[H3] Can I transfer presets from BIAS FX 2 to BIAS X?

Presets from BIAS FX 2 are not directly transferable into BIAS X due to the new engine architecture and feature set. However, you can still use both side by side. If you have a preset in BIAS FX 2 you love, export a short audio clip of it and upload it to Audio to Preset in BIAS X—letting the AI rebuild that tone instantly using the new engine. This approach offers higher fidelity than preset import and better utilizes the new AI engine.

[H3] Can I use my BIAS FX 2 expansion packs (e.g., Hendrix pack) in BIAS X?

Currently, BIAS X does not support expansion packs from BIAS FX 2, including the Hendrix pack. BIAS X introduces a redesigned sound engine and gear ecosystem, which may not be compatible with legacy content from FX2. Please stay tuned for future updates regarding compatibility.

Yes. BIAS X runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1, M2).

Yes, you can run BIAS X without a DAW—perfect for practice, live use, or building tones quickly.

BIAS X is designed exclusively for desktop use and is compatible with macOS and Windows operating systems. It runs as a 64-bit VST3, AU, or AAX plugin, or as a standalone application. Mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Android phones or tablets are not supported.

[H3] Can I use it with bass or acoustic guitars?

Yes. BIAS X is optimized for electric guitar but works well with bass and acoustic instruments too, thanks to its flexible gear and tone shaping options.

[H3] Do I need to know a lot about gear to use BIAS X?

No—but if you do, you’ll love what’s under the hood. BIAS X is built for flexibility at every level: you can get great tones fast using AI tools, or take full manual control to fine-tune every detail. Yes—for first-time activation and to use AI features like Text-to-Tone and Music-to-Tone. Once activated, BIAS X can run offline for regular use.

[H3] I already own a BIAS product. Can I upgrade to BIAS X at a discount?
