[H1] Admissions Process

Registration to join us in Year 7 & Sixth Form for September 2027 in now open. If you would like to be considered for a late application for 2026, please contact admissions@radnorhouse.org for further information.

Please see below the key dates and processes for admissions into Year 7 and the Sixth Form for September 2027.

Year 7 2027 Admissions Process and Key Dates

Sixth Form 2027 Admissions Process and Key Dates

[H3]

[H3] Occasional Places

Our main entry points are at Year 7 and Sixth Form in September, other entry points are considered to be Occasional Places.

If you would like to inform us of your interest should a place become available, please fill in the Radnor House Enquiry Form. For any mid-year places that may become available, assessment will be offered and subsequent places filled as soon as possible.

For Occasional places for September 2026 entry, we expect to know if we have any spaces to offer by the end of the Easter Break next year, however please do contact us to learn more about this process.

If you would like to register in advance for an Occasional Place, please complete an online registration form and submit the £180 (including VAT) registration fee. Once registered, you will automatically be contacted should a place become available and an invitation to attend an assessment will be offered.

The assessment currently used for Occasional Places is a Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4), which is an online diagnostic assessment taken on-site at our school. This is designed to help us to understand how pupils learn, what their academic potential might be and how they are likely to perform should they be offered a place. Please note that this form of testing cannot be prepared for. The test will take approximately two hours to complete, which is inclusive of extra time should it be required. Following the testing session, an informal interview with the Principal or Head will be arranged, and a school reference will also be requested and given due consideration.

[H3] Access Arrangements

We are able to grant access arrangements, such as extra time or use of a computer, for the examinations to support those applicants with a diagnosed special educational need or disability. Any request for access arrangements needs to be supported by a written report from a recognised educational professional, dated within two years of the published assessment date. The request for access arrangements must be submitted, along with all other written documentation, by the published registration deadline. Evidence of history for the need of this provision will be sought from the applicant's current school.

When considering access arrangements, they will only be awarded if the applicant would be granted the concessions in external formal exams, in line with the most recently published Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) Regulations (2024-2025).

Please submit copies of any relevant reports confirming the details of the specific arrangements when completing the online registration form. Any concessions awarded for the examinations will only be confirmed once the relevant reports have been received and reviewed.

Your Diagnosis

Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.

Information Density 0 / 30
Read the Narrative & headings: do hard facts (prices, dates, numbers) outweigh fluff power-words?
Semantic Coherence 0 / 20
Compare the homepage promise against the sub-page reality. Do they hold the same line?
Trust & Proof 0 / 20
Weigh review mentions against actual external proof links. Claims without verification = theatre.
Commodity Fingerprint 0 / 15
Check headings & narrative against the industry clichés in the setup above.
Identity & Authority 0 / 15
Inspect the schema: is there real Organization/Person identity with sameAs links, or gaps?
Your predicted BS score 0 / 100
💡 Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)

These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.

Information Density

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Semantic Alignment

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Trust & Proof

Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.

Commodity Fingerprint

Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.

Identity & Authority

Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.

Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

45 BS / 100

Radnor House Twickenham presents a professional but technically neglected digital facade. While the admissions data is substantive and up-to-date, the repeated inclusion of CMS editing instructions in the heading structure (‘Paste in video URL’) and the lack of published A-level statistics suggest a marketing presence that hasn’t been audited for substance or technical professionalism. It is a school that appears to be transitioning physically (to Kneller Hall) but has left its digital standards behind.

Immediate removal of the placeholder text ‘Paste in video URL and save page via the Edit tab’ from the H3 heading template across all pages. Publish a dedicated ‘Academic Results’ page with specific numerical data for GCSE and A-Level outcomes from 2024-2025. Add direct outbound links to the most recent ISI or Ofsted inspection reports to validate the ‘outstanding’ claims. Implement Organization and Person schema to connect Principal Amy Cavilla and the school entity to verifiable external professional profiles.

The content perfectly matches the Education, Schools & Universities category, focusing on admissions processes, open days, and curriculum values. The presence of specific entry points like Year 7 and Sixth Form, along with the transition to Kneller Hall, confirms this is a standard independent school digital presence.

“The score of 45 is driven primarily by the high technical credibility gap (Pillar 5) and template debris (Pillar 4). While the admissions process contains legitimate substance, the lack of performance data (Pillar 3) and the technical failure of having CMS instructions visible in headings (Pillar 2 and 5) prevent the site from achieving a lower BS score. It sits in the 'Moderate BS' range where marketing claims are let down by poor technical oversight.”
