Silloin hollantilaisen kauppiaan poika Dolf Lassooy rakastui Hollannissa vierailleeseen suomalaiseen kielitieteiden opiskelijaan ja muutti ihastuksensa perässä Suomeen. Itsensä työllistääkseen uudessa kotimaassaan Dolf alkoi edustaa ja maahantuoda eurooppalaisia huivimerkkejä. Vuodet vierivät, edustettavien merkkien määrä kasvoi ja liiketoiminta laajeni. Vajaan kolmen vuosikymmenen ajan yritys toimi eri merkkien agenttina kunnes vuonna 1992 Dolf yhdessä kahden poikansa kanssa päätti tehdä oman malliston ja perustaa Lasessorin. Nimi Lasessor, sen lisäksi että se viittaa asusteisiin, tulee perheen sukunimestä Lassooy joka juontaa juurensa ranskan sanasta silkki – la soie, viitaten suvun silkkikauppias esi-isään. Parissa vuosikymmenessä Lasessor on kasvanut Suomen myydyimmäksi huivimerkiksi ja sitä johtavat Dolfin pojat, Timy ja Tony, jotka yhdessä ammattitaitoisen tiiminsä kanssa työskentelevät ahkerasti tarjotakseen parasta mitä asusteiden saralla on tarjottavissa.
