One of the best As far as all-mountain goes, the proto FR stands up to the best. I had some preconceived notions of what I would like about this board when I demoed it, and quite frankly, it was all that and more. I didn’t realize how well it would preform in pow. It’s a surfy carve, and while it’s stiffer, the early rise and tail transition allow it to be a bit more nimble.
I bought the new model, then found an older version, used, that I bought so I can ride it in low coverage. Now I got a Proto FR for every condition imaginable. It’s a quiver killer, so I made a quiver of proto fr’s! Kevin Campbell 03/31/2024 Men’s 2024 Triple Camber Proto FR Snowboard Premium wood! Truly awesome board. I rode my old board for a very very long time and was a little skeptical on the new camber profiles and board shape but the easy rider killed it in about every condition. I had a dozen days on my local Michigan ice hills and a week in the powdery mountains. This board is a thrill at all times. Probably made me a NS for life kinda rider. Get this one if your shopping. Public name 03/30/2024 2024 Triple Camber Easy Rider Snowboard Nimble, Playful, Fun! Straight up, this is the best powder board I've ever ridden. There isn't even any competition. This board wants to "surf". I don't know how else to describe it but a very playful powder junky. It drives into quick and agile turns, allowing me to charge through narrow trees. The only reason this isn't my new daily rider is its lack of triple camber tech. There were a few occasions where I couldn't hold a good edge in the crud or on an icy run that was skied out. As a Midwest rider, I don't see enough powder to truly enjoy the needs of this board ? MAtthew Ertl 03/25/2024 Men’s 2024 Swift Snowboard Rips any terrain. Purely Amazing! Hands down, this is my new daily rider. The tip is super fat, allowing this board to float in powder. The triple camber locks into any condition. The shape and stiffness of this board screams to be ridden aggressively. I had a ton of fun laying out hard carves on groomers and just as much fun ripping through trees with knee to waist deep powder. I can't stress this enough, but the triple camber just locks in. I felt very comfortable riding any condition with this board. Yet somehow it has enough playfulness to hit those natural kickers you occasionally find. For me, this board is a game changer. It gives me the confidence to do all those stupid things that I will one day regret. ? MAtthew Ertl 03/25/2024 Men’s 2024 Limited Nokhu Snowboard It's as good as it gets... I have been snowboarding for 22 years.
Started riding ND borads 5 years ago with Proto type 2. Right there I was hooked. Got the proto synthesis when it came out and saw the improvement.
Last year I got FR and man, I sold all of my boards. I was blown away by how this board rides. If you know what you are doing, this board will give you the ride of your life.
It handles ice, groom, powder, jumps, carving, and I even attack moguls with it. That is how confident I am riding this board.
I used be extremely uncomfortable on moguls but I attack them now days.
For me it's one board that can do it all .
I have to thanks NS and feel fortunate to have this technology available to me to have fun out there. Reza Ordoubadinia 03/21/2024 Men’s 2024 Triple Camber Proto FR Snowboard Best Board Period! I absolutely love this board, or should I say these boards! I say these because after riding the 158 for the week and having more fun than I have in years, I went back and bought the 161!! Justin Brown 03/19/2024 Men’s 2024 Limited Nokhu Snowboard BEST BOARD EVER!!! Oh man, where do I begin with this baby? even when I'm gliding my way to the gondola and I have one foot in the binding it's so easy to control, and while I'm shredding down the mountain the board is effortless to control, it feels more like I'm riding a skateboard rather than a snowboard, and I feel that's the most important part of a board, control. A.M. 03/15/2024 Men’s 2024 Snowtrooper Snowboard Love it! I demoed the board and went home and ordered it. That’s how much the board changed the game for me. I have since taken it out and absolutely love it more with each run. It allows me the confidence to attack harder runs and lines and the control and response from the board is second to none. Kari Matthews 03/02/2024 2024 Triple Camber Easy Rider Snowboard Favorite Snowboard to date I have been riding 25 years and the Valhalla is my favorite snowboard to date.
Just took it to Steamboat Springs, Colorado and agree with the other reviews that you can turn incredibly fast in the trees and it's easy to maneuver in technical trails.
Great float in deeper powder (better than my Proto FR).
All in all I wanted a board like my Proto FR with a more directional shape and a little more set back to be better for out West riding and it delivers.
Great edge hold on black steep trails, solid edge on long flat traverses & felt great all over the mountain. Kevin Zupp 03/01/2024 2024 Fusion Triple Camber Valhalla Snowboard V-Twin is a BEAST After testing half a dozen aggressive top shelf traditional camber boards at an industry demo event I thought this board might feel too loose on the hacked hard pack snow. Man was I blown away when the V Twin offered more edge control than all the trad-camber boards I just rode while still being effortless to get edge to edge without any of the grab of the camber boards. Nothing less than magic… Customer 02/27/2024 Men's 2025 Triple Camber V-Twin Snowboard Game changer I’ve been riding a NS Heritage for about 5 yrs and couldn’t imagine any board being more fun But the triple camber is an absolute game changer and pushed this old guys riding to whole new level! It got better everyday or even every run. The harder I pushed the better it got. It’s hard to put into words how great this board responded Thank you all at NS SO much. Mitchell Sanders 02/27/2024 2024 Triple Camber Easy Rider Snowboard Slaying Ice and Taking Names! I wasn’t even in the market for a new board before I demoed the ‘24 Women’s Proto Synthesis. But after test riding one I couldn’t imagine my life without it! To my delight I received the board for Christmas. My first day on it I nailed a 180 front side nose roll that I had been working on since last season. I quickly mastered that, added board grabs to my repertoire and now I’ve started landing jump 180s consistently, regular & switch. I’m even getting cheers from the chairs when riding under lifts. Those of you who have been riding for a while know what incredibly high praise that is. I don’t want to speak poorly of another brand but my last board was one of the consistently best rated boards on the market but I don’t think I’ve ever progressed as fast as I have since I started riding my Proto Synthesis. I have nothing but praise for this board. She responds like a good dance partner and I’m able to quickly maneuver as needed. It turns, pivots & spins like an extension of my own body, yet I am still able to carry my speed over cat tracks without the board trying to squirrel into a turn or try to fishtail. I am also able to butter without the tail trying to swing around.
This has not been the best snow year for the Summit County Colorado resorts. I’m a very good rider but my last board had slipped out from under me on ice several times earlier in this season, even with freshly sharpened edges. I was starting to become a bit fearful and my love for the sport was beginning to decline. I was interested in the ‘24 over the ‘23 because it has slightly better bite on ice. I wanted anything that would help prevent further bruising to my rear end. I am please to report that I haven’t slipped on ice once since this lovely lady came into my life. This went from a horrible season to one of the best I’ve had because of this new board!
The Never Summer customer service has been amazing as well. Joey at the demo stand did a fantastic job of qualifying me for the right board according to my skill level and riding style. Vance has been incredibly responsive and helpful when I ask questions through the web page chat. Never Summer has rightfully earned my loyalty and I am happy to be supporting a local, home grown company. Ladies, do yourself a favor and demo one of these boards. I’m 5’3”, 120lbs and riding a 139. Hilary Herron 02/27/2024 Women’s 2024 Proto Synthesis Snowboard Insane Holy (insert your own word here)!!!! This board is unreal!! I have been riding NS for over 20 years and have loved every board (5) I have had. But this is a game changer. I have never felt anything that carves and grabs like this. I'm a "born from the ice" Northeast shredder and this board is the end all. I'll be honest, this board was purchased for the graphic, and I don't think there will be any other boards in my future. Best irresponsible purchase I have made. MARK WALLERSTEIN 02/24/2024 Men's 2025 Triple Camber V-Twin Snowboard All mountain ripper I really love this board. I was on a Westbound before and I didn't think I would like this board much more than that - I was wrong. This is a real step up. It's better in almost every way. It's a great carver, handles icy conditions with confidence and is just overall fun to ride. The westbound was a back foot dominated carver - this board is more balanced and rewards front foot initiation - especially on the heelside. This is especially nice after riding powder if your back leg is tired. However this boards floats better than the westbound and doesn't take as much of a back foot weight bias - so less back leg fatigue to start. It rides switch very well especially considering it's taper and directional profile. I'm 215, 6'5", size 12 boots and I'm happy with the 161DF. The extra width of the DF series is a game changer for carving - I boot out with normal wide (~265 waist width) boards. I'll never go back to standard wide boards. Sean Davis 02/08/2024 Men’s 2024 Limited Nokhu Snowboard Triple Camber Changes Lives Once you go triple camber, you will never consider any other shape profile again.
The easy rider loves everything you throw at it, from park to the backcountry, big air tricks, carving, and even the kitchen sink. Just be careful, You might break the sink... Grant Koster 02/05/2024 2024 Triple Camber Easy Rider Snowboard

[IMG: Triple Camber Hybrid Exaggerated Profile]
Triple Camber Hybrid is a game changing innovation. The center rocker of our patented Rocker Camber profile now contains a third camber area creating two small high pressure rocker sections on either side. The result is R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology, a powerful edge hold tech without the drag of serrated edges and a balanced ride not found in any other profile. Triple Camber Hybrid makes the most efficient use of your entire edge. The primary edge hold starts from the center of the board. It’s insanely responsive and stable and aids the high performance engagement of the two outside camber areas located under your feet. The overall Hybrid rocker shape retains the effortless float, playful and forgiving feel, vice-like edge hold, rocket launching pop, and insane butterability. Game changed.

[H2] Triple Camber Recurve
[IMG: Recurve Traditional Camber Exaggerated Profile]
"Take what is traditional and revolutionize it" is how we engineered Triple Camber Recurve - our newest innovation. Triple Camber arched into a powerful traditional camber creates an absolute beast of a snowboard profile. Recurve brings you the ultimate, energetic all mountain feel of traditional camber while giving you an easier ride and more powerful edge hold, made possible by Triple Camber's R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology. This profile dominates all over the mountain and on all different variations of snow. Give Triple Camber Recurve a try and see how we changed the game once again.

[H2] Rocker Camber
[IMG: Original Rocker Camber Exaggerated Profile]
The Original Rocker Camber profile was innovated and first patented by Never Summer in 2008, changing the snowboard industry forever. The overall rocker profile provides a surfy and playful feel while camber on nose and tail provide superior performance and versatility, creating the perfect balance for all mountain performance.

[H2]
R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology

[IMG: RIP Edge Hold Tech Logo]

While other companies stick to edge technology that tweaks the side edge of the board, jutting out and receding like a serrated blade creating a catchy feeling, our R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology marks a revolutionary leap in snowboard design. Instead of the traditional 'grabby' wavy edges that drag through the snow, this new technology integrates waves into the board’s profile on the base plane, creating multiple high pressure points while allowing for smooth glide without drag. This unique design ensures consistent pressure when on edge, leading to smoother, more balanced rides.

[IMG: RIP Edge Hold Tech Logo]

R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology offers unmatched versatility — effortless glide through powder and park features while delivering the precision and grip required to carve deep trenches. Our groundbreaking R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology amplifies edge performance, guaranteeing maximum stability and control in any condition while allowing for easy edge tunes. With R.I.P., riders experience an unprecedented level of confidence and power, setting a new benchmark in snowboard innovation.

Materials + Construction

At Never Summer Industries, we are incredibly proud of our commitment to supporting American jobs and the domestic economy. By sourcing the majority of our materials from within the USA, we ensure top-notch materials for our snowboards while also reducing our environmental impact through shorter supply chains. Manufacuring our products in Denver, Colorado with skilled workers not only guarantees exceptional craftsmanship but also creates valuable job opportunities for our local community.

[H3] WOOBOO WOOD CORE
Never Summer's WOOBOO WOOD CORE combines Bamboo stringers, Paulownia, Poplar and Birch. The Bamboo stringers are light, extremely strong and gives the board quick reflex and lessens vibration. Paulowina is a hardwood that can grow up to 15 feet a year! Bamboo and Paulownia are great sustainable options, Other hardwoods, Poplar and Birch are added, giving the core a great strength to weight ratio. Birch is strategically placed underneath the mounting inserts for a secure, solid connection. This combination of wood species and Bamboo supply the snowboard with a crisp and light underfoot feel with powerful performance.
[H3] NS SUPERLIGHT WOOD CORE
Using a custom blend of wood species that was designed to be a lightweight yet durable core. Our NS SUPERLIGHT WOOD CORE is CNC sanded in our custom woodworking facility to a fraction of a millimeter. A tailored flex is perfected, giving our snowboards unequaled performance.
[H3] ALLPOP WOOD CORE
ALLPOP WOOD CORE is comprised of extremely light Poplar stringers throughout the full length of the wood core. This durable wood is highly impact resistant and very energetic providing a consistent and stable flex pattern. Poplar wood also has natural damping characteristics giving a snowboard a very smooth ride.
[H3] POWERSURF WOOD CORE
A high percentage of lightweight Paulownia is combined with Poplar and Birch running down the middle of the core and Poplar along the sidecut edge. Adding strength and the optimum amount of torsional rigidity. THE POWERSURF WOOD CORE strategically combines these woods in crucial areas of the core for a durable yet lightweight feel.
[H3] PRESS FLEX CORE TAPER
The PRESS FLEX WOOD CORE TAPER features a precisely configured and CNC sanded wood core profile to create 2 seperate flex points between the bindings. These flex or hinge points allow a rider the ability to torsionally flex and control the board. Made for manipulating and flexing the board at slower speeds with a playful feel, ideal for buttering, pressing and jibbing. These hinge points allow a rider to really lock into your press or flat ground butter and spin tricks. Making the PRESS FLEX WOOD CORE TAPER the perfect foundation for freestyle performance.
[H3] RDS 1 DAMPING SYSTEM
The laminated damping layers of RDS 1 are the most extensive in the line. Utilizing a high amount of elastomeric rubber along the effective edge provides unmatched vibration damping and edge hold in variable snow conditions. This substantial damping system also supplies a snowboard with optimal high speed stability.
[H3] RDS 2 DAMPING SYSTEM
RDS 2 or Rubber Damping System 2 is the perfect balance of freeride stability and freestyle liveliness. A more substantial system than a freestyle board to stabilze the board at higher speeds but a little less than damping in a freeride board for leaving the snow. An ideal combination of vibration absorbtion and energetic feel.
[H3] RDS 1+ DAMPING SYSTEM
RDS 1+ is our most extensive damping system designed specifically for our splitboards. With twice the amount of damping material as our other systems for unmatched stability in variable conditions. RDS 1+ wraps elastomeric rubber aroud the perimeter of each ski completely for unmatched durability.
[H3] FREESTYLE DAMPING SYSTEM
This lightweight system is specifically designed for Freestyle performance. FDS or Freestyle Damping System, uses narrower elastomeric rubber foil to reduce weight and provide a snappier feel. Perfect for giving the board a crisp underfoot feel. Freestyle boards are meant to leave the snow or catch air and not weighed down by an overly damp board. FDS furnishes a lively feel while maintaining Never Summer's legendary ride.
[H3] HARMONIC TIP/TAIL DAMPER/PROTECTION
HARMONIC DAMPERS in the tip and tail take out a high percentage of residual vibration by quieting the nose and tail. This enhances stability at speed, in variable snow conditions and on board landings without deadening the liveliness and pop of the cambered areas.
[H3] ECDS Elastomeric Carbon Damping System
Carbon Fiber strands are positioned from the binding mounting area toward the ends of the board, additionally broad elastomeric rubber damping strips are layed on top of the carbon fiber. This stabilizes the board at high speeds and through choppy snow conditions, while absorbing residual vibration or flutter in the nose and tail.
[H3] ELASTOMERIC UNDERFOOT STABILIZERS
ELASTOMERIC UNDERFOOT STABILIZERS are placed directly below the mounting area, providing optimum vibration and shock absorption and increase high-speed stability. These underfoot stabilizers also add cushioning while reducing foot fatigue.
[H3] TRANSITION AREA
A flat section of a snowboards profile, the TRANSITION AREA, that lies at the end of the camber zones just before the tip/tail rise. This area smooths out the transition between the camber area and the tip rise for fluid turn initiation and enhanced powder floatation.
[H3] P-TEX TIP/TAIL PROTECTION
P-TEX TIP/TAIL PROTECTION places UHMW or Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene out to the ends of the board for incredible durability. This material protects these crucial ends of the boards from impact damage and will not crack or break. It not only absorbs impact but also a high amount of residual vibration, while sealing and protecting the wood core.
[H3] LOW PROFILE TIP/TAIL
A lower profile in the nose and tail of the snowboard maximizes material contact with the snow for more powerful ollie/nollie pop and adds stability to your landings. LOW PROFILE TIP/TAIL also reduces the plowing effect in the nose for better glide to the next feature and increases the effective edge for hold and stability.
[H3] EARLY RISE NOSE
EARLY RISE NOSE is a longer tip section that comes off the snow closer to the front binding area. This front end rise and float design gives a board incredible lift in powder, slush and heavier snow conditions. This also provides very smooth turn initiation compared to a traditional steeper kick transition that tends to plow or push snow when engaging a turn.
[H3] POWER GRIP SIDECUT
POWER GRIP SIDECUT utilizes multiple radiuses creating extra contact points to enhance edge hold. A flat section in the rocker area provides a broad contact point when flexed, however when unbent allows the board to track straight and not catch. Flanking this straight section are two shallow radiuses which provide the second and third contact points. Towards the ends of the sidecut are deep radiuses which render quick turn initiation and the final contact points.
[H3] PREMIUM TOPSHEETS
The PREMIUM TOPSHEETS are our very durable, lightweight, scratch and chip resistant fiber backed thermoplastic. These premium topsheets also provide extremely vibrant colors along with more grip than other topsheet materials, working as a built in stomp pad. Our Co-Extruded premium topsheet (Nylon and Polyester) include our Hex-Tech, Carbonium, Matte and TruGrit Topsheets.
[H3] UHMW POLYETHYLENE SIDEWALL
We were the first snowboard company to use and perfect UHMW POLYETHYLENE SIDEWALL (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), and we've never seen one crack. Unlike conventional ABS sidewalls, that have a tendency to crack in colder temperatures, UHMW POLYETHYLENE SIDEWALL maintain their integrity at any temperature. UHMW Polyethylene sidewalls also enhance damping characteristics above the metal edge.
[H3] CARBON VXR LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY
CARBON VXR extends carbon fiber V's out from the inserts to the effective edge for quick response while stiffening the board torsionally in that area. Originating from the binding mounting zones, Carbon V's engage the edge for quick repsonse. Additionally, V's are positioned to the ends of the board providing maximum boost and pop when loaded up. This is an ideal layup to transfer energy to the end of the effective edge, tip/tail and still give the board a softer more forgiving mid-flex for torsional control.
[H3] CARBON MAX LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY
More carbon equals more power and performance. The CARBON MAX LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY combines an advanced top and bottom carbon matrix to maximize response and strength where it's needed most. The result is a lightweight yet powerful configuration that provides torsional rigidity and energy transfer without sacrificing the control a rider needs.
[H3] Recluse Carbon Web Technology
Carbon Fiber is bound in 20 degree angles to add torsional stability to the board, along with longitudinal rebound, enhancing edge hold pressure. The RECLUSE CARBON WEB TECHNOLOGY holds the integrity of the board's flex pattern over a longer period of time and creates powerful snap in and out of the turn.
[H3] STS PRETENSIONED FIBERGLASS
The world's best snowboard fiberglass, period. Our STS PRETENSIONED FIBERGLASS is an advanced pre-hardened, pre-tensioned, layered laminate that has added elastomer stringers between the 0 degree and 90 degree glass fibers (the length of the effective edge). This produces a stronger bond between the individual glass laminates giving our snowboards unmatched strength, edge hold and performance. Most bows use this type fiberglass due to it's unmatched ability to spring back and cast an arrow at a tremendous velocities without breaking.
[H3] BI-LITE FIBERGLASS
BI-LITE FIBERGLASS combines many of the strength characteristics of our STS fiberglass with an ultra light glass fiber matrix. This delivers incredible freestyle and freeride performance without sacrificing durability.
[H3] DURASURF XT SINTERED 5501 BASE
Our suppliers have developed an exclusive, super fast, durable sintered base specifically for our boards. Just the right amount of graphite has been added making the DURASURF XT SINTERED 5501 BASE one of the fastest and certainly the most durable P-Tex bases on the market..

Your Diagnosis

Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.

Information Density 0 / 30
Read the Narrative & headings: do hard facts (prices, dates, numbers) outweigh fluff power-words?
Semantic Coherence 0 / 20
Compare the homepage promise against the sub-page reality. Do they hold the same line?
Trust & Proof 0 / 20
Weigh review mentions against actual external proof links. Claims without verification = theatre.
Commodity Fingerprint 0 / 15
Check headings & narrative against the industry clichés in the setup above.
Identity & Authority 0 / 15
Inspect the schema: is there real Organization/Person identity with sameAs links, or gaps?
Your predicted BS score 0 / 100
💡 Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)

These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.

Information Density

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Semantic Alignment

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Trust & Proof

Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.

Commodity Fingerprint

Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.

Identity & Authority

Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.

Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Ecommerce & Online Retail BS: Never Summer Snowboards (neversummer.com)

https://neversummer.com 📍 Industry: Ecommerce & Online Retail
17 BS / 100

This is a rare example of a high-substance retail site where the marketing signal is almost entirely derived from technical specifications. Never Summer relies on forensic construction details rather than emotional fluff to sell its products.

Implement Organization and LocalBusiness schema to reflect the Denver factory location and closing the technical identity gap. Link the 2008 patent claim to the USPTO database to turn a text claim into a verified proof path. Add a dedicated team or craftsmanship page with names and roles of the actual builders to personalize the handcrafted claim further.

The site is a perfect match for the Snowboard Manufacturing and Retail industry. The content focuses exclusively on snowboard construction, proprietary technology, and direct-to-consumer sales.

“The score of 17 is driven primarily by the high information density and lack of semantic drift. Minor points were awarded for technical gaps like the missing schema and the use of aging reviews (over 24 months old relative to the anchor date), but the site remains a benchmark for low-BS ecommerce.”
