Industry Context — Common BS Fingerprints in Crypto, Blockchain & Web3
Generic Claims: the future of finance, revolutionizing the financial system, passive income with crypto, guaranteed returns…
Red Flags: anonymous team with no verifiable identities, guaranteed return percentages on investments, urgency and FOMO language in token sales, roadmap with no completed milestones…
Semantic Drift Patterns: whitepaper describes complex technology but product is a simple token swap, roadmap promises features already months overdue, homepage claims decentralized but team controls majority of tokens, claims community governance but all decisions are team-made…
Proof Expectations: published and verifiable smart contract audit reports, named team members with verifiable LinkedIn or GitHub profiles, live on-chain metrics and contract addresses, specific VC or investor names with verifiable investment rounds…

HOMEPAGE (https://zerion.io) Crypto Wallet for Solana, Ethereum, DeFi – Zerion
[H2] FAQ
[H3] Is Zerion Wallet safe?
Zerion is a non-custodial wallet audited by professional security firms, including Cube53, Secfault Security, Peckshield, and Trail of Bits. All security audits are public. Zerion Wallet’s core code base is open-sourced. A bug bounty with Immunefi is there to reward whitehat hackers who might uncover any additional vulnerabilities. So, it’s fair to say that Zerion Wallet is safe.
[H3] How do I transfer money to Zerion crypto wallet?
You can send assets from any crypto exchange or a crypto wallet app. To transfer crypto from an exchange, click withdraw in your exchange or ‘send’ in your and wallet app and enter the address of your Zerion crypto wallet. You can also buy crypto in Zerion Wallet: just tap the blue button in the center of your screen, select ‘Buy’, and you will be taken to the dialogue window where you can buy crypto with a credit or debit card. Please note that you will not be able to transfer crypto from Revolut, PayPal or a similar neobank that does not offer crypto withdrawals.
[H3] Can I create wallets for different chains in Zerion Wallet?
A wallet created with Zerion Wallet automatically works with all supported networks that are compatible with Ethereum. This includes Arbitrum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Optimism, Fantom and more.
[H3] Can I make money with Zerion Wallet?
Zerion Wallet is a non-custodial wallet for crypto that gives you access to a broad range of opportunities across DeFi and NFTs. With Zerion Wallet you can easily lend out your cryptocurrency and generate a yield. You can also provide liquidity and earn trading fees. In some protocols you can write options and earn premiums. Your Zerion Wallet will track all these positions and neatly show you your rewards. You can also trade tokens in your Zerion crypto wallet, automatically sourcing the best price from across various decentralized exchanges. Your Zerion Wallet will calculate your costs and profits.
[H3] How does trading work with Zerion crypto wallet?
Zerion Wallet automatically sources the best cryptocurrency prices from across different decentralized exchanges (DEXes) such as Uniswap, 1Inch, Balancer, or Sushiswap. This is done using DeFi SDK, the open-source library developed by Zerion to integrate with leading DeFi protocols. In practice, when swapping tokens in Zerion Wallet, you’ll get the best price that is currently available on various DEXes.
[H3] Does Zerion offer DeFi portfolio tracker and where to find it?
Yes, Zerion Wallet offers a built-in DeFi portfolio tracker, which automatically finds and tracks all your DeFi positions, debts, and rewards. You can find all your DeFi portfolio by tapping the ‘Tokens’ section and then changing the layout to ‘By Platform’ to arrange your assets by protocol. Zerion integrated DeFi tracking for over 500 protocols so it’s very likely that your DeFi assets will be tracked.
[H3] What is the best free crypto portfolio tracker?
The best crypto portfolio tracking depends on what exactly you need to track. Zerion Wallet offers a free portfolio tracker for DeFi and NFTs: it automatically finds and tracks all your tokens. However, this only works for non-custodial wallets, and Zerion will not be able to show assets you own on centralized exchanges.
[H3] How do I track my DeFi coins?
Zerion Wallet automatically tracks all DeFi coins you own. There is no need to add any token or coin manually, they will all show up in the ‘Tokens’ section of your wallet. To see how DeFi tracking works with Zerion, you can first connect your existing wallet and Zerion will automatically track DeFi coins. Zerion crypto wallet tracks all major coins listed on Coingecko as well as any other ERC-20 (for new assets you might see a warning and would need to double check the coin’s smart contract).
[H3] How to track staked DeFi tokens, LPs, and rewards?
In Zerion Wallet, staked tokens, LPs, rewards, debts, and other DeFi positions are automatically tracked. Zerion Wallet’s built-in DeFi tracker can be found in the ‘Tokens’ section of your wallet. If your DeFi positions have any earned and unclaimed rewards, Zerion Wallet will list them in your DeFi dashboard. If you see that, you can go ahead and claim those rewards in the protocol.
[H3] Can Zerion crypto wallet hold Bitcoin?
Zerion Wallet currently does not support Bitcoin. However, you can buy WBTC or wrapped Bitcoin. These are ERC-20 tokens that represent locked BTC and closely track the price of Bitcoin.

[H2] FAQ
[H3] Is Zerion Wallet safe ?
Zerion is a non-custodial wallet audited by professional security firms, including Cube53, Secfault Security, Peckshield, and Trail of Bits. All security audits are public. Zerion Wallet’s core code base is open-sourced. A bug bounty with Immunefi is there to reward whitehat hackers who might uncover any additional vulnerabilities. So, it’s fair to say that Zerion Wallet is safe.
[H3] Can Zerion access my seed phrase ?
No. Zerion is non-custodial. Your seed phrase is stored locally on your device so Zerion does not have access to this data.
[H3] Does Zerion store my seed phrase in iCloud ?
On mobile, Zerion offers an encrypted backup for your seed phrase using iCloud (for iPhones) or Google Drive (for Android phones). It’s entirely optional. If you choose to use the cloud backup, you’ll need to create a safe password to encrypt your seed phrase. Importantly, Zerion will never be able to access your seed phrase — or restore it if you forget the password.
[H3] Which encryption does Zerion use ?
For iCloud and Google Drive backups, Zerion uses encryption from Apple or Google. It’s entirely optional. If you decide to use this, you will need to set up an encryption password with a minimum of 14 characters with numbers, symbols, and mixed case letters.
[H3] What is the safest way to create and store my seed phrase?
For an additional layer of security, you can create your seed phrase via a Ledger crypto wallet and then easily connect it to Zerion Wallet, both the extension and the mobile app.
[H3] Can Zerion recover my password?
No, the password is not stored anywhere in the Zerion database, so only you know it. This also means we cannot restore your password if you forget it. You would then need to reinstall the app and import your wallets. This is the responsibility that comes with self-custody.

"Zerion API has been powering our EVM data since day one, fueling everything from enriched transactions to NFT positions and charts. It helped validate key wallet use-cases well before Warpcast Wallet even existed."Varun SrinivasanCo-Founder of Farcaster“We’ve historically used Zerion as a meta scanner. Instead of going to PolygonScan, Arbiscan, or others, you just go to Zerion web app, and you have all of the transfers there. It’s our proxy to a source of truth for onchain transactions.”Due“Before Zerion, assets from one provider often didn’t match the balances we displayed elsewhere. Users didn’t understand why the numbers were different. We wanted to unify everything with one reliable source.”Eliott MogenetCPO of Safary"With Zerion API, we were able to deliver the wallet experience we wanted. Clear, familiar dollar balances that make sense to new users. And from a team perspective, I haven’t heard a single complaint from our developers during integration, which is the best validation to ask for."Jonny HowleDesign Lead at Para"Zerion’s transaction and portfolio APIs power Privy’s wallet experience - everywhere we show wallet balances in the dashboard is powered by Zerion. Their reliable data has given our engineers the speed and reliability to deliver a core part of Privy's value to developers."MaxCOO of Privy"Zerion's multi-chain wallet API gives our AI agents the ability to understand users' complete portfolios across all major networks. This visibility enables personalized experiences for blockchain users.”JWFounder of Heurist.ai"Zerion API is a swiss army knife for blockchain agents, delivering sophisticated aggregation of wallet analytics like cross chain PnL through one unified API call. Integrating them into our MCP aggregator empowers AIs with comprehensive, real time blockchain intelligence."PierreCEO & Founder of Kirha"We love Zerion API because it made it easy
to add recent activity to Web3Modal without the need to run our own infrastructure. Their API works across 18+ networks and also includes NFTs besides transactions."Derek ReinCTO of WalletConnect"Zerion API helped us reduce the latency in fetching the user portfolio significantly. Since Elsa enables users to write or speak a prompt, getting portfolio details in seconds is magical."Hey Elsa Team"We've worked with Zerion API since day zero even before we launched Uniswap Wallet. From multichain positions to custom labels and EIP-7702 batching support, theyʼve been a key partner across every wallet update."Noah CitronEngineering Lead of Uniswap Wallet"Zerion’s portfolio and APIs are integral to Infinex’s cross-chain experience. Your Diagnosis

Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.

Information Density 0 / 30
Read the Narrative & headings: do hard facts (prices, dates, numbers) outweigh fluff power-words?
Semantic Coherence 0 / 20
Compare the homepage promise against the sub-page reality. Do they hold the same line?
Trust & Proof 0 / 20
Weigh review mentions against actual external proof links. Claims without verification = theatre.
Commodity Fingerprint 0 / 15
Check headings & narrative against the industry clichés in the setup above.

💡 Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)

These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.

Information Density

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Trust & Proof

Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.

Commodity Fingerprint

Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.

Identity & Authority

Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.

Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

1. Replace the vague H1 ‘Browse The New Internet’ with a more descriptive noun-based heading like ‘The Unified Multichain Wallet & Data API.’ 2. Add direct outbound links to the public audit reports mentioned in the FAQ to close the loop on trust verification. 3. Update the review_count in schema to link directly to a third-party review aggregator for increased transparency. 4. Reduce the repetition of ‘Web3 Citizens’ cliches on the homepage to better align with the professional tone of the API and Security sections.

Zerion is a textbook example of the Crypto and DeFi sector, focusing on non-custodial wallet services and developer infrastructure. The content consistently utilizes industry-specific terminology such as multi-chain portfolio tracking, EIP-7702 support, and decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregation.

“The low BS score of 15 is driven by high transparency in pricing, the naming of specific audit firms, and the use of verifiable testimonials from known industry figures. The only points deducted were for minor marketing fluff on the homepage and the standard use of Web3 clichés.”
