How do I become a member?It's quick and easy to sign up to the mydentist Dental plan. Find your nearest dental plan provider below using the search function below. You can then either start the process online today, with a quick and easy online form, or contact the practice team directly for more information.Which plan is right for me?The average patient should see their dentist once a year, as a minimum, where possible. However, some patients may need to see their dentist more regularly for check-ups or additional visits to the hygienist to maintain their oral health.One of the keys benefits of the mydentist Dental Plan, is that it's easy to get started and you're not locked in, as all our plans run on a monthly payment basis.If you're unsure which dental plan is right for you, we recommend starting on Plan A. If your needs change, your dentist can always discuss changing plans with you in the future. You'll be able to manage this either online or in practice with a member of our team.How much will my mydentist Dental Plan cost?Our membership starts at just £10.50 per month* for routine dental care. But you can find the full breakdown of how much our different dental plans cost above.When would my mydentist Dental or Hygiene Plan start?If you signed up to a Membership through Tabeo, your Membership starts on the day you enter into these Terms. If your Membership was previously administered by another provider when you first signed up to it, your Membership started on the day confirmed to you by mydentist.Your entitlement for Goods/Services under the Membership will start on the Membership Start Date.Does my mydentist Dental or Hygiene Plan auto-renew?Your Membership will continue month to month until it is cancelled by you, Tabeo or mydentist in accordance with these terms.I've changed my mind; can I cancel my mydentist Dental or Hygiene Plan?If you signed up to a Membership through Tabeo, you have 14 calendar days to cancel your Membership from the day after we email you to confirm your Membership Start Date, in which case we will refund any payments made by you to your Membership. However, if you cancel after mydentist has started providing services to you under your Membership, you must pay mydentist the non-discounted price for the services provided up until the time you tell us that you have changed your mind. You can exercise your right to cancel by contacting mydentist.

With certain types of braces, it can be difficult to brush the teeth using normal brushing methods, so you may need to take extra care when caring for your teeth – especially during treatment when additional brushing is essential.Can teeth be straightened at any age?Although a good time to straighten teeth is in the teenage years, as the teeth and bones are maturing, your teeth can change position as you age, usually becoming more crooked. If teeth that used to be straight cause you concern later in life or if you have had crooked teeth since childhood, you may want to consider orthodontic treatment. Teeth straightening for adults is very effective, and a range of orthodontic treatments are available at mydentist to help correct your smile.Is orthodontic treatment for adults different from treatment for children?Teeth can be straightened at any age if the teeth and gums are healthy. If they have any concerns, they’ll arrange a treatment plan for you to improve your oral health before your brace or aligner is fitted.How long will my orthodontic treatment take?On average, it can take anywhere from three months to a year to straighten teeth with clear aligners. It can take one to to years, or longer, to straighten teeth using braces. Every case is different and will depend on how much your teeth need to move. Your dentist will be able to tell you how long your treatment is likely to take after you have had a digital 3D scan of your teeth. Some cases can take over a year.Do I need to see a dentist during orthodontic treatment?Your teeth are at greater risk to conditions such as tooth decay and gum disease during orthodontic treatment, and it is essential to maintain regular contact with your dentist. Your regular dentist will help you look after the health of your mouth, gums and teeth and the clinician handling your orthodontic treatment will ensure you are on track to your perfect smile.Will my teeth move again after straightening treatment?After straightening your teeth, you will need some form of retainer to prevent your teeth from moving again. Our team will provide you with a retainer to help maintain the new position of your teeth.What is a retainer?After you have straightened your teeth, you will need a retainer to prevent them from moving again. You can have a removable retainer that you wear at night, like a clear aligner. Your clinician may suggest a fixed retainer, a discreet metal wire bonded to the back of your teeth to keep them in place. What is teeth aligners?Teeth aligners is another term for clear aligners.
