Before AmanCentral existed, I was working at Thomas Cook in the travel and tourism industry. The job was stable, but I knew I wanted something different — the freedom to build on my own terms.

So I left and started building businesses. A coffee shop in Chennai. A multi-cuisine restaurant. A mobile phone wholesale operation. A food product business. All four failed. I found myself over $70,000 in debt with no clear path forward.

But those failures taught me more than any course could. I picked myself up, pivoted, and built three businesses that worked — two men’s fashion retail stores and a garment wholesale operation under the Fashion Freak brand. They gave me a steady income, but they also consumed all my time.

Then, in early 2015, I discovered Amazon FBA. I started selling private-label products — just five to begin with. Within the first year, the business generated over $75,000 in revenue with a 40% profit margin. And the best part? Amazon handled the fulfilment, storage, and shipping. For the first time, I had a business that didn’t require me to be there every hour of every day.
