Drawing from centuries-old Eastern folklore, the project transforms classic tales of spirits, fox demons, and human desire into an immersive collector’s experience that combines storytelling, luxury craftsmanship, and theatrical presentation.Continuing ARK’s exploration of Eastern fantasy aesthetics following its ShanHai series, the deck uses traditional Chinese splash-ink painting techniques to create an ethereal atmosphere filled with flowing brushwork, softened forms, and dreamlike transitions between the mortal and supernatural worlds.Every illustration is designed to feel as though it has emerged directly from an ancient scroll, blending haunting elegance with contemporary collectible design. The centerpiece of the project is ARK’s highly elaborate packaging system. Housed within a snake-bone-inspired slipcase featuring embossing and gold foil accents, the tuck case unfolds into a rotating cross-shaped three-dimensional theatre inspired by pop-up carousel books. As the structure rotates, four iconic Liaozhai stories gradually reveal themselves as miniature stage scenes, allowing the deck to function as both a playable object and an interactive display piece. The card backs continue this narrative approach through animated panoramic artwork that shifts from elegant Suzhou-style gardens into eerie supernatural landscapes when fanned. Each suit is tied to one of four classic Liaozhai tales. The custom courts features Chinese narrative characters symbolising “Beginning,” “Progression,” and “Ending,” turning every suit into a miniature visual story arc. The Jokers further reinforce the deck’s central themes by representing the coexistence of the mortal and underworld realms through contrasting yin-and-yang imagery.Multiple collector editions expand the experience further, including holographic gilded versions, monochrome manuscript-inspired editions, large-format artist boxsets, and an elaborate wooden collector’s display box that transforms into a rotating theatre stand for the fully unfolded tuck structure. Across every edition, ARK maintains its focus on premium materials, intricate engineering, and highly tactile production techniques.Pledge starts at $30 on Kickstarter. Featured kickstarter [H1] FRAGMENTS: Cubistic Playing Cards Ivan 5/29/2026 No comments 0 FRAGMENTS: Cubistic Playing Cards by Omega Playing Cards are inspired by the revolutionary art of Cubism and the fragmented visual language of Pablo Picasso. Reimagining the traditional playing card through layered geometry, fractured perspectives, and architectural compositions, the project transforms familiar forms into an experimental study of depth, motion, and visual harmony. Every card embraces the Cubist philosophy of presenting multiple viewpoints simultaneously, creating a deck that feels both artistic and mechanically precise. The collection is released in two distinct editions: Vibrant and Rusted. The Vibrant Edition explores Cubism through energetic electric teals, corals, and warm ambers, while the Rusted Edition adopts a darker industrial atmosphere with weathered iron, burnt amber, and carbonised charcoal tones. Both editions are available in standard and Kickstarter-exclusive numbered gilded versions. The tuck boxes use a transfer-process printing technique layered over foiled stock, combining embossed surfaces with contrasting shiny and matte finishes to create shifting textures and dimensional depth. The fractured typography and geometric structures continue across every surface of the box, reinforcing the fragmented aesthetic central to the project. The card backs feature mirrored geometric compositions built around an ocular focal point surrounded by shattered rays, angular planes, and interlocking structures. Inspired by Cubism’s exploration of the “Fourth Dimension,” the designs suggest the collapse of space and time into layered abstract forms. Court cards reinterpret traditional royalty as avant-garde psychological portraits. Kings, Queens, and Jacks are broken into angular, mechanised forms that reject classical anatomy in favour of fragmented structures and overlapping perspectives. The Vibrant Edition uses high-contrast colour palettes to guide the eye through these fractured compositions, while the Rusted Edition reimagines the courts as industrial relics shaped by corrosion and age.The Aces continue the architectural experimentation by transforming the suit symbols into dense geometric frameworks filled with layered facets and abstract spatial patterns. Number cards extend the Cubist approach throughout the deck, integrating pips into shifting backgrounds that blur the distinction between foreground and structure. Printed by KSPCC, the deck combines luxury production techniques with experimental visual design. FRAGMENTS is both a fully functional playing card deck and a contemporary exploration of Cubist art, transforming the familiar structure of playing cards into a layered study of abstraction, geometry, texture, and motion.Pledge starts at $17 on Kickstarter. kickstarter USPCC [H1] Bicycle Birthday Back (Passion Pink Edition) Playing Cards Ivan 5/27/2026 No comments 0 Bicycle Birthday Back (Passion Pink Edition) Playing Cards is a festive, cupcake-themed deck designed by Chris Hage now seeking funds on Kickstarter. The colour palette leans into aged parchment tones, patinaed copper, maroon, and muted terracotta, evoking the warmth and ambition of early aviation workshops. The custom court cards depict pilots, inventors, and explorers dressed in vintage flight gear, while the numbered cards feature redesigned pips and typography inspired by handwritten engineering diagrams and instrument labels. Every detail reinforces the deck’s mechanical and historical theme. The standout features is the animated flipbook-style card back design. When fanned, the propeller of the Wright Flyer appears to spin, paying tribute to the experimentation and persistence that defined the Wright brothers’ achievements. The Signature Editions elevate the presentation further with subtle metallic inks, rustic metallic gilded edges, and Room One’s signature 3D Accordion Tuck Box, which unfolds into a sculptural display piece. Meanwhile, the Standard Editions feature the interactive Rotor Motor Tuck Box, complete with a mechanical propeller effect hidden within the packaging.Combining intricate illustration, tactile finishes, and inventive engineering-inspired packaging, Wright Brothers Playing Cards celebrates the romance of early flight through a thoughtfully designed collector-focused playing card series.Pledge starts at $16 on Kickstarter. kickstarter TCC [H1] Alabaster Playing Cards by TCC Fashion Ivan 5/08/2026 No comments 0 Alabaster Playing Cards by TCC Fashion reimagines classical sculpture through a luxury playing card collection centred on texture, light, and relief-inspired craftsmanship.Building on the success of the David and Venus playing cards series, Alabaster transforms iconic figures such as Athena, David, Michelangelo, and Venus into fully custom playing card designs inspired by gypsum sculptures and museum-grade classical art. The decks use intricate embossing techniques to recreate the tactile feel of carved alabaster, enhanced by carefully engineered lighting and shadow effects throughout the tuck boxes and card faces. The White Special Edition focuses on the purity of alabaster aesthetics, featuring deeply embossed relief textures, elegant European-style carvings, and subtle cold foil accents that enhance the sculptural detail without overpowering it. The court cards form a unified “silent portrait” of classical figures, while the Jokers depict ornate Baroque-inspired architectural scenes.Alongside it, the Holo Edition introduces iridescent holo foil elements that bring a contemporary dimension to the collection. Flowing colour effects interact with the sculptural artwork across the card faces and backs, creating a dynamic contrast between classical form and modern visual treatment. Both editions feature fully custom artwork, symmetrical sculptural back designs, and optional gilded collector versions. The collector set package the decks in elaborate embossed gift boxes that continue the collection’s focus on texture, craftsmanship, and presentation.Pledge starts at $20 on Kickstarter. kickstarter [H1] On Kickstarter, Cerulean Playing Cards Ivan 5/02/2026 No comments 0 Cerulean Playing Cards by James Eads is a visually unified release, but its standout appeal lies in the fully custom 54-card playing card deck, designed with a striking monochromatic blue palette. Now on Kickstarter, the deck features entirely hand-drawn artwork, including custom pips and richly illustrated court cards. The courts introduce 12 original characters from an upcoming creative universe, giving the deck a strong narrative identity while remaining fully functional for gameplay. The minimalist, symbolic design approach carries over from the Lenormand decks, most notably through the use of a unique “seedling script,” reinforcing a cohesive visual language across the project. Despite its artistic direction, the deck maintains clarity and usability, balancing style with practicality.Pledge starts at $20 on Kickstarter. kickstarter [H1] Epiphyllum V2 Playing Cards Ivan 4/25/2026 No comments 0 Epiphyllum V2 Playing Cards is the second chapter in a deeply emotional, art-driven series, created by XIANG as a continuation of the original Epiphyllum deck and a renewed collaboration with illustrator Chengcheng. This edition explores the theme of love and pain, drawing inspiration from the fleeting beauty of the epiphyllum flower... known for blooming briefly at night before fading away.Rooted in the symbolism behind the Chinese idiom “a flash in the pan,” the deck reflects the idea of moments and relationships that are short-lived yet unforgettable. Like fireworks or a passing connection, the Epiphyllum becomes a metaphor for beauty that is intense, rare, and impossible to ignore. The design carries this emotion through every detail. The tuck box is crafted from deep red matte cardstock, not printed red, but naturally coloured paper—giving it a richer, more saturated tone. Gold foil stamping highlights the title, while embossed elements add a tactile, three-dimensional quality that elevates the box beyond a flat surface.Inside, the cards continue the same red-dominant aesthetic. The back design pays homage to the original deck but has been completely redrawn with greater depth and refinement. Cold foil stamping is carefully aligned with the floral artwork, enhancing the delicate lines and creating a subtle shimmer when the cards catch the light. All 56 cards feature fully custom, hand-drawn illustrations, the result of around 60 days of meticulous work. Pledge starts at $10 on Kickstarter. Bloom kickstarter Room One [H1] Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Playing Cards Ivan 4/24/2026 No comm

Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Media, News & Publishing BS: Kardify (kardify.com)
Kardify is a high-substance, low-fluff enthusiast publication that suffers only from a lack of formal journalistic infrastructure. It is a genuine signal in a niche market, providing more data per paragraph than many mainstream media outlets.
1. Implement NewsArticle and Person schema to formally validate authorship and article types for search engines. 2. Create an ‘Editorial Standards’ page to define the site’s source verification and fact-checking processes. 3. Replace the ‘Ivan’ pseudonym or lone author handle with a full biographical profile and professional links. 4. Explicitly link to the mentioned manufacturers (USPCC, etc.) to solidify proof paths.
The site is a highly specialized fit for the Media, News & Publishing category, specifically targeting the cardistry and playing card collector niche. The content confirms this through high-frequency reporting on product launches and technical manufacturing details.
“The score of 22 reflects a high-quality site that lacks the technical and formal authority markers of a professional newsroom. The absence of schema and verified author identities prevents a perfect score, while the excellent information density keeps the score firmly in the 'Low BS' range.”
