The club’s first move of the summer sees the key midfielder remain at Molineux for the rebuild next season, and the both the timing and positivity of the announcement are significant in Jackson’s eyes. With a busy summer ahead at Compton Park, Andre’s future is now looked after, and it was the Brazilian’s commitment from early on which assured the club’s hierarchy that he was serious about staying and fighting next season. On Andre’s new contract “We’re delighted to have Andre as an integral part of our quest to get back into the Premier League as quickly as possible. It’s brilliant that he's bought into the project, and we’ve seen his professionalism, his quality shining through. He's still developing, but it's a brilliant commitment from him, and really a sign of the type of individual that he is. “It's a big statement from us. I think it shows the intentions around the quality of player that we want to have at the football club, the way that we want to move forward, and having people that are settled here already is a huge part of that. They understand our culture, understand what we're trying to be, and have that individual talent to go with it.” On his commitment to the club “He went on record quite early, saying that he had that commitment to stay, and he's a man of his word. Once we got the contract structure sorted out, he very much wanted to get us back. He understands the responsibility of not just his own performances but helping us to build a team together. He's got those leadership qualities that we're crying out for, but obviously we also know that he's got the level to play in the Premier League as well, which is a huge bonus. “He's a big character at the club. We probably see a slightly different version to him than perhaps our supporters do, he is a great character, and he's got a great sense of humour.
