Herceptin is administered as an intravenous infusion in a clinical setting. It is typically given once every three weeks, although this may vary. Your healthcare provider will determine the right dosing schedule based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Serious adverse reactions include cardiomyopathy, infusion reactions, pulmonary toxicity, embryo-fetal toxicity, cardiac monitoring, infusion reactions, embryo-fetal toxicity, pulmonary toxicity, and exacerbation of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia. Most common adverse reactions were fever, nausea, vomiting, infusion reactions, diarrhea, infections, increased cough, headache, fatigue, dyspnea, rash, neutropenia, anemia, myalgia, upper respiratory tract infections, thrombocytopenia, nasopharyngitis, and dysgeusia. If it has not spread into the lymph nodes, the cancer needs to be estrogen receptor / progesterone receptor (ER/PR)-negative or have one high-risk feature.* Herceptin can be used in several different ways: As part of a treatment course including the chemotherapy drugs doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, and either paclitaxel or docetaxel. This treatment course is known as “AC➝TH” With the chemotherapy drugs docetaxel and carboplatin. This treatment course is known as “TCH” Alone after treatment with multiple other therapies, including an anthracycline (doxorubicin) based therapy (a type of chemotherapy) Patients are selected for therapy based on an FDA-approved test for Herceptin. *High risk is defined as ER/PR-positive with one of the following features: tumor size >2 cm, age <35 years, or tumor grade 2 or 3. HERCEPTIN is given by intravenous (IV) infusion, on a weekly or once-every-three-weeks schedule. Your healthcare provider will determine a personalized treatment plan for you. Learn the details about preparing for treatment and the treatment schedule. The most common side effects include fever, chills, headache, and nausea. HERCEPTIN can also cause serious side effects, such as heart problems, infusion reactions, and lung complications. Patients should have regular checks of their heart function during treatment. Explore safety information and understand potential risks. Reach out to your healthcare provider to determine if HERCEPTIN is the right option for you and to discuss available financial assistance options to support your treatment. [H1] Uses & Important Safety Information for HERCEPTIN and HERCEPTIN HYLECTA (trastuzumab and hyaluronidase-oysk) Back to Top [H3] Herceptin: Indications [H3] Adjuvant Breast Cancer Herceptin is approved for the treatment of adults with early-stage breast cancer that is Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor 2-positive (HER2+) and has spread into the lymph nodes, or is HER2-positive and has not spread into the lymph nodes. [H3] Metastatic Breast Cancer Herceptin has 2 approved uses in adults with metastatic breast cancer: Herceptin in combination with the chemotherapy drug paclitaxel is approved for the first line treatment of Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor 2-positive (HER2+) metastatic breast cancer Herceptin alone is approved for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer in patients who have received one or more chemotherapy courses for metastatic disease Patients are selected for therapy based on an FDA-approved test for Herceptin. [H3] Gastric Cancer Herceptin is approved in adults, in combination with chemotherapy (cisplatin and either capecitabine or 5-fluorouracil), for the treatment of HER2-positive metastatic cancer of the stomach or gastroesophageal junction (where the esophagus meets the stomach) in patients who have not received prior treatment for their metastatic disease. Patients are selected for therapy based on an FDA-approved test for Herceptin. [H3] Herceptin HYLECTA: What it treats [H3] Adjuvant Breast Cancer HERCEPTIN HYLECTA (trastuzumab and hyaluronidase-oysk) is approved for the treatment of adults with early-stage breast cancer that is Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor 2-positive (HER2+) and has spread into the lymph nodes, or is HER2-positive and has not spread into the lymph nodes. If it has not spread into the lymph nodes, the cancer needs to be estrogen receptor / progesterone receptor (ER/PR)-negative or have one high-risk feature.* HERCEPTIN HYLECTA can be used in several different ways: As part of a treatment course including the chemotherapy drugs doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, and either paclitaxel or docetaxel. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 784 businesses audited.
Genentech has 32.7 points less BS than the average for Medical Devices, Pharma & Biotech.
Medical Devices, Pharma & Biotech BS: Genentech (herceptin.com)
This site is a rare example of a 0% fluff marketing environment. It prioritizes the clinical and regulatory reality of the medicine over brand-building air, resulting in a nearly non-existent BS score.
Refresh clinical citations to post-2023 versions where available to eliminate stale-date penalties. Reduce the repetitive use of the Journey brand metaphor in H1 tags to improve heading substance. Implement Person schema for medical reviewers of the patient-facing content to bridge the minor authority footprint gap. Ensure all external links to FDA and NEJM PDFs are current and not 404-prone.
The website perfectly aligns with the Pharma & Biotech category. It serves as a regulatory-compliant product portal for Herceptin (trastuzumab), focusing heavily on indications, safety data, and clinical trial references.
“The score was primarily driven by minor commodity fingerprint cliches (the 'Journey' branding) and concept repetition necessitated by ISI requirements. The Trust and Proof pillar received a negligible penalty for stale 2019 citations, while Information Density and Semantic Coherence scored near-perfectly due to extreme clinical specificity.”
