[IMG: DT Warren Brinson] Evan Siegle, packers.comDT Warren BrinsonAnne-Marie from Naperville, ILSo, I'm writing a document for work and used ATMR (WCBW). Thanks for giving me cover. We do our best.Jim from Mundelein, ILWhat is your first observation about the GB players you have seen in this offseason?Watching the 11-on-11 Wednesday, I sensed an aggressive mentality from the defense and a calm focus from the offense. Nothing too surprising. More specifically, I thought edge rushers Lukas Van Ness and Brenton Cox Jr. were really on the attack, but the caveat is the pads don't go on until two months from now.Dennis from Toledo, OHGreetings II community, so 16 players couldn't practice on Day 2 of OTA. About five are obvious, can you help me understand how so many guys can up lame on Day 2? This is non-contact drills stuff, right? In my head they've had several months of recuperation and adequate time to prepare for expectations of an NFL camp. Obviously Day 2 in May is nothing but could it be a prelude to something?Of the 16 who did not practice, nine of them were players I did not expect to see practicing, eight of them due to injuries from last season. As for the other seven, players have been going through five weeks of strength/conditioning and other workouts, so stuff happens. A couple years back, both Tucker Kraft and Zach Tom tore pectoral muscles during offseason workouts and missed all of OTAs. Part of the deal.David from Riverwoods, ILAs we learned last season, it's not how you start, it's how you finish. I'm fine with the medical staff buying time with our returning injured players to make sure they are good to go for the long haul.Amen to that.Jon from Willmar, MNHow soon will we know more on Josh Jacobs? No idea. The next step is for the DA's office to make a charging decision, and what those charges would be, if any.David from Janesville, WIGents, I'm an Emanuel Wilson fan, but folks in an uproar about the current RB situation should remember he was a waiver wire pickup. If there is a period of time that for whatever reason Jacobs can't go, the Packers have in-house candidates and if necessary running back is perhaps one of the easier positions to find an outside resource to come in and contribute quickly. Plus, it's not even June. If needed I'm betting the next Emanuel Wilson is out there, the organization just needs to find him.Couldn't agree more.Nik from Moore, SCHas anyone even bothered to ask Bo Melton if he can play running back? He's done it in a gadget role. He's got 16 carries for 110 yards in his career. But I don't think pounding his 5-11/189 frame into the pile 15 times a game would be all that prudent or productive. Just shows how important all three phases of the game are and I hope the new coordinator can get us back on track.I don't think you're saying anything folks don't already know, and everyone wants to see Cam Achord's units succeed. But as I said many times last winter, the special teams lapses specifically in the two losses to the Bears last season were not on coaches but on individuals who were put in good positions and simply failed to do their jobs. As for moving forward, those individuals are no longer here.Chuck from Pensacola, FLMany moons ago the Packers drafted to stop Randy Moss and of course it wasn't successful. Whether it would have been successful or not I'd have been happy putting the same effort into most recent draft to stop Caleb. He's going to be a big problem for the foreseeable. Is it bad to draft to stop one player or complement one player?Yes. There are way too many considerations to narrow a draft focus in that fashion. Back in '99, the Randy Moss angle became a convenient narrative after his monster rookie year, but the fact is Ron Wolf was looking at a cornerback room after '98 that had Tyrone Williams and basically nobody else, either due to injuries or aging/unproven players. The overhaul had to happen regardless.Bill from Fort Worth, TXFollowing on to Gene from Winston Salem's comments about RJ Maryland. As an SMU season ticket holder, I saw a large sample size of before and after his injury. He just didn't seem to be the same explosive downfield threat he was prior, but with recoveries varying, I'm hoping that'll come back in time and he can be SMU's next Chris Banjo. That's a lot to live up to, as Banjo carved out a heck of a career as an undrafted guy. He's one of my favorite "longshots" to come through here and make it. As for Maryland, let's hope being another year removed from his injury helps him get back to his former self.Damien from AustraliaAfter reading reports from around the internet on the OTAs, it sounds like Warren Brinson was getting a decent chunk of reps. Perhaps flying under the radar for a second-year jump? We'll see. Brinson, Karl Brooks and Chris McClellan were all taking first-team reps on the interior D-line alongside Javon Hargrave with Devonte Wyatt not practicing yet. It's an important time for all those guys to show something.Jack from Chicago, ILThe general consensus appears to be that Zaire Franklin will wear the green dot if that responsibility is not taken by Xavier McKinney. Is it possible Edgerrin Cooper takes that role and is the ILB who never leaves the field?LaFleur confirmed in his comments before Wednesday's practice that Franklin is wearing the green dot.Ben from Bismarck, NDWill the NFL reconnoiter the field in Brazil prior to the Ravens vs. Cowboys game this year after the Packers and Eagles debacle? The Ravens and Cowboys are playing in Rio, not Sao Paulo, so different stadium. Last year, the Chiefs and Chargers played in Arena Corinthians where the Packers and Eagles met, and I don't remember hearing much about the field.Terry from Green Bay, WIGood morning II. Wes did a good job yesterday updating us on the new assistant coaches. I've always wondered if it's better to have a long-term coach (James Campen) that everyone loves or to have someone new come in every couple years. Hopefully, the new guy would have some new tips or tricks that would help even the veterans. And to follow up on another issue – the subject of division games being played internationally, would the league schedule both games between those teams internationally? When it comes to assistant coaches, there are benefits to both stability and change, and no coach can stay the same forever anyway. What matters is whether the coach can reach the players and get their buy-in, and coaches (new or old) who prove to players they can help their careers get that buy-in.Matt from New Richmond, WIPlayers develop upon getting into the league and get stronger, play faster and learn more tools of the trade. I would assume kickers can get more accurate and most add some distance to their range as they develop. What type of range increase do most kickers see between college and the NFL? I am excited to see Trey Smack grow and don the Green and Gold, hopefully for a long time.I don't know if every kicker adds distance as he develops in the pros, or if there's any specific range for those who do. I think it depends on the kicker, how refined his mechanics are, whether he can learn to swing harder without losing accuracy, that sort of thing. I don't recall Mason Crosby adding a lot of distance over his career, as he hit numerous long kicks in college, and Justin Tucker made a 61-yarder his second year in the NFL. Then again, a soccer player who didn't play football in college like Brandon Aubrey has a seemingly unknown ceiling he's still exploring.Jacob from Eyota, MNHi guys, I read an intentionally bold predictions article somewhere a few months ago that guessed in 10 years the NFL would be playing flag football. I get what the writer was saying and I could see it happening in 15-20 years. Do you think the lack of violence/collisions/physicality would cause it to become less popular? Wouldn't it be a less skilled version of basketball? You don't have to dribble in football, and the goal line is bigger than a hoop. Keep up the great work!Interesting questions. The violence of the game drove its rising popularity in the '70s and '80s, and the shift to the player safety era hasn't damaged its popularity at all, thanks in part to competitive balance, dramatic finishes and gambling/fantasy. I think somewhere down the road we'll see more flag-football-ish rules to protect quarterbacks – whose injuries dramatically change competitive balance – before the entire game goes to flags, though.Mike from Vancouver, WAI wasn't aware that the gametime audio feed with Wayne and Larry is available outside of the Wisconsin market. How does one tap into that? I would much prefer the hometown announcers to the network guys any day of the week. The audio is available through our website on desktop browsers anywhere in the world. We post a link to it every gameday. If you're on a mobile device, you have to be within 100 miles of Lambeau Field to access it, per NFL restrictions.Dennis from Ottawa, ILDon't really have a question, an observation about a topic from "Packers Unscripted." Discussion was about how long you could call your new studio, new. In football someone starting in the league is a "rookie" until they have completed a year of service. So following that your studio could be called "new" for the first year. However you wish to describe it, it is new and looks very nice. It's a treat for us. Almost makes us feel like we did something to deserve it. Maybe the studio will get a sponsor soon and that'll take care of the intro.Doug from Roberts, WILOL! "Hand me two months of PTO." But seriously, Mike, what does the organizational chart look like between you and BG? Is your relationship a solid line or a dotted line?Ha. The simplest way to put it is I'm on a different chart.Dave from Comer, GAHey Mike, when you cast your lot this weekend, is that a slow retrieve, a jigging motion, or a topwater kind of thing?Slow retrieve, the same way a crappie takes the bobber down. The lake awaits, see you next week. Happy Friday.HAVE A QUESTION? [H1] Inbox: He's still very much part of this thing [H2] Chris Brooks is capable of doing anything the Packers ask May 28, 2026 at 08:30 AM [IMG: Author Image] Wes Hodkiewiczpackers.com senior writer Copied! [IMG: EDGE Brenton Cox Jr.] Evan Siegle, packers.comEDGE Brenton Cox Jr.John from Green Bay, WIWith Josh Jacobs' status in question, what are the next moves Packers need to do in order to ensure that their running back room is ready to go for the season? As Matt LaFleur reiterated before practice Wednesday, the Packers are letting the legal process with Jacobs play out. Meanwhile, the locker room must stay focused on getting the most out of these OTAs. With MarShawn Lloyd healthy again, the Packers have enough numbers at running back to navigate the offseason program. Green Bay has a plan for Lloyd, who looked good during individuals on Wednesday after practicing in team Tuesday. Chris Brooks and Pierre Strong Jr. took the first-team reps on Wednesday and provide additional reinforcements, as well.James from Appleton, WISure, Chris Brooks is a running back, but if you hooked him up to the Fullback-O-Meter that runs from John Kuhn to William Henderson, where would the needle fall?I'm not sure if that's the right comp. Brooks reminds me a lot of Tony Fisher. He has a good frame for a third-down back. Brooks has soft hands and embraces the art of pass pro. While we haven't seen Brooks carry the ball a ton because of Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson, he was a steady force running out of the backfield at both Cal and BYU. Brooks is capable of doing anything the Packers ask.Al from Green Bay, WII'm sure it's not too early to ask…Who was the MVP of the only day of OTAs you have seen so far?Brenton Cox Jr. had a good day in my estimation. As Spoff and I discussed on “Unscripted,” Cox is the guy nobody's really talking about this offseason but should be. Don't sleep on No. 57. He's still very much part of this thing. Cox looked explosive out of his stance in practice and had a couple a rushes where the second-team offensive line struggled to get a hand on him. He also drew what would have been a holding penalty on another rush.Bobby from Golden Valley, MNFirst-time poster! When does the team expect Micah Parsons back to play in a game? Also, how good can our defense be until he comes back? That's where Cox, Barryn Sorrell, Arron Mosby and Collin Oliver come in. The organization has invested a lot of time and development into edge rusher dating back to drafting Lukas Van Ness in 2023. The Packers are counting on those men to step up until Parsons steps back in.Mike from New Orleans, LABack in the early 2010s, the Pack regularly played five-WR sets and seemed to mostly light up the league (especially in 2011). Has that style of offense disappeared league-wide, and if so, what changed? I know the game is cyclical and watching those teams always had me entranced.I wouldn't say it's disappeared, but running backs and tight ends play such an integral role in the modern offense that it's difficult to pull them off the field. Plus, you can line up your running back wide and then motion him to the backfield to get the defense to show its hand. If a team is hellbent on playing five wide, it risks telegraphing the call and putting its quarterback at hazard in an empty backfield.Jim from Bridgman, MIJim from Hudsonville, MI, got me thinking. Could you compile a list of the new assistant coaches, who they replaced and where the departed coaches landed?Aside from the two new coordinators, you have Bobby Babich and Daniel Bullocks replacing Ryan Downard (Miami Dolphins passing game coordinator) and Derrick Ansley (Dallas Cowboys passing game coordinator) in the secondary, Sam Siefkes replacing Sean Duggan (Dolphins defensive coordinator) as linebackers coach, Luke Getsy replacing Sean Mannion (Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator) as QBs coach, and Noah Pauley replacing Ryan Mahaffey (Eagles run game coordinator) at WR coach. Vince Oghobaase also received a promotion to defensive line coach after assisting DeMarcus Covington last year. And it's whom, by the way.Bret from Hertel, WIDid the Packers work to improve the TE room enough? They lost Ben Sims and John FitzPatrick. Tucker Kraft is coming off a major injury even if he is ahead of schedule. Rookie FAs and Josh Whyle, Drake Dabney, Messiah Swinson, and Luke Musgrave return but the production after Kraft injury was down. Do you see them looking for a blocking TE?I was just about to write that I wouldn't be surprised to see another body added to that room, but then LaFleur told reporters before practice that Tucker Kraft could be back for the start of training camp. Tight end is one position the Packers did not address this offseason outside of college free agency. An argument could still be made about adding a blocking tight end. Green Bay tried to claim Luke Lachey, but he didn't pass the physical here. Kraft is on his way back, though.Gene from Winston Salem, NCAs the dad of an SMU student/now grad, I've been able to attend a few games in Dallas and have tuned in when they appeared on non-streaming television. Several times it appeared to me that RJ Maryland could be a game changer. Any insight on why he dropped completely out of the draft and, perhaps fortunately, into the Packers' lap?Maryland tore his ACL in 2024 and sort of falls between two positions at 6-4, 236 pounds. He's athletic but must prove he can gain separation from nickel cornerbacks, safeties, and linebackers at the next level.Stu from Mesa, AZI just finished reading "The Tipping Point." Compelling stuff which got me wondering about the NFL's "tipping point" to its dominance over American sports. For me, it's the early '90s with the advent of the salary cap and free agency, essentially creating real parity. Curious if you guys agree or have other thoughts.Free agency and how the NFL structured its salary cap were game-changers. That's the water that helped grow the seed that became America's No. 1 sport.Jennifer from Middleton, WIHm, Wes, interesting post from you about Cam Achord having punt returners throw a tennis ball in the air as they catch a punt, then try to catch the tennis ball. Do you guess this is a focus drill to ensure staying present for securing the ball, or is it teaching ability to simultaneously catch and process field of vision and make a first move? All of the above. To my eye, it tests the returner's concentration and forces him to secure the catch before doing anything else. That was a new drill for me. I hadn't seen anything quite like that before. I'm interested in chatting with Achord about the drill this summer.Curtis from Moreno Valley, CAI said it before and I'll say it again...letting Emanuel Wilson go was a big mistake.Only time will tell. At some point, the Packers needed to find out what they have in Lloyd and keeping Brooks was a smart insurance policy while they wait for those answers. We'll see how things go for Wilson in Seattle, too. His signing seems somewhat precarious now after the Seahawks drafted Jadarian Price in the first round to pair with Zach Charbonnet.Michelle from Darlington, WIObviously, the Packers and Bears have a long and storied rivalry. If the Packers are able to disrupt Caleb Williams' passing game, how will they also be able to limit his ability to scramble to extend plays and drives? That's the problem the Packers face for the next decade. Williams can be very dynamic when plays break down – perhaps even more dangerous than when he's playing on time from the pocket. Unlike Aaron Rodgers, though, he's not terribly accurate – or at least hasn't been. In Year 3, the key for Green Bay's defense will be maintaining pressure when things aren't clicking for the young quarterback.Randy from Lebanon, KYWes, in regards to Jeff's question on players negotiating for natural grass in the new CBA you stated, "Too many teams desire stadiums that are domed, revenue-generators 12 months of the year." By my count, there are five open-air stadiums with turf (Bills, Panthers, Bengals, Giants/Jets, Seahawks), and another additional four with retractable roofs (Cowboys, Rams/Chargers, Cardinals, Texans). I see no reason they couldn't be converted to natural grass. This could be a chip in the 18th game negotiations.Sure, but everything is compromise, right? So, what would the NFLPA be giving up to press owners to mandate grass fields? I'd love the league to utilize strictly grass fields, but I don't see it happening. In regards to the New York and Los Angeles markets, you're also playing twice as many games on those surfaces. It would be difficult to keep that field surface up to par. He did it a few years ago and you and the Packers were more than supportive. I get most Packers fans know who he is, but I was just hoping you'd let more people know how great of a cause this is.Thinking of Tom today as he sets out on yet another adventure. This time, he's starting off in Los Angeles on Friday and wrapping up here at Lambeau Field on June 27.Kim from Sheboygan, WIHello Wes. I still can't wrap my head around the owners basically approving division games overseas. Is there something I'm missing? Do the teams receive extra compensation for overseas games? Also, how did the new guys look? Anybody stand out? There is no extra compensation, which is what surprises me most about teams no longer being able to "block" games. Division games are so important – not only when it comes to wins and losses but also the revenue those games generate. Who doesn't want to be there for Packers and Bears at Soldier Field on Christmas Day? That's a big ticket for a game with likely massive implications. You could still push paper if that game was played in Ireland, but the Bears would be losing homefield advantage at a critical point of the season. To your second question, Brandon Cisse stood out on Tuesday. His combination of size and speed is impressive. You can clearly see why he was a top draft choice.Wayne from Orange City, IAWhat is the most memorable geographical location from where you have received a question, one where you went "Wow!?"Uruguay.Keith from Lincoln, ILWes, do you have a favorite introduction from Spoff during "Packers Unscripted"? Just wondering if you prefer to be his Trusted Colleague, Partner in Crime, or something else he has yet to use?I was gonna put "Partner in all things Packers" on my license plate but it didn't fit.Dustin from Kansas City, MOWes, as a fellow UFC fan, how do you feel about Conor McGregor making his return? Part of me wants to believe he still has some magic left, but the practical side of me believes he is going to be a less motivated shell of his former self. Do you think he has one more real run in him or has the sport simply passed him by?Max Holloway is gonna be a difficult matchup for him. If Max's chin holds up in the first round, I don't see a clear path to victory for Conor. He's gonna put a pace on Conor, who wasn't known for his gas tank even in his prime. In addition to a five-year layoff, McGregor is also coming back from a leg fracture, the same injury that took Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman out of contenti

Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 432 businesses audited.
Green Bay Packers has 25.9 points less BS than the average for Fitness, Gyms & Sports Clubs.
Fitness, Gyms & Sports Clubs BS: Green Bay Packers (packers.com)
This is a benchmark for high-substance, low-fluff organizational communication. The Packers website functions as a primary source of data, replacing marketing slogans with forensic-level detail on team operations. It contains almost no detectable bullshit, relying entirely on the unique value of its proprietary information.
Implement comprehensive Organization and SportsTeam schema on the homepage to bridge the technical metadata gap. Enhance the Mobile App sub-page by replacing image-only content with technical specifications and feature descriptions to match the density of the news pages.
