[H1] United States In the United States, we are working to expand opportunities for working families so they can thrive in a changing country and world Overview [H2] Even before the concept of the “American dream” was popularized, The Rockefeller Foundation has sought to promote well-being in the United States. Since 1913, we have worked with partners across political, sector, and state and community lines to ensure everyone in the United States has the opportunity for a good job, good health, good food, and good community. Over that history, the Foundation has made several big bets in the United States. In our earliest days, we helped curtail hookworm, which was making life worse across the American South. We helped protect American soldiers and half a billion others from yellow fever. We helped power the scientists and science that fueled the Manhattan Project and decades of advances in nuclear medicine and more. We invested in the ideas and thinkers that helped shape Social Security. We helped get Americans — particularly students — out of Covid-19 lockdowns. And much more. [H2] Why It Matters 0%%of American households are strugglingto afford a quality of life that includes not just food and shelter, but also education, healthcare, and opportunities for upward mobility 0%%of Americans believethe American Dream is out of reach $0BillionBillionwas the cost of weather disastersin the United States in 2024 alone Current Actions [H5] Today, the Foundation is focused on a few core pillars of work in the United States: Our partners are making a big bet on Food is Medicine to help provide high-need patients, including American veterans, with produce prescriptions, medically tailored meals, and healthy grocery programs that have been shown to improve health outcomes for those with hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. We are helping create collaborations to enable tax policies that work better for American workers and their families. Our goal is to advance solutions that will help at least 25 million American workers achieve economic stability. We are a founding member of the Economic Opportunity Coalition (EOC), a historic effort to catalyze and align public and private investments to accelerate inclusive economic growth, particularly for underserved communities. And we also are supporting big bettors in the United States who want to expand economic opportunity. The Big Bets Fellowship is a 4-month leadership program that brings together an interdisciplinary cohort of emerging leaders to work together to solve some of America’s toughest challenges. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Charities, Nonprofits & NGOs BS: The Rockefeller Foundation (rockefellerfoundation.org)
The Rockefeller Foundation is a high-substance entity using high-fluff branding. While the ‘Big Bets’ terminology is pure marketing theater, it is backed by a century of verifiable institutional authority and massive capital deployment. The score is only elevated from ‘Minimal’ to ‘Low’ BS due to the presence of broken data placeholders and a heavy reliance on industry clichés.
Fix the data-binding issues in the ‘Our Results’ section so that ‘0Million’ and ‘$0Billion’ placeholders are replaced with hardcoded or faster-loading text. Reduce the density of the ‘Big Bets’ phrase in H-tags to allow for more noun-based, specific headers. Provide direct, contextual links to the methodology of the ‘731 million reached’ claim within the same text block to move from signal to substance.
The site perfectly aligns with the Charities, Nonprofits & NGO category, focusing on large-scale philanthropic ‘big bets’ in energy, food, health, and economic opportunity. The content structure supports its role as a global funding and convening body rather than a direct-service grassroots organization.
“The score of 25 is driven primarily by Information Density (12) and Trust & Proof (7). This reflects the visual failure of the 'Results' data counters and the use of massive, difficult-to-verify aggregate impact numbers which, despite the organization's pedigree, function as 'Signal' without immediate forensic 'Substance'.”
This training module utilizes a snapshot of public data from The Rockefeller Foundation, captured on June 19, 2026, to demonstrate how machine logic evaluates different types of business narratives.
Purpose: This data is presented under “Fair Use” / “Educational Exception” for the purpose of forensic semantic analysis, allowing users to compare human intuition against machine-generated evaluations.
Notice to The Rockefeller Foundation: This analysis is part of a non-adversarial audit conducted by 1 Euro SEO. The results provided by 1EuroSEO are intended as professional feedback to help improve any website’s machine-readability and authority signals. The 1EuroSEO BS Detection Tool is a free tool, and anyone can test any company to see how their content is interpreted by AI models.
