Training Example: Asana Climbing – Review the Data, Give Your Score & Compare to the Real AI Evaluation

Industry Context — Common BS Fingerprints in Fitness, Gyms & Sports Clubs
Generic Claims: transform your body, the best gym in town, results guaranteed, your fitness journey starts here…
Red Flags: transformation photos with suspicious editing, guaranteed body composition changes, trainer certifications not from recognized bodies, no facility photos or stock gym images…
Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage shows elite athletes but facility is basic, claims expert coaching but trainer qualifications are entry-level, homepage promotes transformation but no before-and-after evidence, claims cutting-edge equipment but facility photos show dated gear…
Proof Expectations: trainer qualifications with certifying body names (NASM, ACE, CIMSPA), real facility photographs, specific equipment brands and lists, genuine member transformation stories with consent…

Our new pads arrived today and we are really psyched at how everything turned out.

[H2] WHAT IS BOULDERING PADDING?

Bouldering is a form of climbing that’s done at lower heights without ropes, so the padded system is entirely built as the landing footprint. Bouldering padding—also called a landing system—is the thick, layered flooring that absorbs impact when climbers fall or jump down from the wall.

CLICK TO LEARN ABOUT CARPETED TOPPER

[H2] HOW IT WORKS

These systems are made from specialized foam in multiple layers, typically combining firm and soft densities to provide a comfortable catch when climbers fall from the wall while bouldering. Top layers of the foam are designed to disperse energy while bottom layers are designed to absorb the fall's energy. A durable carpet or ballistic nylon surface covers the foam or pads underneath, providing a layer of protection to the foam and sublayers, while offering a clean aesthetic and finish.

CLICK TO LEARN ABOUT MODULAR PADDING

[H2] WHY CUSTOM PADDING?

No two climbing gyms are the same. Padding must fit the wall layout, account for traffic flow, and meet specific fall zone best practices. Custom padding systems are designed to fit the space exactly as intended so that the climber is able to think about executing their climbing moves and finishing a bouldering route rather than the landing surface.

"ROKC could not have been successful without Asana’s Modular Padding System. In our 100+ year old building we constantly had issues, so having the ability to quickly move a section of pads, get a scissor lift in there and fix the issue quickly before customers showed up was clutch."- Andrew Potter, Owner, founder

[H2] WHY ASANA

Asana has been building bouldering landing systems for over 20 years. We combine time-tested materials with thoughtful design to create landing systems that last—and perform. From seamless integration to top-tier foam, we tailor each system with precision, style, and a deep understanding of how real climbers fall.

[H2] TESTIMONIAL

[H3] ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

ALT. ROCK has been in operation for 8 years, and our Asana modular padding system has been incredible. With regular upkeep, the mats continue to look as good as new. They’ve proven to be extremely rugged, standing up well to wear, tear, and punctures. The modular system makes it easy to replace foam in high-traffic areas, and the upgraded seam covers provide a smooth, even appearance across the surface.I would highly recommend Asana.Mike MooreOwner, ALT. [H2] EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS

We’ve spent decades designing, manufacturing, and installing bouldering padding systems in real gyms with real climbers and real consequences. From first-time gym owners to established facilities expanding their footprint, we’ve seen what works—and what fails under daily use. Our experience goes beyond foam specs and thickness charts; it’s about understanding traffic flow, fall patterns, maintenance realities, and long-term ownership costs. We help you plan a system that fits your space, your walls, and your business model, so your floor supports your gym from opening day through years of heavy use.

[H2] SUMMIT

LANDING SYSTEMS

[H2] BUILT TO PERFORM, BUILT TO LAST

Our padding systems are engineered for impact absorption, durability, and consistency across the entire fall zone. We use carefully layered foam systems, high-strength textiles, and construction methods designed to maintain performance over time—not just pass a drop test once. Seamless transitions and surface finishes are treated as critical components, not afterthoughts. The result is a floor that feels predictable underfoot, manages energy effectively during falls, and holds up to relentless daily abuse. Simply put: fewer surprises, fewer failures, and a safer, more confidence-inspiring landing surface.

[H2] Serviceability Protects Your Investment

A bouldering floor isn’t a static product—it’s a system that needs to be serviced, adjusted, and supported over its lifetime. Our seamless designs prioritize modularity and access, making repairs, replacements, and reconfigurations straightforward when your gym evolves. We plan for wear zones, future wall changes, and operational realities from the start. When issues arise, you’re not stuck tearing out an entire floor to fix one problem. That service-first mindset keeps downtime low, costs predictable, and your gym climbing-ready without unnecessary disruption.

Your Diagnosis

Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.

Information Density 0 / 30
Read the Narrative & headings: do hard facts (prices, dates, numbers) outweigh fluff power-words?
Semantic Coherence 0 / 20
Compare the homepage promise against the sub-page reality. Do they hold the same line?
Trust & Proof 0 / 20
Weigh review mentions against actual external proof links. Claims without verification = theatre.
Commodity Fingerprint 0 / 15
Check headings & narrative against the industry clichés in the setup above.
Identity & Authority 0 / 15
Inspect the schema: is there real Organization/Person identity with sameAs links, or gaps?
Your predicted BS score 0 / 100
💡 Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)

These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.

Information Density

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Semantic Alignment

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Trust & Proof

Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.

Commodity Fingerprint

Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.

Identity & Authority

Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.

Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Fitness, Gyms & Sports Clubs BS: Asana Climbing (asanaclimbing.com)

https://asanaclimbing.com 📍 Industry: Fitness, Gyms & Sports Clubs
22 BS / 100

Asana Climbing is a high-substance, low-BS site that operates more as a technical manufacturer than a marketing-heavy fitness brand. The score is only elevated by the lack of structured data and a few lingering template-style ‘Why Us’ sections. It is a benchmark for how to sell technical sports equipment without reliance on industry hot air.

Implement comprehensive Organization and Product schema (JSON-LD) to eliminate the null schema gap and anchor the brand’s digital authority. Replace generic H2 headings like ‘EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS’ with specific statistics, such as ’20+ Years of Padding 500+ Climbing Gyms.’ Link the named testimonials to actual case study pages or gallery images of the specific installations mentioned (e.g., the ROKC facility). Add a dedicated ‘Our Materials’ section with technical spec sheets or lab test results for foam compression to further validate the ‘engineered for impact’ claims.

The website perfectly matches the climbing equipment and flooring industry. The content focus on bouldering landing systems, foam densities, and ballistic nylon toppers is highly specific to this niche, moving beyond general fitness claims.

“The score of 22 is driven primarily by technical authority gaps (Step 5) and minor commodity fingerprints (Step 4). The site scored 0 in Semantic Coherence because its sub-pages perfectly deliver on the homepage promises. Information density is high, with only minor penalties for repetitive value propositions.”
