[H1] Safely driving an autonomous future.
Our purpose-built, AI-powered ground autonomy solution enables reliable and efficient driverless movement in a wide variety of environments.
[H2] Why autonomy?
[H3] Safer roads
Driving is dangerous. More than 85% of truck crashes in the U.S. were caused by human error. From 2021 to 2023, large truck crashes led to more than 15,000 deaths in the U.S. We believe that’s unacceptable. That’s why we’ve dedicated ourselves to finding a better way forward, harnessing Kodiak’s autonomous technology in our pursuit to build the world’s safest driver.

[H2] At Kodiak AI, it’s safety first—and always.
Safety is the foundation of everything we build. It’s not an afterthought—it’s the driving force behind what we do and why we do it. We validate our technology through a disciplined combination of on-road testing, simulation, and structured analysis. This process spans millions of autonomous and simulated miles, helping us understand how the Kodiak Driver performs across a wide range of real and edge-case scenarios.01
[H3] Culture & Safety Management System
Safety is the core value at Kodiak AI, embedded into how we design technology, operate vehicles, and make decisions across the company. Our Safety Management System (SMS) supports this mindset with a structured, four-pillar framework that integrates safety principles, processes, and practices throughout our operations.02
[H3] Engineered to Drive Safely
From the ground up, the Kodiak Driver is designed for safety. Through extensive design, analysis, verification, and validation, our vehicles are built to operate safely in normal conditions as well as when faults arise.03
[H3] Manufacturing & Quality
Safety starts long before any vehicle is on the road. Our quality management system is designed to touch every part of the manufacturing process, from suppliers all the way to control processes for uplift and the commissioning of vehicles.04
[H3] Operationally Safe
From driver hiring and training to human-machine interface and regulatory compliance, we are focused on following safety best-practices at every step. Our 24/7 monitoring ensures all operations run smoothly, be it inspections, maintenance, or our incident response processes.05
[H3] Vigilant on Cybersecurity
Protecting Kodiak AI’s self-driving system from hackers and other bad actors is critical. We do this by minimizing the number of data entry points, isolating safety-critical functions from external communications ports, and securing both on- and off-vehicle infrastructure with end-to-end encryption.06
[H3] Field Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
No matter how fast we meet milestones, or by how far we exceed requirements, we’re always taking concrete steps to get even better. Daily software releases are tested in simulation as well as in structured on-road tests, allowing us to frequently assess risk and immediately take any corrective action needed.
[H2] Autonomous solutions that get the job done.

Your Diagnosis

Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.

Information Density 0 / 30
Read the Narrative & headings: do hard facts (prices, dates, numbers) outweigh fluff power-words?
Semantic Coherence 0 / 20
Compare the homepage promise against the sub-page reality. Do they hold the same line?
Trust & Proof 0 / 20
Weigh review mentions against actual external proof links. Claims without verification = theatre.
Commodity Fingerprint 0 / 15
Check headings & narrative against the industry clichés in the setup above.
Identity & Authority 0 / 15
Inspect the schema: is there real Organization/Person identity with sameAs links, or gaps?
Your predicted BS score 0 / 100
💡 Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)

These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.

Information Density

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Semantic Alignment

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Trust & Proof

Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.

Commodity Fingerprint

Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.

Identity & Authority

Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.

Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Logistics, Transport & Shipping BS: Kodiak AI, Inc. (kodiak.ai)

https://kodiak.ai 📍 Industry: Logistics, Transport & Shipping
20 BS / 100

Kodiak AI is a high-substance technical entity with a low BS score. It successfully backs its ‘disruptive’ claims with specific engineering details and legitimate industry pedigrees. The only notable fluff resides in its unverified review metrics and standard industry superlatives.

Link the internal review counts to a verifiable third-party platform to eliminate the trust theatre flag. Replace unverifiable superlatives like ‘world’s safest’ with current safety performance data or safety protocol certifications. Expand the ‘Industrial’ and ‘Defense’ sub-pages to match the technical depth of the ‘Trucking’ section. Ensure Person schema is added to the leadership bios to maximize authority signals.

The site aligns perfectly with the Autonomous Transport and AI sub-sector of the logistics industry. Content focuses on driverless freight movement, modular hardware for trucking fleets, and strategic partnerships with established logistics players like Roehl Transport.

“The score of 20 is driven primarily by minor trust theatre (unlinked review counts) and the use of industry-standard superlatives. It is one of the lowest scores possible for a company in the 'pre-adoption' phase of a new technology, due to high specificity and founder authority.”
