Since 2005, we have partnered with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) through its Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), a distinction reserved for organizations that voluntarily exceed regulatory safety requirements through rigorous, comprehensive safety and health management systems. The safety documents below provide critical information to support safe handling, storage and use of our products and reinforce our commitment to operational excellence.

Quality is integral to how we operate and how we serve our customers. From the safety and well-being of our teammates and customers to the protection of our communities and environment, we are committed to meeting and exceeding recognized industry standards. Our facilities operate under globally respected quality frameworks, including ISO and IATF certifications, which establish consistent controls across production, documentation and continuous improvement. These certifications reinforce the reliability, performance and traceability of our domestically produced, EAF steel products.
IATF 16949 is the global quality management standard for the automotive industry, focused on continuous improvement, defect prevention and supply chain consistency.
ISO 9001:2015 provides industry-wide certification standards for a company’s quality management system (QMS). Certification requires third-party endorsement from an accredited registrar. The following Nucor divisions are certified.

An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a third-party verified document that provides transparent and verified information about the environmental impacts of a product throughout its lifecycle. It is based on life cycle assessment (LCA) principles, which evaluate the environmental effects of a product from raw material extraction, manufacturing, use, and disposal or recycling. Nucor is proud to provide these transparent documents to our customers and will continue to build our EPD library in the future.
