[H2] Warranty & Repairs
The Care of Your Jewel
Each Temple St. Clair jewel is crafted in our workshops and undergoes quality control.
Your jewel is warranted for a period of two years from the date of purchase against defects in craftsmanship. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal wear, accidents, or improper use.
We recommend that all servicing and repairs be carried out by Temple St. Clair. Work performed outside our workshops may compromise the piece and will void this warranty. For service, please contact our repair department at repairs@templestclair.com
For care at home, clean with mild soap and cool water. Avoid harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaning, and abrasive methods. Periodic professional cleaning and inspection are recommended.
[H2] Jewelry Care
Please take care of your jewels. Temple St. Clair jewelry is meant to stand the test of time. However, that does not mean that our jewels are to be worn for heavy lifting! Use our pouches and boxes to protect your jewels when not being worn. If your jewels need a little refreshening, keep it simple – a light bath in a mild soap, with a rinse in cool water can remove most oils from normal wear. No bleach, no ultrasonic, no rough and tumble processes. We recommend a periodic professional cleaning. For questions concerning jewelry care, please contact repairs@templestclair.com.

[H2] Country of Origin
Temple St. Clair founded her eponymous company in Florence, Italy and has continued to work with Florentine master goldsmiths, setters, chiselers, and engravers since the 1980’s. As Temple St. Clair has grown and expanded, we have sought out some of the greatest artisanal hands worldwide. We have extended our reach to other jewelry centers in Italy; to Italian goldsmiths who have set up workshops in Thailand; and to individual craftsmen in Sri Lanka (ancient Ceylon). Each of these countries has a rich tradition of fine gold work. We have also brought some work home to the United States; many of our wonderful chains are made domestically.
Temple St. Clair is now headquartered in New York City and being a U. S. based company, we follow U.S. importation and product disclosure regulations for all our jewelry. According to U.S. customs and importation guidelines, Country of Origin of a finished piece of jewelry is defined by the country “where a piece undergoes substantial transformation”, meaning where a piece becomes a ring, earring, pendant etc. An individual pendant may include an 18K gold angel coin made in Florence but if that coin is made into a ring or pendant in Sri Lanka, the country of origin is Sri Lanka. The same applies to a jewel with a gemstone: for example, we send a beautiful green tourmaline from Namibia to Florence to make a ring; the resulting country of origin of the ring will be Italy where it is made, not where the gem is from.
Our goldsmith partners in Italy, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and the United States are like family to us. We have known and worked with them for decades. We visit the workshops regularly to review our expectations and to communicate our vision. Each one of our goldsmiths knows, respects and is proud to fulfill our uncompromising demand for quality. Together we strive to maintain the millennia-old, cross-cultural traditions of fine jewelry while seeking to define leadership in responsible practices for the future.
To validate COO for finished jewelry, TSC has a system in place that includes the following measures: (a) Imported product is processed by Overton & Co., America’s oldest operating Customs brokerage, (b) a COO tag is attached to imported TSC merchandise when shipped, and (c) TSC’s senior management team regularly conducts site visits to its manufacturers to observe the work in progress.

[H2] Supplier Code of Conduct
Temple St. Clair LLC (TSC) prides itself on its reputation for honesty, integrity, and excellence in everything we do. We hold our suppliers and business partners to the same high standards to which we hold ourselves. Our customers and stakeholders demand no less. TSC therefore expects and requires that all goods purchased for sale through our wholesale, retail, and ecommerce entities, or under its trademarks, be produced in facilities that meet certain specific criteria for human rights, working conditions and protection of the environment. Your Diagnosis

Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.

Information Density 0 / 30
Read the Narrative & headings: do hard facts (prices, dates, numbers) outweigh fluff power-words?
Semantic Coherence 0 / 20
Compare the homepage promise against the sub-page reality. Do they hold the same line?
Trust & Proof 0 / 20
Weigh review mentions against actual external proof links. Claims without verification = theatre.
Commodity Fingerprint 0 / 15
Check headings & narrative against the industry clichés in the setup above.
Identity & Authority 0 / 15
Inspect the schema: is there real Organization/Person identity with sameAs links, or gaps?
Your predicted BS score 0 / 100
💡 Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)

These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.

Information Density

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Semantic Alignment

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Trust & Proof

Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.

Commodity Fingerprint

Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.

Identity & Authority

Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.

Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Jewelry, Luxury & High-End Goods BS: Temple St. Clair (templestclair.com)

https://templestclair.com 📍 Industry: Jewelry, Luxury & High-End Goods
25 BS / 100

Temple St. Clair is a rare example of high-substance luxury. It eschews the typical smoke-and-mirrors of the jewelry industry by providing a detailed manufacturing roadmap and specific material purity claims, resulting in a remarkably low BS score for its category.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.

17% BS
Semantic Coherence Homepage promise vs. Sub-page reality.
3
15% BS
Trust & Proof Verifiable evidence vs. Trust Theatre.

First, implement Organization and Person schema to formally link Temple St. Clair to her professional history and verified awards. Second, fix the homepage technical hierarchy by adding a specific H1 tag that defines the brand’s primary value proposition. Third, add a dedicated Awards or Press page that lists the specific award-winning moments mentioned in the meta-description to substantiate that claim.

The content perfectly aligns with the Jewelry, Luxury & High-End Goods category. The focus on 18K gold, specific gemstone naming (Pink Sapphire, Emerald, Rock Crystal), and detailed manufacturing provenance confirms its position in high-end joaillerie.

“The score of 25 is driven primarily by minor technical authority gaps (missing H1, weak schema) and the repetition of marketing quotes on the homepage. The site's transparency regarding manufacturing and its detailed operational policies significantly reduced the scores in Information Density and Semantic Coherence pillars.”
