Colouring  So with all the influence from social media and the internet now having your hair coloured is a minefield of options. One simple search on Google for a "blonde highlight" and you get a overwhelming amount of different techniques giving a variation of results from colour melt to babylights to balayage it can be quite a daunting experience but don't panic as we are going to explain It all to you now. So let's start with the basic traditional foiil highlights, full head, half head or t-section? I know im confusing you already. This is as simple as how much of your hair would you like highlighted, if you'd like highlights all over then you need a full head of highlights. A half head of highlights is as if you'd drawn a line around the back of your head from ear to ear all the hair abouve that line would be highlighted. Perfect for maintenance between full head appontments or mousey blondes with long layers who don't wear their hair up. T-section highlights is having your hair highlighted through your parting and the front sections framing the face. Highlighting is if you are colouring your hair lighter than your natural shade. Low lighting is colouring your hair darker than your natural shade.

Highlighting techniques are also varied, this should all be covered by your stylist during your consultation but let'a cover it anyway. Babylights, this is one of my favourite techniques to create a low maintenance sun kissed natural blonde hue.Baby lights are very fine highlights used to add dimension to your hair. Chunky highlights, these will involve A LOT more upkeep than any other highlighting technique. Think back to the 90`s, Christina Aguilera and Britney spears hait . So chunky highlights are exactly that,chunky. This technique is normally used to create a bold statement and are usually very large sections of colour contrasting to your natural. Tinting, dyeing and all over colouring your hair can all mean the same thing. This can be a case of putting one colour on all over yourhair, although at Natty B`s we do like to use a couple of different shades i n sections to add depth and dimension but still in a low maintenance natural way. This can be upkept with just a root touch up, so to not keep building colour up on the mid lengths and ends.

Rootsmudge, root fade, shadow root, colour melting and root stretching are all similar techniques used by hairdressers to blend between your natural colour and your mid length and ends coloured hair. However, root smudge is more used for after the hair ishighlighted to "smudge" or "blur" the look of bright new highlighted hair with a gloss from as little as 1\2 inch to two inches wide depending on how dramatic an effect you want to achieve. shadow root, colour melting, root fade and root stretching are techniques used to blend out your natural hair colour into more of a balayage, foiliyage etc effect . Giving you more of a natural effect, which allows you more time between appointments.  Balayage, foilyage, ombre and sombre. I know your currently rolling your eyes thinking how is there more, trust me us hairdressers wonder the same some times. Balayage, hand painted highlights to give a more low maintenance, natural blended root effect when compared to traditional highlight. Which leads us into foilyage, Balayage wrapped in foil......there is a reason for such a petty difference, foilyage tends to be a bolder more intense effect. Ombre, the French word for 'colour that is shaded or graduated in tone `. A technique used to create a soft natural transition from usually, darker roots to all lighter ends. sombre is a more natural version usually adding more chestnut, honey or Caramel tones.

Scalp-massaging with warm hair-friendly oils is a beautiful way to relax your mind and nervous system. Scalp massage conditions the scalp and is designed to help with itchy, flaky or dry scalp problems.

[H2] Aftercare for all massage
After any massage, we always recommend drinking lots of water. Have a snack on hand to have after your massage.Also get some rest - your muscles are looser, you feel calm and content. While sometimes it’s unavoidable, try to book your massage for a time where you can go straight home afterwards. Put your feet up, read a book, have a nap, whatever helps you to continue to feel calm.

A hot stone massage is a specialist massage where smooth, heated stones of all sizes are either placed on your body or used to tap or rub over your body. The heat of the stones aims to give a deeper, more relaxing massage, warming and relaxing tight muscles so that the therapist may work more deeply and more quickly, with a focus on giving better results. A hot stone massage is often a good choice if you suffer from muscle spasms, pain or tension.We also provide sports massages, Indian head massages and aromatherapy massages.

We use a cruelty-free luxury tanning spray called “Crazy Angel” to give you a beautiful glow. Our therapists provide a detailed consultation on the various strengths of tanning solution in order to give you a healthy glow or a deep 2-week holiday tan look. To get the best from your tan, we recommend exfoliating the night before to get all the dry skin off.Make sure you’ve done all your waxing or shaving before - if you leave it until afterwards, it can remove the product and cause it to fade faster. On the day of your tan, we ask that you don’t wear makeup, deodorant or any lotions as they create a barrier between your skin and the tan which may make it lighter or even worse, patchy. Wear loose, dark clothes so they don’t rub on your skin or get stained. We supply disposable knickers but you can choose to wear your own. Wear what you feel comfortable in.  Most people go topless so as not to get tan lines from the barrier of a bra. Remember to take off your jewellery so you don’t have to clean tanning lotion off it afterwards. Do not panic when you see your tan straight after your appointment. Most tanning solutions come with what we call a ‘guide colour’; this only allows the therapist to make sure they give you an even tan with no patchy or missed parts. However, this will give you the look of a far deeper tan than you may expect. Refrain from washing it off early as the tan will only be visible after the development time. We recommend moisturising every day to get a longer-lasting tan.

Body brushing removes dead and dull skin cells and targets your body’s natural skin tone and any cellulite. We then massage in an oil or lotion depending on your skin type to add well-needed moisture to the skin. We highly recommend this treatment for pre-tanning or before a holiday.
