Home ASCP Podcasts [H1] ASCP Podcasts [H2] ASCP Esty Talk Podcast Produced by Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP), ASCP Esty Talk and The Rogue Pharmacist is specifically created for estheticians. Where no topic is off limits, we share all kinds of great information on this podcast from ingredients and the science of the skin, to business, and beauty diversity. We hope you come away having learned more about your career, the industry, and maybe even life in general! Think of our show as a conversation between friends—not too structured, not too formal—sometimes very serious, but always genuine and authentic. START LISTENING HERE: Apple Podcast | Spotify | and more With allergy season in full swing, Ben discusses how histamine, mast cells, and allergic responses impact the skin beyond sinus symptoms. Maggie and Ella discuss how wellness is splitting in two directions: hyper-optimization and a return to nervous system care. Right now, it feels like there’s more pressure than ever for skin care to be proven. But what the proof actually means isn’t always clear. In this episode of The Rogue Pharmacist, Ben discusses Melanotan II, often referred to online as the “Barbie Drug,” and its rise within biohacking and social media culture. Summer brings sunshine, ballparks, and hot dogs. But in the treatment room, it often brings a noticeable shift in business rhythm. “Favorite Things” is back! In this episode of ASCP Esty Talk, Ella and Maggie share the treatment-room staples they’re currently loving. SPF looks like a simple number on a bottle, but it’s actually based on specific lab testing conditions that don’t always translate to real-world use. Maggie and Ella are joined by guest Claudia Wyatt, an “enthusiasm igniter” and “self-doubt eraser”, to explore what it means to lead the appointment, elevate client interactions, and take ownership of the treatment room experience. For the first time since 1999, the US is seeing a new active ingredient approved, BEMT (Bemotrizinol), signaling an important shift in how sunscreens are formulated. Ben Fuchs breaks down the science behind age-related changes in skin scent, including the roles of the microbiome, lipid oxidation, barrier changes, and senescent cells. In this episode of ASCP Esty Talk, Maggie and Ella explore NAD+, its role in skin energy and repair, and how niacinamide supports NAD+ production, connecting cellular function to visible skin health. Japanese skin care is often associated with minimalism, ritual, and a skin-first philosophy. But what’s commonly marketed today is often a simplified Western interpretation of a much deeper cultural approach. Urea is one of the most misunderstood ingredients in skin care. Is it a hydrator, an exfoliant, or both? Beauty consumer behavior is shifting in 2026. Maggie and Ella break down what these changes mean for client behavior, retail strategy, and growing your practice. In this episode of ASCP Esty Talk, Laura Puryear, ASCP’s government relations director, breaks down what the compacts are, how they impact estheticians, and why advocacy for your career. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 … next › last »

Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 1453 businesses audited.
Beauty, Cosmetics & Personal Care BS: Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP) (ascpskincare.com)
ASCP is a benchmark for high-substance B2B service sites. It provides exactly what it promises—insurance, education, and community—with granular detail and zero reliance on ‘magic’ skincare claims or anonymous accolades.
To achieve a near-zero score, explicitly name the insurance carrier/underwriter providing the $6 million coverage to add third-party financial weight. Include a searchable member directory to verify the 40,000 member claim. Cite specific industry awards won by the magazine instead of using the generic ‘award-winning’ descriptor. Link the ‘2024 Esty of the Year’ testimonial to a press release or announcement page for external validation.
The site perfectly matches the Beauty, Cosmetics & Personal Care category, specifically functioning as a professional association for estheticians. Content focus on liability insurance, skin science education, and industry advocacy confirms this classification.
“The exceptionally low score of 11 is driven by the site's refusal to use generic industry jargon (like 'clinically proven' or 'revolutionary formula') in favor of hard numbers and technical service descriptions. The high Information Density and complete Semantic Coherence are the primary BS-reducers.”
This training module utilizes a snapshot of public data from Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP), captured on June 21, 2026, to demonstrate how machine logic evaluates different types of business narratives.
Purpose: This data is presented under “Fair Use” / “Educational Exception” for the purpose of forensic semantic analysis, allowing users to compare human intuition against machine-generated evaluations.
Notice to Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP): This analysis is part of a non-adversarial audit conducted by 1 Euro SEO. The results provided by 1EuroSEO are intended as professional feedback to help improve any website’s machine-readability and authority signals. The 1EuroSEO BS Detection Tool is a free tool, and anyone can test any company to see how their content is interpreted by AI models.
Any company can use the insights for free and improve its voice by comparing it to industry clichés or competitors. When a company has updated its content, it can always submit a new audit request, which will be reflected in a new current score.
To all users: You are encouraged to visit the live site at https://ascpskincare.com to view the most current version of its content and learn from the source what this company is about and what it offers.
