycles.com)
Santa Cruz Bicycles is a benchmark for low-BS ecommerce; it treats the customer as a technically literate user rather than a target for generic hype. The site prioritizes hardware specifications, geometry, and long-term serviceability (bearings, manuals) over standard marketing cliches.
Eliminate technical errors such as the ‘Translation missing’ strings in the UI drawers to maintain the premium technical image. Add Person schema for key engineers or designers to anchor the ‘Enginerds’ claim in verifiable human expertise. Integrate third-party review platform widgets (e.g., Trustpilot or Google Reviews) to provide external validation for the low internal review counts.
The site perfectly matches the Ecommerce & Online Retail category, specifically high-end performance sporting goods. The content identifies as a manufacturer with a direct-to-consumer and dealer-supported sales model.
“The low score of 10 is driven by the extreme technical specificity of the product descriptions and the direct alignment between marketing signals and engineering proof. Minor points were only added for concept repetition of the 'lifetime' claims and minor technical implementation gaps like the missing translation strings.”
