Hiut is a family-owned company hand making jeans in our factory in Aberteifi, Wales. A town with a passionate denim heritage, in the 1960’s Aberteifi's first jeans factory employed over 400 artisans, crafting 35,000 pairs a week. When production moved offshore in 2002, that knowledge and skill was left behind. Hiut was founded in 2011 to bring those skills back home, not to make the most jeans, but the best. Our mission was to train a new generation of craftspeople, and ensure this way of making, rooted in careful production, endured. Today, Hiut continues to express this mission and the spirit of its name: High-end Utility.
