Founded in 1869 by Thomas Weir, Weir & Sons has become one of Dublin’s most recognisable luxury retailers. Their Grafton Street store has stood the test of time, drawing in visitors with its distinctive curved windows and inviting presence.

Our Jewellery workshop and Watch workshop are both filled with wonder, where craft has been passed down from generation to generation, and beloved pieces from all over the country come to be revived. Our watch workshop looks after battery replacements and watch servicing. We are now an official Rolex Authorised Service Centre which means that three Rolex-trained watchmakers and a technician will offer a first-class service to your timepiece in-store. Our jewellery workshop covers everything from jewellery repairs, engravings, pearl restringing, remounting rings to creating bespoke pieces. Our Service Department welcomes clients seeking advice, repairs or specialist care for watches and jewellery. No appointment is required and our team will be pleased to assist you upon arrival.
Pieces may be booked in at our Service Department located on the lower ground floor of our Grafton Street store, or left with our Dundrum team for secure transfer.
If visiting the store is not convenient, our Service Department can be contacted directly at service1@weirandsons.ie.

[H4] Important Terms of Service & Repair

All items must be covered by the customer’s own insurance while in our care, as they are not insured by Weir & Sons.
Items may be sent to an external agency or abroad for repair or assessment, without further authority from the customer.
We may photograph items on booking in for repairs. Images may be used for showcasing craftsmanship without customer details.
Quoted return dates are approximate. Weir & Sons is not liable for delays.
Differences may arise between the original finish and post-repair appearance.
Descriptions such as gold, silver, pearl or diamond are indicative only and based on visual inspection.

No watch is guaranteed to remain water-resistant after repair unless stated.
Only work carried out is guaranteed.
Standard watch overhauls and most repairs carry a 12-month warranty.
Warranty excludes accidental damage or misuse.

Initial charges are based on visual inspection and may change following assessment.
Please review receipts at booking and collection.

All items must be inspected upon collection.
Unreported visible defects are deemed accepted.

Repairs or valuations may not be cancelled without agreement.
Customers may be liable for labour and material costs incurred.

[H4] Terms of Acceptance

Articles must be covered by the terms of the Customer’s own insurance policy when in our care as they are not covered by the insurance of ‘Weir & Sons’.

Articles may be sent to an external agency and/ or abroad for repair or estimate. This may be undertaken without further authority from the customer.

We take pictures of all items on booking in for repairs, we also may use repairs on social media we will not use customer details when showcasing before and after pictures.

Dates quoted for return of articles are approximate only and ‘Weir & Sons’ shall not be liable for any loss due to delay, howsoever caused.

Differences may arise between the original specifications and/ or finish of an article and in the aftermath of a repair - viz unavoidable marks may be rendered to the case of a watch in circumstances where pressure must be applied to open the watch. Any parts supplied during a repair are done so on an exchange basis - old/used parts are not returned.

The description of any article is based on a visual inspection only. Terms such as: ‘silver’, ‘gold’, ‘pearl’, ‘diamond’, ‘Rolex’... etc. May be used in a descriptive manner only and does not necessarily indicate the actual quality of an item.

No watch is guaranteed to be water resistant after examination or repair unless specifically stated to be so.

We can only guarantee actual work carried out. In the event of any part-job repair, only said repair will carry a warranty.

Watch overhauls and most part-jobs carry a limited 12 month warranty. However some repairs may have a shorter warranty (e.g. pearl restringing: 6 months). All warranties exclude accidental damage and damage due to misuse. All warranties are effective from the date of job completion.

The ‘charge’ is based on an initial examination only and is subject to revision after further examination.

The customer is advised to check, prior to leaving the store (i) the receipt issued to them upon leaving an article and (ii) the same upon collection, as any mistakes cannot be subsequently rectified. Articles shall be inspected at the time of collection and unless the customer notifies ‘Weir & Sons’ of any defect which would be apparent from a reasonable inspection, articles shall be deemed to be free of such defects.

No order for repair/valuation may be cancelled except with the agreement of ‘Weir & Sons’ and on the terms that the customer shall indemnify ‘Weir & Sons’ in full against all loss (including loss of profits), costs (including the cost of all labour and materials used) and expenses incurred by ‘Weir & Sons’ as a result of cancellation.

TUDOR watches purchased via our website may only be shipped within the Republic of Ireland. Unfortunately, we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. Orders for recipients outside of the Republic of Ireland are subject to delays due to territorial / border control restrictions during some periods of the year. Weir & Sons have no control over these delays and would recommend customers check local information for restrictions to imports and deliveries.

We endeavour to dispatch all orders within three working days. Complimentary shipping within Ireland is available on orders over €50 and international free shipping is available on orders of €100 or more with registered post An Post), delivery fees will be added according to the area of delivery, as described below:

Orders are processed Mon-Fri (excluding holidays). You will receive an email confirming that your order has been shipped along with the tracking link. In any case, we aim to deliver all orders within 30 days of sending the confirmation order. Engraving delivery times, please allow an additional 3 working days (in addition to the standard delivery and collection timeframe) for your engraved order to be completed.
Orders are shipped by registered post to the delivery address provided by you, as stated in the Order Confirmation. When you have ordered more than one item, we may make delivery in one or more instalments.
The above prices do not apply to items needing to be sent by courier. If an item requires the use of a courier, we will quote for the cost of courier and this will be added to the order once it has been agreed with the customer
We recommend you inspect your package for damage or tampering before signing and accepting it. If there are any discrepancies between what you ordered and what you received, we kindly ask you to refuse to receive it
We aim to prepare and dispatch your order as soon as possible once it has been placed. Because of this we are unable to make any changes to the items ordered, shipping methods or shipping addresses once an order has been placed with us.
[H3] Taxes, Duties & Additional Charges

Our orders are shipped from Ireland who is part of the European Union then:
Customers in the EU

Customers with shipping addresses inside the EU will pay VAT at the point of purchase (this is included in all listed prices online).
Customers with shipping addresses inside the EU will not be subject to import duties upon delivery of orders.

Customer outside the EU (Tax Free shopping)

Customers with shipping addresses outside the EU will not pay VAT at the point of purchase online. All prices listed online are inclusive of VAT - this will automatically deduct at the checkout.
Customers with shipping addresses outside of the EU may be liable for import taxes and duties. This is beyond Weir & Son's control and duties vary from one country to the next. We suggest you contact your local customs office as they can better advise on potential charges that may be incurred. You will not be charged Tax when shopping online with us
[H3] Delivery Support & Enquiries

We will use reasonable efforts to meet any delivery date, but it should be understood that they are estimates and we are not liable (in contract, negligence or otherwise) for any loss or damage resulting from them not being met. If our order is delayed or there are any discrepancies between what you ordered and what you received, we kindly ask you to contact us immediately via e-mail or phone. Weir & Sons undertakes to return any incorrect or non-compliant products in accordance with our exchange and returns policy and current legislation.
As a consumer, you have legal rights to any products that are not delivered within 30-day period after your order confirmation. We will not be responsible for any breach or delay of any of the obligations assumed by us under an order whose cause is due to events that are beyond our control (acts of God) in Ireland and/or elsewhere. The concept of act of God must include any act, event, failure to action, omission or accident that is beyond our control, including, among others, the following:

General strike, or other forms of protest that significantly affect the country.
Public order disturbances, revolt, invasion, terrorist attack, war (declared or not) or threat or preparation for war.
Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, landslide, epidemic or any other natural disaster.
Impossibility of using trains, boats, aircraft, motor transport or other means of transport, public or private.
Inability to use public or private telecommunications systems.
Officially recognized pandemic situations.
Epidemics, pandemics or similar health situations

Our obligations arising from contracts will be considered to be suspended during the period in which the act of God reasons occur and we will benefit from an extension of the period to fulfil such obligations, for a period equal to the duration act of God reasons.
