[H2] Eagle Rare 17 Year
[H3] Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Eagle Rare 17 year-old is one of the five bourbons included in the award-winning Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. This rare bourbon is released in small quantities once a year in the fall.
[H5] Tasting Notes
Nose: Dark candied fruit, cigar boxes, cinnamon.
Taste: Delicate and dry. Hints of leather, vanilla and tobacco.
Finish: Lingering, with a hint of toffee.
“This deep, burnished-gold whiskey has a somewhat fragrant nose and the aromas develop an almost wine-like character, with a hint of almonds lurking in the backdrop. The body is big and silky and the palate is far spicier than the nose leads you to believe, but there are also violet notes here, along with a touch of caramel and a hint of old leather. The finish is very leathery and very long.”

[H1] Double Eagle Very Rare
[H3] Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This very limited 20-year-old bourbon whiskey lives up to its name, maturing twice as long as our standard Eagle Rare 10-year-old bourbon and featuring two beautifully-sculpted crystal glass eagles in the Double Eagle decanter.
A true collectors’ item, Double Eagle Very Rare is presented in a luxurious silver box and crystal decanter. Very few bottles were produced, with an individually-numbered letter of authenticity included with each.
[H5] Tasting Notes
Even after two decades of aging in an oak barrel, this bourbon whiskey is surprisingly balanced. Hints of vanilla, toasted oak and caramel lead to a gracefully-aged oaky flavor. Like nothing you’ve ever tasted.

Your Diagnosis

Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.

Information Density 0 / 30
Read the Narrative & headings: do hard facts (prices, dates, numbers) outweigh fluff power-words?
Semantic Coherence 0 / 20
Compare the homepage promise against the sub-page reality. Do they hold the same line?
Trust & Proof 0 / 20
Weigh review mentions against actual external proof links. Claims without verification = theatre.
Commodity Fingerprint 0 / 15
Check headings & narrative against the industry clichés in the setup above.
Identity & Authority 0 / 15
Inspect the schema: is there real Organization/Person identity with sameAs links, or gaps?
Your predicted BS score 0 / 100
💡 Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)

These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.

Information Density

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Semantic Alignment

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Trust & Proof

Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.

Commodity Fingerprint

Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.

Identity & Authority

Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.

Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

29 BS / 100

Eagle Rare is a substance-heavy brand that is currently coasting on legacy data. While its product specificity is excellent, the five-year gap in updated accolades and the total absence of modern schema creates a ‘museum-site’ effect that raises BS alarms regarding its current market relevance.

Immediately implement Product and Organization schema to bridge the authority gap. Update the Awards & Accolades section with data from 2022-2025 to eliminate the stale evidence penalty. Replace subjective fluff like ‘lofty, distinctive taste experience’ with more technical data regarding mash bills or distillation methods. Add outbound links to the official results pages of the cited spirits competitions to move from trust theatre to verified proof.

While the site is classified under Food and Restaurants, it is specifically a premium spirits brand (distillery). The content confirms this with technical tasting notes and age-statement product descriptions that align with high-end beverage manufacturing rather than typical restaurant service.

“The score is primarily driven by the Identity and Authority pillar (11/15) due to the complete lack of schema and stale meta data. Information Density also contributed points because the evidence, while specific, has not been updated in 5 years relative to the 2026 system date. The site remains in the 'Low BS' range (29) because its core product claims are backed by specific, non-generic technical details.”
