She was an honours graduate of DIT in Vis com. A regular contributor to the Irish Times, her work was much in demand in the cut-throat world of advertising where she was widely regarded as one of the top illustrators in the country particularly in the notoriously difficult area of equine art. Ann has designed a number of postage stamps for An Post. She created the winning designs for the 1988 Irish Olympic stamps. They later went on to win the overall Prix Olympia Gold Medal awarded by the International Olympic Committee surpassing all countries who issued stamps for the games that year. [IMG: Arthur Maderson] [H3] Arthur Maderson London born Irish based Impressionist painter studied at Camberwell School of Art. He moved to Ireland in the early 80's. Madderson won the Royal Hibernian Academy Abbey Stained Glass Studio Award in 1993. He is also a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy in London. He lives between Waterford and the South of France. [IMG: Brian Ballard] [H3] Brian Ballard Born in Belfast in 1943 he studied at the College of Art in Belfast and in LIverpool. His contemporary approach to painting alternates between figurative treatment of nudes, landscape and expressionist still life all of which he practices in equal measure of intensity. His work can be found in the Arts Council, AIB, Crawford Municipal Cork, Ulster Museum, The National Trust and U2. He lives between Donegal and Belfast. [IMG: James Cahill] [H3] James Cahill James Cahill studied at the Crawford College of Art, Cork and Putney School of Art, London. Recently Cahill was awarded the Silver Medal for best work by non-member by the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts, for his painting Interior. [IMG: Carolyn Mullholland] [H3] Carolyn Mullholland Carolyn Mullholland was born in Lurgan, Co. Armagh in 1944. She studied at The Belfast College of Art. Commissions include the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, New Ireland Assurance, Jefferson Smurfit Group, Irish Life, Sir. Chester Beatty, Chester Beatty Library, President Mary Robinson, OPW., Famine Memorial Graveyard, CLones. Man and Kite Customs House, Dublin. Carolyn won the Irish-American Cultural Institute's O'Malley Award. [IMG: Graham Knuttel] [H3] Graham Knuttel "When I was eighteen, I started at art school. I had always had an interest in figurative work, in the portrayal of the human condition, and from an early age I was familiar with the work of Van Gogh, Cezanne and Picasso. In art school I was attracted to the life drawing room where I determined to develop my skills as a figurative painter. I found myself to be an intuitive painter. I had little patience for the intellectual processes and conclusions involved with abstract and conceptual art. For me, to paint what I saw or felt or imagined around me should be a simple affair, painted from the gut." -- Graham Knuttel Graham Knuttel's bold use of colour and form and the narrative tensions which wind their way through all his work, make him a true story teller. Knuttel's works are instantly recognizable, making him one of Ireland's most popular and collectable living artists of our time. [IMG: John Morris] [H3] John Morris John Morris was born in Dublin in 1958 and is mainly self taught. "I love the Irish landscape, the effects of light, shadows, atmosphere, I make quick sketches in pencil, charcoal or oil. These sketches, along with photographs make up a visual diary which I use as reference material for my paintings. Paintings are sometimes finished in one session, other times it may take two or even three sessions to finish. [IMG: Kenneth Webb] [H3] Kenneth Webb Kenneth Webb born in London 1917. won a scholarship to The Slade and exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1949. In 1953 he moved to Belfast and was appointed Head of the Painting School at the Ulster College of Art where his part-time assistants included Tom Carr, John Luke and Colin Middleton. He exhibited with The Arts Council of Northern Ireland and founded the Irish School of Landscape Paintings and was elected to The Royal Society of Arts. He opened a studio in the seventies in Connemara exhibiting regularly with Kenny's in Galway. Connemara is a huge influence in his work particularly his garden where colour and nature has inspired many of his paintings. [IMG: John Kirwan] [H3] John Kirwan He was born in Dublin in 1956. He graduated from Dun Laoghaire School of Art in 1978 and has exhibited extensively all over Ireland. In 2011 and 2014 he had one man shows in the Leinster Gallery, Dublin. His technique could be described as self-effacing in the sense that it is always subordinate to the image. The naturalism of his method extends to his palette, which is generally accurate and subdued. There is certainly colour in his work but, as with real life, his pictures are predominantly tonal. He sets out to capture faithfully the watery grey light characteristic of Ireland and almost everything happens in the play of tones. [IMG: Gladys Maccabe] [H3] Gladys Maccabe Gladys Maccabe was born in 1918, in Randalstown, Co. Antrim. She studied at Belfast College of Art and in 1941 she married fellow artist and musician, the late Max Maccabe.Gladys Maccabe was a fashion and arts correspondent in the 1960s, working for both newspapers and television. Examples of her work are in The Ulster Museum, The Royal Ulster Academy, The Arts Council of Ireland Collection, The Imperial War Museum and many other permanent collections [IMG: Mark O] [H3] Mark O'Neill Born to Irish parents in 1963 in Lancashire, it was due to his father’s position that O’Neill had a nomadic childhood travelling to South Africa, Mauritius, Nigeria and Malta. His father was also an amateur painter of considerable skill and deftness, specialising in still life paintings, and encouraging him as a child [IMG: Mat Grogan] [H3] Mat Grogan Matt Grogan was born in Duiblin in 1947. Matt's early career was in advertising and in the mid eighties while living in Australia he started painting. His paintings are informed by the works of Chardin and Vermeer but veering towards Impressionism. His work is represented in private collections in the USA, Hong Kong, Australia, Britain and Ireland. [IMG: Martin Mooney] [H3] Martin Mooney Martin Mooney was born in 1960 in Belfast. He studied his Bachelors in Fine Art at Brighton Polytechnic College of Art and Design before attending the prestigious Slade School of Art at Post Graduate level. He graduated from the Slade School in 1985. While attending the Slade School his style was somewhat at odds with the dominant emphasis on video, installation and conceptual art in the school at the time. Despite this he has been respected and complimented by critics and buyers since he first started exhibiting in 1980, for his high technical ability and virtuosity in painting. As early as 1990, he attracted the attention of Brian Sewell, a high profile art critic who wrote for Mooney's solo exhibition at The Solomon Gallery Dublin, that he is a 'fine painter with a natural intelligence.' [IMG: Markey Robinson] [H3] Markey Robinson Markey Robinson (1918-1999) Born in Belfast and studied at Belfast College of Art for a short time but is mainly self taught. He travelled extensively and had numerous one man shows at The Oriel Gallery, between 1976 and 1999. Markey like Paul Henry captured the mood and atmosphere of the West of Ireland. [H3] John Kirwan "Seascapes, East and West" "Seascapes, East & West" John Kirwan's Exhibition "Seascapes, East and West" an exhibition of new works will open on Tuesday 26th May, 2026 with Marty Whelan guest speaker. Paintings may be reserved prior to the opening. He was born in Dublin in 1956. He graduated from Dun Laoghaire School of Art in 1978 and has exhibited extensively all over Ireland. He feels less of a need to incorporate anecdotal details, and is, as he puts it, freer to get into just the thing itself the dynamics of the landscape. Something that he does extremely well. [H3] Call Of The Running Tide by Brenda Malley CALL OF THE RUNNING TIDE An exhibition of new works opening 7th October until the 18th October. Paintings may be reserved from the 6th October, 2025. Brenda Malley Brenda Malley’s career as a professional artist spans over 30 years while living in the USA, France and now at home in Greystones, County Wicklow, Ireland. Brenda’s seascape paintings are characterised by the energy and fluidity of her palette knife work, and by the surface richness of colour and texture through which she expresses her subject. Whether immersed in the raw environment of the Wild Atlantic seaboard, or capturing the light and colour of daybreak over the Irish Sea, the artist brings to life in her paintings the movement, energy and flow of the natural elements Solo Exhibitions 2025 - Trinity Gallery, Dublin: Call of the Running Tide 2015 - Le Cannet, France, Terrasse des Arts 2010 - Boston USA, Irish Cultural Centre and Irish Consulate 2009 - Origin Gallery, Dublin 2008 - Leinster Gallery, Dublin: Seasons of the Sea Selected Group Exhibitions 2006 - 2025 - Trinity Gallery Dublin (formerly the Leinster Gallery) 2010 - 2025 - Whitethorn Gallery, Clifden, County Galway 2004 - 2025 - Dublin Painting and Sketching Club 2019 - Artform, Waterford 2015 - Espace Culturel, Théoule sur Mer, France Awards / Media Features 2025 - Gloss Magazine / Sunday Business Post 2018 - Painting purchased by Irish Government Office of Public Works 2018 - RTE Nationwide 14/02/2018 2014 - France TV3 Feature - MIDI en France 2010 - Culture Ireland award for solo exhibition in Boston, USA 2009 - 2010 - Cill Rialaig residencies County Kerry 2007 - RTE 1 Afternoon Show Click on an image below for details. 🔗 Identity & Technical Layer — schema JSON-LD: identity chains, entity gaps (Identity & Authority)
Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Arts, Culture & Entertainment BS: The Trinity Gallery (www.trinitygallery.ie)
This is a rare example of a ‘Substance-First’ website. It eschews all contemporary marketing jargon in favor of a functional, transparent inventory for collectors and researchers.
Implement Organization schema to define the entity and Person schema for each artist profile to bridge the technical authority gap. Add H1 headings to every page, using the artist name or exhibition title to resolve the current structural deficiency. Link the mentions of ‘Arts Council’ and ‘National Museum’ to external authority sites to create a verified proof path. Standardize meta descriptions across all exhibition pages to improve the professional technical footprint.
The site is a perfect match for the Arts and Culture category, functioning as a commercial fine art gallery. The content focuses exclusively on artist rosters, exhibition schedules, and inventory pricing rather than generic lifestyle marketing.
“The score of 11 is driven almost entirely by technical implementation gaps (Identity and Authority) rather than content bullshit. The site ranks near zero for fluff, clichés, and semantic drift, providing a high-trust experience through radical price and credential transparency.”
This training module utilizes a snapshot of public data from The Trinity Gallery, captured on May 19, 2026, to demonstrate how machine logic evaluates different types of business narratives.
Purpose: This data is presented under “Fair Use” / “Educational Exception” for the purpose of forensic semantic analysis, allowing users to compare human intuition against machine-generated evaluations.
Notice to The Trinity Gallery: This analysis is part of a non-adversarial audit conducted by 1 Euro SEO. The results provided by 1EuroSEO are intended as professional feedback to help improve any website’s machine-readability and authority signals. The 1EuroSEO BS Detection Tool is a free tool, and anyone can test any company to see how their content is interpreted by AI models.
Any company can use the insights for free and improve its voice by comparing it to industry clichés or competitors. When a company has updated its content, it can always submit a new audit request, which will be reflected in a new current score.
