Meet the teamThe Duchy employs more than 200 people, from conservation experts and foresters to community developers and archivists.Our team work across eight offices in London, Bath, Dartmoor, Hereford, Poundbury, Nansledan, Restormel and The Isles of Scilly, as well as in the Duchy's own businesses – the Duchy Nursery and the Duchy Holiday Cottages. The Duchy is run by the Prince's Council, which HRH Prince William chairs. The Council govern the Duchy's activities and work closely with committees to ensure that we are delivering the best impact and value for our communities and the planet.

HRH Prince William makes many private visits throughout the year.PerformanceWe set ourselves ambitious targets to make sure that we are delivering positive change and meaningful impact for the members of our communities and the land we care for.Each year we produce a publicly accessible integrated impact report, containing details of our activities, reflections, successes and impact.HM Treasury also plays an important role in the oversight of the Duchy's finances, activities and approving substantial property transactions. We work in partnership with local communities and collaborators, taking a long‑term, collaborative approach, where the focus is on strengthening nature, deepening connection, and creating places where both people and the environment can thrive.Our nature-rich planOur nature‑rich plan marks a renewed commitment: to create an estate where biodiversity thrives, water and air are clean, soils are healthy, and people benefit from nature without depleting it. Guided by national policy and shaped through collaboration with government as part of Defra’s National Estate for Nature group, the Duchy is re‑committing to playing its part in restoring nature at scale and for the long term.
