[H2] Peridot Facts - What is Peridot? [H3] Peridot Pronounciation Peridot is pronounced: “pear-a-doe” or “pear-a-dot” [H3] Largest Peridots in the World The world’s largest cut Peridot stone ever found is 311.78 carats (62.35 grams)! It was discovered on Zagbargad Island, Egypt, and is now housed at the Smithsonian Museums, USA. Also, an exquisite 192,75 carat Peridot gemstone is kept in the Diamond Treasury – Moscow, Russia. Furthermore, a 146 carat Peridot gem is kept in the Geological Museum in London, England. [H3] Official August Birthstone Peridot was adopted the official birthstone for the month of August in 1912 by American National Association of Jewelers. The beautiful and powerful gemstone is said to protect and help anyone born in August. The Peridot birthstone is believed to ward off any fear or insecurity, and increase self-confidence and joy. The August birthstone Peridot is also the birthstone for the zodiac signs Leo (Jul.23 – Aug.22) and Virgo (Aug.23 – Se.22). [H3] 16th Anniversary Gemstone A Peridot gemstone is the perfect gift for couples celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary. It is recommended as the 16th anniversary gemstone. [IMG: 450-Carat-Emerald-Cut-Peridot-and-Diamond-Ring-14K-White-Gold-0] [IMG: Peridot Leo Virgo 16th Anniversary] [H2] Elements that determine the Peridot Price [H3] Color The Peridot value is very much determined by the color of the stone. The darker green color contains less iron and is more valuable then the yellow-green Peridots. [H3] Size The size of the gem will affect the price of Peridot. This has to do with the fact that larger Peridots of 5 carats or more are quite rare, and therefor more expensive – per carat! [H3] Clarity A top quality Peridot has an eye clean clarity. Any visible inclusions (black spots, lily pads etc.) will lower the price of the Peridot stone. [H3] Origin Myanmar and Pakistan have some of the largest and finest quality Peridots. Such top quality Peridots are rare and thus more expensive. Commercial quality Peridots from USA, China, Vietnam, and South Africa are mostly under 5 carats and the price per carat is therefore lower. [H2] FAQ Peridot [H3] Occurance Peridot can be found in Pakistan, Myanmar, USA, China, Vietnam, and South Africa. Peridot – in its basic form – has also been discovered in meteorites, on the Moon, and on Mars. [H3] Formula Peridot Chemical Formula: (Mg,Fe)2(SiO)4 [H3] Color The color of the Peridot gemstone is always untreated and totally natural. The color ranges between light yellow-green to dark grass-green. The darker green Peridot color is more valuable than the yellow-green. [H3] Value The Peridot value ranges from $25-$500 per carat. [H3] Properties Peridot is said to promote prosperity, happiness, good luck, peace & protection [H3] Chakra Peridot affects the heart chakra & the solar plexus chakra [H3] Healing Peridot as a healing stone can be beneficial for the whole body, especially the heart, lungs, stomach, liver & kidneys. [H3] Pronounciation Peridot can be pronounced in two ways: “pear-a-doe” or “pear-a-dot” [H3] Birthstone Peridot is the official birthstone of the month of August. [H3] Zodiac Peridot Zodiac Signs: Leo, Virgo [H3] Anniversary Peridot is the 16th Anniversary gemstone. [H3] [H1] [IMG: peridot-color-olive-green] [H2] What color is Peridot? Most Peridot gemstones are olive green. However, the Peridot color ranges from yellow-green to dark-green, depending on the iron content of the gemstone. A yellow-green Peridot stone has more iron compared to a darker-green Peridot. The iron content will not only affect the color of the gemstone, but the value as well. The darker-green Peridots – with less iron – are more valuable and expensive compared to the yellow-green Peridots. Even so, the olive green color is very popular and it is relatively unique since there are not many gemstones that occur in this color naturally. [H2] When was Peridot first discovered? Peridot is an Ancient Gemstone. The history of Peridot goes back more than 3,500 years when the Egyptians discovered the gemstone. In those days, Peridot was highly desired and adored. The gemstone was said to have magical powers and was often used for healing and protection. The ancient Egyptians believed that the Peridot stone could ward off evil and protect against nightmares. [H2] What is Peridot? What is the chemical composition of Peridot? Peridot is a Gem-Quality Olivine. Peridot is the most well-known gem variety of the silicate mineral called Olivine. So what is a Peridot – its chemical composition? The formula of Olivine is (Mg, Fe)2SiO4 – and since Peridot is a very magnesium rich variety of Olivine, the Peridot chemical composition approaches Mg2SiO4. [H2] Where is Peridot found? Most Peridots occur in lava rocks, but the gemstone has – in its basic form – been discovered in meteorites as well! The most precious and valuable Peridots are found in Burma and Pakistani. However, the majority of commercial Peridots come from USA, China, Vietnam and South Africa. [H2] Peridot Prices – How much does a Peridot cost? [IMG: peridot price] The Peridot price per carat ranges a lot. For example, you can find gorgeous peridot rings with silver setting for as little as $25, and there are Peridot stones that can go for about $900 a carat! Factors such as color, size, and quality will determine the peridot value. In general, the Peridot prices are relatively low and you can find lots of beautiful Peridot jewelry at reasonable costs. If you are on a budget, look for the green-yellow Peridots with sizes under 5 carats. [H2] What are the advantages of buying loose Peridots? If you want to make sure that your get the best Peridot value for your money, you could buy loose Peridot stones instead of pre-set stones. A jewelry setting can hide the inclusions and deepen/brighten its color – whereas with loose Peridot gemstones, you will be able to inspect the whole stone and thereby get a fair price. [H2] What are the healing properties of Peridot? The Peridot powers include prosperity, good luck, happiness, and peace. Its vibration resonates with success, openness, and growth. It is perfect for manifestation of all desired things! The beautiful olive green Peridot [IMG: Beautiful Young Woman Outdoor. Enjoy Nature] gemstone can also be very helpful if you want to increase your self-confidence and become more assertive. It can also have a balancing and soothing effect on your nerves. The Peridot stone is said to clear the pathway to the heart and is a symbol of undying love. It is also a perfect stone to wear for protection against psychic attack, nightmares, or to ward off evil. When viewing the Peridot healing properties on a physical level, it is said to be truly amazing. Peridot offers healing to the whole body, which means that this precious gemstone can be useful for any ailments – but is especially useful for the heart, lungs, stomach, liver, and kidneys. To name a few, the healing properties of Peridot include the reduction of stress, stomach issues, sugar sensitivity, and circulation problems. [H2] Is Peridot used for healing the Chakras? [IMG: chakra meditazione] Yes. Due to its balancing effect and its light green color, the Peridot gemstone is often associated with the Heart Chakra and the Solar Plexus Chakra. The green color is the color of healing, especially on the heart and the solar plexus chakra. It symbolizes the life force and connects with the healing powers of Archangel Raphael. This is why the Peridot gemstone is often used in spiritual healing. The green Peridot color is associated with the heart chakra, where emotions of unconditional love, forgiveness, and trust is centered. The Peridot stone can assist you in letting go of the past and help you to release negative emotions such as anger, hate, jealousy, and fear. On a physical level, the green Peridot gem can be very beneficial with problems of the heart, lungs, upper back, shoulders, thymus, and the circulatory system. Since the Peridot gemstone also has a yellow nuance in itself, it can be very helpful for the solar plexus chakra as well. This chakra is the center for self-esteem and accomplishment. When the solar plexus chakra is not balanced, we can become very Ego oriented, critical of ourselves and others, and have a tendency to worry a lot. The light green Peridot crystal can help soothing problems with digestion, ulcer, bulimia, anorexia, hepatitis, diabetes, adrenal glands, pancreas, spleen, liver, kidney, adrenal glands, and the endocrine systems. SUB-PAGE (https://peridot.com/types-of-gold/) Types of Gold – Colors, Karats, & Coatings
[H1] Types of Gold – Colors, Karats, & Coatings Home / Types of Gold – Colors, Karats, & CoatingsReturn to Previous Page [H2] What are the different types of gold in jewelry? [H2] [IMG: types-of-gold] When you are buying gold jewelry, you often get to choose between different types of gold colors, gold karats, and gold plating options. What do all those things mean, and is there a big difference between the different gold types? Here’s a quick guide to learn about gold colors, karats, and coatings. [H2] GOLD COLORS Gold jewelry is not pure gold. It is an alloy; a mixture of metals. Gold jewelry can be alloyed with silver, copper, zinc, palladium, and nickel to create different gold colors. The most common gold colors are: yellow, white, rose, and green. [IMG: yellow-gold-color] Yellow gold is made by mixing pure gold with silver, copper, and zinc. It is the purest color, the most hypo-allergenic, and requires the least maintenance of all the gold colors. [IMG: white-gold-color] White gold is made of gold and platinum (or palladium). White gold can also be made of gold, palladium, nickel and zinc. White gold is more durable and scratch-resistant than yellow gold. It is also more affordable than both yellow gold and platinum. [IMG: rose-gold-color] Rose gold (or pink gold) is alloyed with gold, copper, and silver. Rose gold is more affordable than the other gold colors because it uses the inexpensive copper for its rose color. Due to its copper content, rose gold is more durable than yellow or white gold. [IMG: green-gold-color] Green gold (or Electrum) is mixed with gold, silver, and sometimes copper. Silver is what gives the gold alloy the green nuance. [IMG: gold-types] So which type of gold is the most popular? Yellow gold used to be the most favored choice, but when the gold price became more expensive, people turned to white gold instead. White gold has therefore been the more popular choice for the last 20-30 years, especially in engagement and wedding rings. [H2] GOLD KARATS The first thing to look for when buying gold jewelry, is the karat mark ”k”. The karat mark will let you know how much gold content the jewelry has. Then, look for the manufacturer’s trademark next to the karat mark. The manufacturer’s trademark is there to assure you that the karat mark is accurate. So, what does the karat mark mean? 100% pure gold is marked as “24k”. However, it is unusual to find a “24k” mark on a jewelry because pure gold is a soft metal and is more likely to scratch and bend. Gold in jewelry is therefore often mixed with other metals to make it more durable. If you live in the United States, you will most likely find the mark that says “14k” because it is the most common type of gold used in jewelry in the U.S. Also, note that it is not legal to mark or sell jewelry as ”gold” if the gold is under 10k, according to laws in the U.S. Gold Karat Stamps, Markings Pure Gold Content Alloyed With Other Metals Note 24K 24K, 24 kt, 999 100% 0% Tends to bend or scratch easily 18K 18K, 18kt, 750 75% 25% Ideal for jewelry 14K 14K, 14kt, 585 58.5% 41.5% Ideal for jewelry 10k 10K, 10kt, 417 41.7% 58.3% Affordable for jewelry [H2] GOLD PLATING OPTIONS To know what type of gold coating the jewelry has, look for the quality stamp on the metal. Without a quality stamp on the item, you will not be able to know the type of gold used; if the jewelry is gold plated, rolled gold plated, gold filled etc. There are several types of gold plating options that you may come across when buying gold jewelry. Below is a short description on what the different types of gold plating options actually mean. [H3] GOLD LAYERED Since there is no Federal standard for “gold layered”, a gold layered jewelry could in fact have a super thin gold layer! [H3] GOLD LEAF Gold leaf is gold that has been hammered by hand into extremely thin layers and been wrapped (or glided) around the metal. Usually 22K or 24K gold is used as thin gold layers/sheets to decorate art work and jewelry. You can recognize gold leaf jewelry by its irregularities of the foil surrounding the item. [H3] GOLD PLATED - GOLD ELECTROPLATED If the jewelry is “gold plated” or “gold electroplated” it means that it has a very thin layer of gold onto the surface of the metal. The base metal can be stainless steel or brass dipped into gold. Gold plating is a process known as electroplating that gives the jewel a gold-like appearance. To be named “gold plated” or “gold electroplated”, the gold layer needs to be at least 7 millionths of an inch thick and of at least 10k gold quality. Since the gold layer is quite thin, it can wear off over time. The metal must have a stamp indicating plated quality: “GP”, “G.P”, “GEP”, or “G.E.P”. Examples: “10K GP”, “10K GEP”. [H3] GOLD OVERLAY - ROLLED GOLD PLATED A “gold overlay” or “rolled gold plated” jewelry has a thicker gold coating and is thus more durable over time. The gold content must be of at lest 10K gold quality but can be lower than 1/20 of the total weight. The base metal can be brass, stainless steel, or copper. It uses heat and pressure process to mix and bond the metals. A gold overlay or rolled gold plated jewelry must have a stamp indicating plated quality: “GO”, “G.O”, “RGP” or “R.G.P”. Examples: “1/40 10K GO”, “1/40 10K RGP”. [H3] GOLD FILLED A gold filled jewelry is not actually filled with gold. Usually, its base metals are brass or copper covered by sheets of gold. It uses a heat and pressure process (bonding process) to mix and bond the metals together. The gold content must be of at least 10K gold quality and the gold content must be at least 1/20 (5%) of the total weight. The gold layer will not flake or peel off with reasonable care. A gold filled jewelry is safe for most people with sensitive skin. The metal must have a stamp indicating filled/plated quality: “GF” or “G.F”. Example: “1/20 10K GF” [H3] VERMEIL Vermeil (pronounced ver-may) simply means “gold plated sterling silver”. The difference between “vermeil” and “gold plated/filled”, is that gold vermeil jewelry has a thicker gold layer and uses sterling silver as its base metal. This is why vermeil is a better choice (compared to other gold plated jewelry items) for those with skin allergy. Vermeil is usually not marked, but if a gold jewelry is marked with a “925” stamp, it probably means that it is a gold vermeil. (The stamp for sterling silver is 925, .925, or the modern stamp S925. It stands for 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% alloyed metals.) SUB-PAGE (https://peridot.com/jewelry-metals/) What are the different types of jewelry metals?
[H1] Jewelry Metals Home / Jewelry MetalsReturn to Previous Page [H2] What are the differences between Platinum, Gold, Red Gold, Silver, Titanium…? [IMG: jewelry-metals] There are many different jewelry metals to choose between when buying Peridot rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets etc. To make a more informed decision, learn about their unique qualities, and compare their benefits with each other. Find quick information on the most common jewelry metals: platinum, palladium, white gold, yellow gold, rose/pink/red gold, sterling silver, titanium, zirconium, stainless steel, and wolfram tungsten carbide. [H3] PLATINUM This metal has a silver-white metallic appearance. It is durable and resistant to corrosion. Platinum is also extremely rare – much rarer than gold and silver – and therefore the most expensive jewelry metal. [H3] PALLADIUM Palladium is a cheaper option to platinum. It gets the same beautiful shiny surface after polishing as white gold, but it is less susceptible to scratches and discoloration than white gold. This is a relatively new metal for jewelry designers and is increasing in popularity, especially since it became officially recognized as a precious metal with a voluntary hallmark in 2009. [H3] WHITE GOLD White gold is created by alloying pure gold (24k) with white metals such as platinum, palladium, nickel, and zinc. It is more affordable than platinum and yellow gold, and more scratch-resistant and durable than yellow gold. [H3] YELLOW GOLD Yellow gold is alloyed with pure gold (24k), silver, copper, and zinc. Of all gold colors, yellow gold is the purest, most hypo-allergenic, and requires the least maintenance. [H3] ROSE GOLD - PINK GOLD - RED GOLD This jewelry metal is alloyed with pure gold (24k), copper, and silver. The copper content allows the red nuance, makes it more durables, and more affordable – compared to yellow gold and white gold. [H3] SILVER (STERLING SILVER) Pure sterling silver is the whitest metal. Sterling silver is a very soft metal and easy to work with. It can be shaped, re-sized, and soldered. Sterling silver is sometimes plated with rhodium to act as a hard protective layer. Even though sterling silver costs significantly more than titanium, it is still a very affordable jewelry metal. [H3] TITANIUM order Asacol This metal has a darker gray/brown appearance and is very durable. There are a lot of titanium in the world so the prices can be kept low. Titanium is a lot cheaper than silver and is an extremely good jewelry metal if you are looking for affordable quality. [H3] ZIRCONIUM Zirconium has a similar color as titanium, is very durable, and is in the same price range as titanium. The main difference though is that zirconium is easier to work with, which means that there are more designs for rings in zirconium than in titanium. [H3] STAINLESS STEEL Stainless steel is a perfect jewelry metal if you are on a smaller budget. Stainless steel is durable and relatively hard, making it ideal for accessories, as well as engagement and wedding rings. [H3] WOLFRAM TUNGSTEN CARBIDE This jewelry metal has a dark gray appearance, and takes a higher luster when polished. Wolfram tungsten carbide is increasing in popularity due to its durability and that it is in fact unbreakable! However, it is not indestructible and can be cracked upon impact with a hard surface in a case of emergency. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Jewelry, Luxury & High-End Goods BS: Peridot (peridot.com)
Peridot.com is an informational niche site wearing a ‘luxury jewelry store’ mask that is slipping. While the mineral facts are technically accurate, the presence of pharmaceutical spam, unverified review counts, and the lack of human authority suggest this is a lead-generation shell rather than a credible gemstone authority.
Immediately audit and remove pharmaceutical link injections (order Asacol) to restore basic technical integrity. Replace anonymous articles with content authored by a named, verifiable GIA-certified gemologist and link to their credentials. Remove the ‘healing properties’ claims to align with professional luxury industry standards. Implement proper Organization and Person schema to replace the generic WebSite structured data.
The site aligns with the jewelry industry primarily through informational content and mineralogical data. However, there is a distinct mismatch between the luxury positioning implied by the domain and the low-authority, affiliate-style execution of the content.
“The score of 45 is driven primarily by the Trust and Authority pillars. The site receives credit for mineralogical specificity in Information Density, but is heavily penalized for the technical failure of pharmaceutical spam and the presence of unverified 'trust theatre' reviews.”
