?????????????? ??? ?? ??????It`s International Day of Light and for this day we wanted to show one of our favourite images taken by the JWST recently.A spiral galaxy (M77) shown in mid-infrared light. The image is dominated by an extremely bright glow from the galaxy’s nucleus. Six large and two smaller rays of light emit from the centre, which are diffraction spikes created by the telescope’s optics. The galaxy’s spiral arms are visible by two lines of glowing orange bubbles which whirl out into the disc. Swirling blue clouds of dust make up the rest of the galaxy.✨Stunning✨ ?

‼ISS ALERT‼The International Space Station is visible numerous times over the next few days (and has been in our sky frequently since 30th April). The only thing with a majority of the passes, is that they`re happening in the very early hours of the morning when we`re all still in bed. But tonight, you might be able to catch a glimpse of it before midnight! So keep your eyes peeled ??23:04 - 23:08 (11:04pm-11:08pm)?SSW - SE (South-southwest to South East)?Starting low on the horizon and climbing higher

☄?????? ?????? ?????☄The Eta Aquariids Meteor Shower will reach its peak after midnight tonight. The peak will end around dawn, but don`t forget this particular meteor shower is active until the end of the month! Plenty of chances to glimpse a meteor. The Eta Aquariids will appear lower on the horizon, and they are linked to the most famous comet of the all, Comet Halley, which will not be visible in our skies again until 2061. We`ll have to wait patiently for its return.

SUB-PAGE (http://armagh.space/education/outreach/) Outreach – Armagh Observatory and Planetarium
[H1] Outreach
Home > Schools > OutreachHere at Armagh Observatory & Planetarium, we are passionate about science education for all and we want you to be able to experience the magic of the universe wherever you are.We cater for schools, summer schools, festivals, and more, and have travelled to many locations across the island of Ireland. Session times can be tailored to your specifications with content for a wide range of ages; we are experienced in delivering an out-of-this-world outreach experience for anyone.
[H3] OUR PORTABLE DOME
Our most popular outreach activity is the portable planetarium dome with which we can deliver shows: either a live interactive tour of the night sky and the planets, or a full-dome astronomy-themed video – or even a mixture of the two. Each dome session usually last 45 minutes, but they can range from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the schedule. The portable planetarium dome is very large, so an ideal location for it is a large quiet interior area such as a gym or an assembly hall, with 25ft x 25ft (7.6m x 7.6m) of floor space available and a ceiling at least 13ft (4.0 m) in height – and a power socket nearby. Step-free access is required due to the weight of the equipment. The dome can fit up to 30 pupils/students at once, or 25 people for a mixed group with adults. We can adjust our program depending on the audience size, but we generally offer a half-day visit (e.g., 09:00-12:00) or a full-day visit (e.g., 09:00-16:00). We can discuss the exact format and pricing with you depending on your needs.
[H3] OTHER SCIENCE OFFERINGS
We can offer interactive science/space-related talks and activities to complement the dome shows. The pricing here is more variable: if the activities have be scheduled in parallel with the dome shows, for instance, then we need to recruit another member of our staff. They may include a rocket-making workshop, a workshop about the nature of light including an infrared camera, a talk about space rocks (featuring real meteorite samples), and more. You can choose which activities you would like to see with our outreach visit, as well as how interactive they are. We can also offer the interactive talks and activities on their own. Please contact us to discuss these options. In addition to the above, we also offer standalone science talks on a topic of your choosing. For example, a presentation about comets has been a favourite, but we can also accompany you on an observing night and discuss what to see in the night sky, or how best to use your telescopes.

Your Diagnosis

Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.

Information Density 0 / 30
Read the Narrative & headings: do hard facts (prices, dates, numbers) outweigh fluff power-words?
Semantic Coherence 0 / 20
Compare the homepage promise against the sub-page reality. Do they hold the same line?
Trust & Proof 0 / 20
Weigh review mentions against actual external proof links. Claims without verification = theatre.
Commodity Fingerprint 0 / 15
Check headings & narrative against the industry clichés in the setup above.
Identity & Authority 0 / 15
Inspect the schema: is there real Organization/Person identity with sameAs links, or gaps?
Your predicted BS score 0 / 100
💡 Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)

These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.

Information Density

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Semantic Alignment

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Trust & Proof

Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.

Commodity Fingerprint

Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.

Identity & Authority

Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.

Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

This is a rare example of a site where the substance actually outweighs the marketing signal. It leverages 200 years of astronomical heritage to provide specific, high-utility content rather than relying on the generic ‘experience the extraordinary’ cliches typical of the sector. It is a high-substance, low-bullshit authority site.

To achieve a near-zero score, replace the generic ‘Corporate’ H1 on the homepage with a heading that cites specific venue capacity or facilities. Implement Organization schema on the homepage to mirror the excellent Event schema used on sub-pages. Link the internal review count to a verifiable third-party platform like TripAdvisor or Google Reviews. Add a ‘Team’ or ‘Researchers’ page that connects named staff to their digital footprints or academic ORCID profiles.

The site is an exact match for the Arts, Culture & Entertainment category, specifically within the scientific education and heritage niche. Its content focus on astronomical research, dome shows, and historical archive exploration aligns perfectly with the provided industry patterns.

“The score of 12 is driven by minor technical omissions (null homepage schema) and standard template repetition. The Information Density and Semantic Coherence pillars scored nearly perfect due to the abundance of specific data points like pricing, dimensions, and dated scientific logs.”
