Unlike many schools, all our lessons are conducted on a one to one basis and you will not be sharing your lessons with other pupils. How many lessons will I need? There are many factors that determine how many lessons you will end up needing. Age, gender, attitude, personality and the ability to practise when not in lessons all contribute. Once you have had a few lessons, we will be better able to judge this for you. Are you a qualified instructor? Yes. In order to conduct driving lessons on a professional basis, all instructors must be registered with the DVSA.Some schools use ´PDI´s (practising driving instructors). These are registered instructors but who have not yet passed the final part of their instructors test. These will display a pink triangular sticker in the car window.I am a fully qualified instructor and as such, display a green, hexagonal sticker in the car. Can I have more than 1 lesson a week? Of course you can. The less time between lessons will help you learn quicker as you will need to spend less time acclimatising yourself to the car each time. Please call to discuss availability. Can I have lessons more than 1 hour long? Yes, many pupils find it beneficial to have longer lessons and, depending upon available time slots, 1.5 and 2 hour lessons can be arranged. How will I know I´m ready to take my test? We will keep track of your progress and discuss this with you as appropriate. We will let you know when we feel you are ready to start thinking about booking a test. Skip to content [IMG: Fleet driving courses Renfrew, Paisley] Enquire now [H1] Fleet Driver Training With M8 [H2] Employers Legal Responsibility For Work Related Road Safety Under the Road Traffic & Health & Safety at work Act 2008 plus the new Corporate Manslaughter law introduced in April 08, employers have a duty of care to ensure the safety of employees driving for work purposes. All Companies, large or small, are directly responsible for the safety of all employees. This includes the use of all company vehicles during normal working hours. If you use any vehicle at anytime during working hours for your business then you are responsible. The police can and will be involved in all investigations involving a work related road accident death, or serious injury. In fact police now ask at the scene of accidents if any of the vehicles are being used for work. This means that employers have to manage road risk in the same way that they manage other occupational Health and Safety risks throughout the rest of their business operations. However, even though Government Legislation now requires it, only a small percentage of companies have now implemented a Road Risk Reduction Programme. [IMG: Danny Rooney] Danny Rooney@GTi Direct Dunoon Our company recently hired the services of Mr. Steven Porter of M8 Driver Training to take us through the SAFED training. Steven’s approach was very flexible to our company’s needs. Steven came on site and introduced himself to me and another colleague, explaining what we would be doing. The training was very informative and well worth the time. Steven is a very knowledgeable and competent instructor, putting us at our ease and explaining everything in a relaxed and easy to understand manner. After driving for near on forty years, I was amazed at what simple techniques could save on fuel and efficiency, and also good vehicle sympathy. A day well spent in the company of such a professional. Thank you Steven [H2] Company drivers make up around 12% of licence holders in the UK, yet they are involved in 65% of all accidents and 35% of all fatalities So here’s the thing, the financial cost of not actioning a programme can be SUBSTANTIAL! Fines are between 2.5% – 10% of the annual turnover of a business. For something as little as a defective tyre as well as penalty points for the driver, the company can receive a fine of up to £2,500. Company drivers make up around 12% of licence holders in the UK, yet they are involved in 65% of all accidents and 35% of all fatalities year on year. Yet despite the Health and Safety at Work Act and the strong business case for effective risk management only 8% of company drivers have had any form of training. [H3] Do your employees use a company vehicle, e.g a car, van or mini-bus? Fleet driver training can effectively reduce accidents and costs. Many insurance companies offer a reduction in premiums for those companies whose drivers are regularly assessed by a DSA Registered Fleet Trainer. Your drivers are an integral part of your business; you have the responsibility to help keep them safe while driving for you. Fleet driver training not only helps improve driving skills; it may also help drivers perform more efficiently therefore reducing costs and stress. It highlights the importance of vehicle safety; again, this will help reduce costs as well as possible accident prevention. Enquire now [H3] M8 Offer Fleet & SAFED For Vans Training Since 2006, SAFED for Vans delivered the following proven and verifiable business benefits: • Fuel consumption reduced by 16% • Reduction in gear changes of 33% • Potential annual fuel savings per driver of approximately £450 each In addition, by helping van drivers develop additional skills and improve their driver awareness, drivers and organisations are predicted to benefit from fewer collisions, lower insurance premiums as well as lower running costs and higher resale value of vechicles. In addition, significant environment emission reductions were obtained across the whole scheme. [H2] it may also help drivers perform more efficiently therefore reducing costs [H3] WHAT´S INVOLVED? The one day course involves a mix of classroom and on-the-road tuition and teaches the use of driving techniques such as better use of gears (avoiding over-revving and missing out unnecessary gear changes), keeping correct braking distances (not braking hard), fuel economy and better road awareness (seeing hazards in good time). • Licence Check • Pre Vehicle Checks • Presentation on Occupational Road Risks • Initial Driving Assessment • Demonstration Drive if appropriate • Highway Code Quiz • On Road Driver Training and Coaching • Second Driving Assessment [H3] BENEFITS FOR THE DRIVER? • less stressful driving• improved fuel economy in and out of work• less chance of being involved in a collision• less time off work through ill health/injury• no impact on journey time• skills can be used when driving private vehicles• improved morale and responsibility [H2] UK Road Accident Statistics There are an estimated 3 million company cars on the road. Approximately one in every three road crashes involve a vehicle being driven for work. That´s 3 deaths EVERY DAY involving company vehicles .Company drivers who drive more than 80% of their annual mileage on work related journeys have over 50% more injury accidents than similar drivers who do no work related mileage .Every week approximately 200 road deaths and serious injuries involves someone at workAbout 300 people are killed each year as a result of drivers falling asleep at the wheel.Approximately 4 in 10 crashes that are related to tiredness involve someone driving a company vehicleWork-related road accidents are the biggest cause of work related accidental death. Between 800 and 1000 people are killed annually in work-related road traffic accidents compared to approximately 250 fatalities due to other work related accidentsBusiness drivers have collision rates that are 30 – 40% higher than those of private drivers• Up to 1 in 3 road crashes involves a vehicle being driven for work.• Every week, around 200 road deaths and serious injuries involve someone at work. • For the majority of people, the most dangerous thing they do while at work is drive on the public highway (HSE 1996). [H3] BENEFITS FOR THE COMPANY? • Reduced accidents by the fleet with associated reduced costs • Reduced fuel costs through more efficient driving style • Reduced maintenance requirement through improved vehicle sympathy • Reduced risk of work related ill health • Reduced stress and improved morale • Defence against criminal prosecutions and civil litigation • Improve overall safety for your drivers and general public • Motivated drivers who have received high quality training • Reduce harmful CO2 emissions and company’s carbon footprint • Improve company´s image • Less need for investigations and paperwork • Less vehicles off road for repair • Less lost time rescheduling of work • Fewer missed orders and business opportunities • Up to 16% reduction in fuel consumption •Up to 56% reduction in driver faults •Up to 1.5% reduction in journey times •Up to £450 fuel saving [H2] So don´t wait until it´s too late. Peter Dundee [H4] George Holland from Paisley passed his 3 ADI tests with us. Read what he had to say regarding his training. [IMG: George Holland] George HollandPaisley I´d just like to say a big ´thank you´ to you for all your help and assistance in my successful attempt at becoming an ADI. Wishing you every success in the future and hope to see you on the road soon! Poor training during your PDI days makes it harder to reach the holy grail of a ‘Grade A’ Your trainer, Steven Porter, is a Grade 6 Approved Driving Instructor and is also a Fleet, NDORS & SAFED Coach working out of Paisley and Glasgow. He has attended the University Of East London studying Coaching for Driver Development and has a Btec in coaching for driver education. The last few years has been a very busy period and has seen Steven pass his Diploma in Fleet Training, SAFED Training and also is a Practitioner in NLP (Nuero-Linguistic Programming), In October 2012 Steven went to London to sit a Practitioners course with the founder of NLP Dr Richard Bandler (The man who Taught Paul McKenna). On his last check test Steven received straight sixes. It´s not rocket science, it just needs commitment from you and some coaching. Enquire now [IMG: Mick Cannon] Mick Cannon I recently contacted Steven about a forthcoming Check Test I was due to attend. As this new test was only introduced this year I was keen to be totally prepared. On meeting Steven I was immediatly impressed with his enthusiasm and professional knowledge. Steven explained about coaching and client centred method of teaching then put it all together with a demo drive. Without his help I wouldnt have managed the ´B´ grade I achieved one mark away from an ´A´. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Education, Schools & Universities BS: M8 Driving School (www.m8drivingschool.co.uk)
M8 Driving School provides a masterclass in how small service businesses can minimize BS. By trading generic ‘best’ claims for specific DVSA grades, professional certifications, and transparent pricing, the site achieves a high substance score. The only areas for improvement are the technical schema mapping and the migration of reviews to a verified third-party platform.
Integrate Person schema for Steven Porter in the JSON-LD to technically validate his Grade 6 ADI status and Btec credentials. Replace internally hosted testimonial text with an embedded third-party review widget (Google or Trustpilot) to provide a verifiable proof path. Update the WordPress author metadata to match the primary instructor identity to ensure total semantic alignment. Explicitly link to the DVSA register to prove instructor status rather than just stating it in the body text.
The site strongly matches the Driving School sub-category of vocational education. The content focuses specifically on learner tuition, ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) training, and fleet driver education with appropriate terminology.
“The score of 24 is driven by the site's excellent information density and expert-led content, which heavily outweighs the minor technical gaps in schema and the lack of external proof links for testimonials.”
This training module utilizes a snapshot of public data from M8 Driving School, captured on May 22, 2026, to demonstrate how machine logic evaluates different types of business narratives.
Purpose: This data is presented under “Fair Use” / “Educational Exception” for the purpose of forensic semantic analysis, allowing users to compare human intuition against machine-generated evaluations.
