Hedley has worked in IT for over 25 years. Starting his career back in the days of dial-up when websites loaded line-by-line before moving to London to work for a web design & hosting company in Bow in East London.
Other roles have included working for the BBC on their Bitesize website, creating interactive touch based front end displays for Mobile Phone EPOS terminals for Hutchison 3G, building interactive Maths Flash games for the Cambridge University NRICH Project and various server and hardware support roles including Zonal EPOS terminals (if you’ve been in a pub in Edinburgh, you’ve seen their tills).

Set in the pretty Kailzie Gardens just outside Peebles, The Restaurant & The Larder’s home is a charming 19th century stable and adjoining courtyard. The owners, Amanda & Stuart took over the running of the business in March 2010 and since then it has gone from strength to strength.

This site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. Should you choose to contact us using a contact form on our Contact us page or via an email link, none of the data that you supply will be stored by this website or passed to / be processed by any of the Third Party Data Processors. When you call us, we collect Calling Line Identification (CLI) information. We use this information to help improve its efficiency and effectiveness.

If you choose to sign up for our email newsletter, the details that you submit to us will be forwarded to MailChimp who provide us with email marketing services. We consider MailChimp to be a Third Party Data Processor. The details that you submit will not be stored within this website’s own database or in any of our internal computer systems. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies including clear gifs to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.
Your email address will remain within MailChimp’s database for as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services for email marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can do this by unsubscribing using the unsubscribe links contained in any and all email newsletters that we send you or by requesting removal via email or our contact form. When requesting removal via email, please send your email to us using the email account that is subscribed to the mailing list.
