Following the successful development and market entry of its flagship TROPIC01 chip, the company is moving forward to strengthen business operations, prepare for future investment rounds, and expand the product portfolio. As part of this transition, Jan Pleskač is stepping down as CEO. Jan has been a foundational pillar of Tropic Square, successfully guiding the TROPIC01 chip from concept to volume production. With this key milestone achieved, Jan will continue his relationship with the company as a shareholder.“Jan took us from zero to one, successfully delivering a chip many thought was impossible. The company’s future success will build on the strong engineering foundation he and the team created,” said Marek Palatinus, Co-founder of Tropic Square and SatoshiLabs Group. To guide Tropic Square forward, Ladislav Veselý has been appointed Interim CEO. With executive experience in organizational scaling and business leadership from his previous CEO role and insights into the company gained since he joined SatoshiLabs Group as COO, Ladislav will prepare the company for future partnerships and investments. During this period, he will also define the profile and lead the search for a permanent technical CEO. While the company’s leadership is evolving, Tropic Square’s core mission remains unchanged. The established engineering team will continue advancing its product portfolio, driven by a shared belief that the future of secure hardware is open and auditable.-About Tropic SquareTropic Square is a European fabless semiconductor company redefining hardware trust for security-critical embedded systems. Invity receives it.Invity2 min read [H6] Out of nearly 300 MiCA licence applications submitted in the Czech Republic, Invity Finance ranks among the first companies to receive a MiCA licence from the Czech National Bank to provide crypto-asset services across the European Union. Invity Finance is a Czech fintech company operating a mobile app for investing in bitcoin through smart investment strategies. Its journey began back in 2019 as a desktop comparison tool designed to help users of Trezor hardware wallets find the most advantageous options for buying and selling bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The company is one of the sister firms within the SatoshiLabs technology holding group, a pioneer and global leader in the bitcoin and broader cryptocurrency industry. In 2022, the company set out to make buying bitcoin simple and to enable people to invest in it easily and securely. This led to the decision to build a native app for direct bitcoin purchases and sales. At the same time, it also meant embarking on the path toward regulation and launching the process of obtaining a MiCA licence. The company was guided through the entire application process by the renowned law firm FINREG PARTNERS, which played a key role in setting up the regulatory framework for the project to ensure compliance with Czech National Bank requirements and applicable regulation. Jan Šovar, Partner at FINREG, adds: “Obtaining a CASP authorisation is among the most demanding licensing procedures overall. While in some Member States the number of applications was only in the single or double digits, the Czech National Bank faced an exceptionally high volume of submissions. The Czech Republic has now joined the half of EEA countries where a CASP licence has already been granted. We therefore consider the successful completion of this project to be a significant milestone not only for the client, but for the entire Czech market. We are pleased to have stood behind one of the first successfully completed projects of such a strong and respected group as SatoshiLabs.”Preparing for the licence was demanding. It involved a substantial amount of administration, significant time dedicated by the team, and a review of internal processes. As part of the preparations, new key positions were created along with internal processes focused on customer protection and meeting regulatory requirements. The application itself consisted of thousands of pages of documentation, dozens of internal policies, and many months of intensive work. Invity Finance submitted it to the Czech National Bank in July 2025. This was followed by several additional requests for information from the regulator. On 11 February 2026, the company successfully obtained the MiCA licence.“We are part of a historic moment when the ‘cowboys’ of the crypto world put on blazers and went to meet with the Czech National Bank. It is unexpectedly symbolic that we are receiving the licence in the very year bitcoin celebrates its eighteenth anniversary since the publication of its white paper. The entire crypto-asset market is maturing, opening up to broader groups of people and, for the first time, officially to institutions as well. I am thrilled that, together with the entire Invity Finance team, we have obtained the licence and can provide users with an app offering the best strategies for buying bitcoin.” Pavla Nýdrle, Partner at Invity FinanceObtaining the MiCA licence contributes to building a regulated environment for crypto-asset services in the Czech Republic and across the European Union. For customers, it means greater transparency, clearly defined rules, and a strong emphasis on secure processes when buying and selling crypto-assets. For companies themselves, the licence opens the door to cooperation with the banking sector and expansion into the single European market.--About Invity Finance s.r.o.Invity Finance is a Czech fintech company focused on building long-term bitcoin wealth. Viliam Klamarčík takes over as CEO, with priorities including improving user experience, driving global expansion, and strengthening Vexl's presence in markets where bitcoin is actually being used.“Vexl hasn’t been a small community side-project for a long time. We now have over 17,000 users and we’re growing rapidly in several regions at once. I want to strengthen execution while at the same time while making more room for strategy and scaling. It’s also crucial for me to keep Vexl true to the reason it was created – as a tool that lets people use bitcoin freely, without permission, without data collection, and without intermediaries,” says Viliam Klamarčík, CEO of Vexl. [H6] From tech consulting and founding a startup to leading a non-profit Klamarčík brings experience from technology and consulting, having worked in the Salesforce ecosystem before co-founding Bluez, a company he helped scale through to its acquisition by Rockaway Group. This mix of corporate and startup experience gives him a useful perspective: he understands how business works, while also knowing how to build a mission-driven project from the ground up – in Vexl’s case around personal and financial freedom. He is now taking over the CEO role from Lea Petrášová, Vexl’s co-founder, who has led the company since 2021. “I’m staying at Vexl as a strategic partner – the ‘spiritual mother’ of the project – and my goal now is to focus more on its long-term vision and strategy. That’s why I’m passing the baton to someone who deeply understands our product, our team, and above all our mission and philosophy. I believe Viliam will complement me perfectly and together we can grow Vexl into a truly significant global project where every user stays in control of the privacy of their money,” explains Lea Petrášová, co-founder of Vexl. [H6] Growing network in Czechia and expansion abroad Since launching in 2022, Vexl has grown to more than 17,000 users who together form millions of connections, a "Web of Trust." On Vexl, you don’t trade with complete strangers, but with people who are part of your broader social circle: your friends, friends of friends, and people connected through the shared communities. The highest number of trust connections is naturally among Czech users – almost 8 million – followed by Slovakia with 1.6 million, and Germany with just under half a million connections. “We’re now entering a growth phase that requires more operational management, tighter alignment across teams, ongoing product development, and further international expansion. In the long term, we want to bring Vexl to places where peer-to-peer bitcoin buying makes the most sense – regions where bitcoin is actually used, not just traded. In Europe, we’ll focus primarily on the DACH region and the UK, and we also want to grow in Africa and Latin America, where we’re already seeing strong organic demand,” adds Klamarčík. [H6] New version of the app aims beyond the bitcoin-only crowd Vexl is currently undergoing a redesign to make the app more intuitive and engaging. New community-focused features will help users better connect the social layer of the platform – including gamification elements and expanded language options. The new version will start rolling out in spring 2026 and is designed to deliver higher speed, improved security, and an overall better user experience.Vexl’s goal is to be the first app people think of when they want to buy or sell bitcoin peer-to-peer without KYC. The planned updates are meant to appeal not only to existing bitcoiners, but also to so-called pre-coiners and no-coiners. [H6] Backed by leading foundations In January 2025, Vexl received a grant from the global non-profit Human Rights Foundation, which supported 20 projects worldwide. Vexl used the funds to further develop the app, improve its cryptography and security, and support local communities in Africa. Prior to that, Vexl received additional grants totalling 120,000 USD from the non-profit organization OpenSats.-About VexlVexl is a mobile app that enables secure peer-to-peer bitcoin trading without the need for KYC (“know your customer”). It combines elements of social marketplaces and trust networks, allowing users to buy and sell bitcoin directly with one another. Vexl puts a strong emphasis on privacy, decentralization, and community collaboration. The project is part of the SatoshiLabs technology group and, as a non-profit initiative, represents a gift to the community with a clear mission: to take bitcoin out of the hands of institutions and put it back into the hands of people. It continues today as Braiins.Slush Pool is becoming more and more of a target for hackers, which prompts the need to find a solution to enhance the security of the mining pool and Bitcoin custody itself. [H3] A Chance Meeting Pavol and Marek meet at brmlab hackerspace Prague in 2011 and the story of SatoshiLabs begins. Both bitcoin and open-source enthusiasts, they start exploring ideas for creating a secure and intuitive cryptocurrency storage solution out of pure curiosity and interest, with no business motivation.During their exploration, they meet Alena Vránová and together lay the foundation for SatoshiLabs. Using the concept of isolating private keys in a separate environment, they create a few prototypes. [H3] The First Prototype The team have their first hardware wallet prototype ready. Although it isn’t pretty to look at or designed for mass production, the prototype is functional and proves that their concept can be realized. As the project continues to grow and receive feedback from the community, the full potential comes into focus. [H3] SatoshiLabs Becomes Official Marek, Pavol, and Alena starts fundraising efforts, leading to the establishment of SatoshiLabs as a legally incorporated company.Through successful fundraising via preorders, the founders are able to develop, manufacture, and deliver the world's original cryptocurrency hardware wallet, the Trezor Model One. [H3] Off to a GreatStart The team grows with the addition of its initial recruits. The first batch of preorders, consisting of approximately 1000 devices, is successfully shipped. Soon after, an official Trezor Shop is launched online for public access. [H3] Growing Strong Business expands with the growing popularity of the bitcoin community. Continuous development efforts result in widespread adoption of Trezor, which leads to the unveiling of the Trezor Model T prototype in 2016.The next-gen hardware wallet starts shipping in 2018, featuring a touchscreen interface, enhanced passphrase entry, and increased privacy features. [H3] Invity Goes Live With the rapid growth of the crypto industry comes numerous opportunities, including services beyond hardware. Trezor's CFO, Stepan, quickly seizes one such opportunity, leading to the birth of Invity.Invity aims to create an independent ecosystem that supports bitcoin adoption and onboarding while complementing Trezor. [H3] Tropic Square Comes on Board SatoshiLabs and Trezor are in need for a truly secure and transparent chip to continue building products with indisputable security. Enter Tropic Square.Tropic Square prioritizes security in chip design, diverging from industry norms by openly sharing results and technical details. They strive to create innovative solutions that place security at the forefront while maintaining transparency, setting them apart from industry norms. [H3] Vexl Says Hi At Chaincamp 2022, we unveil Vexl, a mobile app that aims to bring the power of bitcoin back into the hands of the people. For far too long, bitcoin has been controlled by institutions, making it inaccessible to the average person. But with Vexl, we're changing that.Vexl is a peer-to-peer crypto trading app that allows users to buy and sell bitcoin directly within their community, without the need for middlemen or centralized exchanges. [H3] And We’re Just Getting Started While the industry is still young and figuring itself out, we're paving the way with our innovative approach to drive positive change. Each company dances to their own tune, pursuing their unique ventures, but together we’re strengthening the power and independence of the individual. But we can't do it alone. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 366 businesses audited.
SatoshiLabs has 23.7 points less BS than the average for Crypto, Blockchain & Web3.
Crypto, Blockchain & Web3 BS: SatoshiLabs (satoshilabs.com)
SatoshiLabs is a rare instance of a crypto entity where the substance actually outweighs the signal. While the ‘rebel’ branding is slightly dated and the technical SEO (Schema) is neglected, the site provides a forensic level of detail regarding its history, regulatory status, and technical architecture that most industry players cannot match.
First, implement comprehensive Organization and Person schema to link the founders and subsidiaries to their global digital footprints. Second, reduce the over-reliance on the ‘rebel/rockstar’ vocabulary on the Careers page to better reflect the enterprise-grade engineering described in the Tropic Square section. Third, add direct outbound links to the Czech National Bank’s license registry to substantiate the MiCA claims further. Finally, ensure the ‘Our Innovations’ section on the homepage links directly to the cited GitHub repositories to close the proof loop for developers.
The site is an exact match for the Crypto, Blockchain & Web3 industry, specifically positioned as a hardware and software technology holding group. The content confirms this through deep technical references to BIP standards, secure element architecture (RISC-V), and specific Bitcoin-centric products like Trezor.
“The score of 22 is driven primarily by the lack of structured identity (Identity and Authority) and the use of industry-standard 'revolution' clichés (Commodity Fingerprint). The site is largely free of typical crypto BS, scoring near-zero on semantic drift and high on information density, which kept the overall score in the 'Minimal to Low BS' range.”
