Our facilities are fully wheelchair accessible, and we take pride in accommodating children with diverse requirements, including those with physical and sensory disabilities. Flexible Hours to Suit Your ScheduleWe understand the demands of modern family life and are pleased to offer flexible opening hours to accommodate those needs. Our doors open Monday to Friday from 8.00 am until 6:00 pm, with an option for an early start from 7.30 am, allowing you to select the arrangement that best suits your routine. Our transparent fee structure ensures you can plan effectively for your childcare needs without unexpected costs or complications.Government Funding & Financial SupportWe’re pleased to participate in various government funding schemes to make quality child care and early education more accessible for all families. Eligible working families or those receiving government support can access funded places at our nursery. Additionally, we offer the universal 15-hour entitlement and extended 30-hour entitlement, helping to reduce the financial burden of childcare. We also accept tax-free childcare payments, providing further financial flexibility for working parents. Our administration team is always happy to discuss the various funding options available to your family and assist with the application process. Please refer to our summary table for details of attendance patterns and fee arrangements.A Gentle Introduction to Nursery LifeWe understand that embarking on nursery life represents a significant transition for both children and parents, which is why we’ve developed a comprehensive settling-in programme tailored to suit your child’s needs. Upon registration, you will be offered an optional 2 settling-in sessions and a one-to-one consultation with the Manager as part of our transition package. This can be followed by carefully planned independent visits, with durations gradually extending as your child grows in confidence, until you feel happy that they are well and truly settled.  Some children settle quickly, while others benefit from a more gradual approach – we respect each child’s unique pace and work closely with parents to ensure a smooth transition.

I cannot praise Wolds Nursery enough! Since day one of our daughter starting at the nursery we have always felt relaxed and happy with leaving her with such lovely staff. The staff put the children first with healthy home cooked meals and snacks, outstanding development and of course having lots fun from messy play, baking to dancing. The outdoor space is perfect with fields and homemade obstacles, they take the children out to see local farm animals and to explore the wildlife, I have always been blown away by what our daughter as achieved at a youngayoung and this is all thanks to the amazing staff, I visited many nursery before this one and straight away I could tell this is a special place, no broken or dirty toys and such a bright happy environment, if you are looking at nurse you need to visit The Wolds Day Nursery you will not be disappointed!

We cannot speak highly enough of The Wolds. Sadly, our little boy will not be returning to the nursery after lockdown due to his selfish parents moving house! But we wanted to say a huge thank you to every one of the incredible members staff at this lovely nursery. You are absolutely amazing. When we became parents, we looked at the cost of nurseries and, in honesty, worried about whether the expense was truly justified/worth it. Now that we have experienced The Wolds, we know that it was worth every penny. The progress our son made whilst at The Wolds was amazing and I know that your team is hugely responible for the lovely little boy that he has become. I won’t list all of the colleagues that have cared for him (for fear of missing someone out), but the ladies that looked after our Ben, most notably his key workers and Wendy, the wonderful chef that catered to his allergies in the early days, are people we’ll be thankful for forever. You are absolutely amazing at your jobs and I hope you feel proud of the positive influence you are having on the lives of so many young people (and that of their parents!). We are going to miss The Wolds and feel so sad that we didn’t get to say a proper goodbye to thank you for everything that you’ve done. If you’re a new parent and you’re reading this whilst trying to decide which nursery to send your child to - send them here. You won’t regret it. ?

Little Lambs at Lambley is proud to call the historic Old School Room our home. Dating back to circa 1874, our charming building has stood on Church Street for nearly two centuries, originally serving as the village school before being thoughtfully converted into a nursery setting in 1994. When we opened our doors as Little Lambs in August 2024, we became the newest chapter in this building’s long history of nurturing young minds. This beautiful red-brick structure, with its distinctive period features and character, provides a warm, homely environment perfect for optimum early years development – combining historical charm with modern childcare and education facilities.Our Village SettingNestled in the picturesque village of Lambley, our nursery enjoys a truly idyllic location just seven miles from Nottingham’s bustling city centre. The name ‘Lambley’ derives from Old English, meaning ‘lamb’s meadow’ – a fitting heritage for our Little Lambs! This charming village, mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 as ‘Lambeleia’, is steeped in history and surrounded by beautiful countryside, including the famous Lambley Dumbles – secluded areas noted for their unique geology and ancient woodland rich in flowers and ferns. Whilst the 15 and 30 hours subsidised government funding covers the standard elements of the EYFS, we believe that there is only one opportunity to provide the best start in life, and one chance to maximise your child’s opportunities and experiences during their formative years; prior to children entering school, 95% of their brain has already developed!To enable us to offer more than the standard EYFS provision which the Government Funding covers, our Enhanced Provision fee includes the following;Highly skilled and qualified staffSports Development ProgrammeGrowing Talk ProgrammeJolly Phonics ProgrammeLocal Walks and trips within our communityFull access to FAMLY App, with photographs and updates of your child’s progressGraduation and special events such as Religious celebrations, Mothers and Fathers Day, inter-generational days to name but a few! Enhanced Provision charges are voluntary for parents to contribute. All the above is only made possible because our parents understand that they come as an additional cost to ourselves. We do not wish to dilute this offering, but without most ‘opting in’, we would unfortunately only receive the government funding which does not allow for these additional extras so we thank you for supporting us with this.If you choose not to take up this option, we will of course continue to facilitate the Early years Foundation Stage through alternative offering. All of these options will be discussed during your visit.

Our secure outdoor play area offers varied opportunities for active play, sensory exploration, and connection with nature throughout the year. Being situated in the beautiful village of Lambley provides us with unique access to the famous Lambley Dumbles, where we conduct regular nature walks for our older children. These experiences encourage environmental awareness, physical development, and a sense of adventure that cannot be replicated indoors.Nutritional ExcellenceNutrition plays a vital role in children’s development, which is why we place such strong emphasis on our food provision. All meals and snacks are freshly prepared on-site by our dedicated catering team using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our varied menu introduces children to diverse flavours and textures whilst meeting all nutritional requirements for growing bodies and minds. We meticulously cater for allergies and special dietary needs, ensuring every child enjoys safe, nutritious meals alongside their peers regardless of dietary restrictions.If you do not wish to purchase our meals option, you can bring in lunch in the morning but will need to drop tea off at 3.30 as we do not have the facilities for cold storage. Packed lunches must adhere to our ‘healthy bodies, healthy me’ policy.
