My mission is simple: I help people, young and old, learn to drive and stay safe on the road. My name is Paul Fisher and I’m a Driving Instructor and Driving Instructor Trainer. I am the Instructor-In-Chief at Rio Driving School. Teaching people to drive is my passion and I want to help as many people as I can. Rio’s mascot, the Macaw, is a symbol of freedom, which I hope you will all have and enjoy.

Meet Paul: Manual Driving Instructor
An Approved Driving Instructor since 2009, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and advanced driving expertise to every lesson.
He holds an impressive range of qualifications, including RoSPA GOLD Advanced Driver, RoSPA Diploma in Advanced Driving Instruction, and IAM Masters Distinction, reflecting his commitment to high driving standards and professional development.
Paul has also been taught by Chris Gilbert, former Police Sergeant Advanced Driving Instructor and Police Advanced Driving Examiner, who notably instructed HRH Prince William and HRH Prince Harry.
Alongside teaching learner drivers, Paul regularly supports trainee driving instructors (PDIs), providing both one-to-one guidance and group training sessions to help future instructors develop their skills and confidence.
Lessons take place in a manual Skoda Fabia, although Paul may also be able to help learners in their own vehicle where appropriate.
Based mainly around Cannock, Paul also covers surrounding areas including Great Wyrley, Cheslyn Hay, Heath Hayes, Norton Canes, Burntwood and Hednesford.
