I think something is brokn or something, similar to the video. 51 minutes ago 2 replies [IMG: MS-DOS] [H2] The power button stopped clicking on my Fraktal Decine R6 MS-DOS posted a topic in Cases and Mods I have had this case for years with no problems. I noticed the other day that the button does no longer do the nice "click" noise, it's wobbly. It even powered itself up because it was half pressed down. When I go to sleep I turn off all power (the powerstrip has a button) but when I shut down the computer to do something and I had it on, it turned itself on, I was like wtf, then I realized it's the button. I don't know if this happened when I clicked a button on the back that apparently it's to lift off the top of the case (I realized about this just the other day) and somehow screwed up the power button.. I doubt it tho because it's on the other end. So is there a way to fix this? Someone made a video: It omits some steps so im not sure. Looks like the type of thing I try to do then I end up not being able to dissasemble or assemble back something, or break some plastic part. And look at the comments here: So yeah, I think it's going to stay as it is but I wonder what do you think. 3 hours ago 2 replies 1 [IMG: Like] [IMG: MS-DOS] [H2] Any experts on chemicals know what type of mask is best to clean with bleach type products? MS-DOS replied to MS-DOS's topic in Off Topic I mean, it's an appartment, so if I clean my end of the duct, it does nothing. Im not a native english speaker, so im talking about like when there is like a meeting where all residents talk about matters of the appartment community. Like reparations and various improvements, there is a budget made etc. Well on the meeting someone should say something about cleaning the duct system. Or send this message to the president or something. What I mean is, I cannot just clean whatever I can reach with my hand on the end of my duct and expect to improve air flow on the bathroom. 3 hours ago 6 replies 1 [IMG: Informative] [IMG: MS-DOS] [H2] Any experts on chemicals know what type of mask is best to clean with bleach type products? MS-DOS replied to MS-DOS's topic in Off Topic The second link doesnt work: 10 hours ago 6 replies [IMG: MS-DOS] [H2] Any experts on chemicals know what type of mask is best to clean with bleach type products? MS-DOS posted a topic in Off Topic What mask is best when cleaning with bleach type product like Cillit Bang Expert Black Mold Remover? Ingredients: AI said 3M 7500 with "3M 6059 ABEK1" filter is the best but I cannot find that filter, not sure if AI made a mistake? I have cleaned using protective googles, vinyl gloves and an ffp2 mask, however these masks are not ideal, I could still smell the bleach type smell. If these 3M 7500 masks are legit, then please let me know what filters are best for these ingredients. This is important because this bathroom has poor ventilation, has no window. The ventilation grill is clutered with dust, I doubt this has been cleaned like ever. It's an appartment, it would need to be cleaned at a community level, the entire thing. For now it is what it is. I need to clean the black mold in the bathroom every 3 months, whenever I see any buildup. This product worked pretty well, but I don't want to be breathing any of that. Another thing I do is use a fan, I point the fan facing the out of the bathroom door to push air out. Is this correct, or should I point it facing the bathroom door, so new air is pushed inside the bathroom, so the existing air goes out fo the bathroom? Any physicst or something could answer this I guess. Im alreading opening any windows I see on the appartment, but the bathroom is small and no ventilation like I said. With the proper mask and the fan properly pushing air out I could clean this every 3 months. I hope to eventually find out how the ventilation ducts are cleaned on appartments. Even if I clean my end, it's useless, probably entire building is cluttered with dust on the ducts. A profesional company should come and clean the entire thing. Anyway, please let me know. 13 hours ago 6 replies [IMG: MS-DOS] [H2] HDD USB drive never shuts down completely? MS-DOS replied to MS-DOS's topic in Storage Devices I have an old version of the bios, never got around updating it, I'll see if it's there. Sunday at 05:19 PM 8 replies [IMG: MS-DOS] [H2] HDD USB drive never shuts down completely? MS-DOS replied to MS-DOS's topic in Storage Devices Yeah, I was just reading this: https://www.cgdirector.com/what-is-erp-mode-erp-ready-in-bios/ I assume it's safe to use. I mean, it shuts down power to the HDD, which for some reason, has a LED on, and has some noise to it, so im not sure if it's spinning. I assume it's not writing or doing anything. It would be weird since there is no OS or anything to it. I wonder why you have to enable this mode to not waste electricity otherwise these HDDs seem to remain on. Sunday at 05:18 PM 8 replies [IMG: MS-DOS] [H2] HDD USB drive never shuts down completely? MS-DOS replied to MS-DOS's topic in Storage Devices It's 2.5", looks small I don't see anything here about keeping USB powered on: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/gigabyte-x570-aorus-pro-wifi/5.html Sunday at 05:07 PM 8 replies [IMG: MS-DOS] [H2] HDD USB drive never shuts down completely? MS-DOS posted a topic in Storage Devices I bought some Toshiba Parnter Canvio portable USB drives and I keep having corrupted data and losing my data every x months with these. I just realized how when I shut the OS down, the LED sometimes will still remain and doesn't shut down. I don't get it. When I put my ear close to the HDD I also heard a bit of noise. Is it really spinning? what's the idea? There is no OS, the computer is shut down (still has power because the PSU is on). So basically, im scared to shut the PSU off or unplug the cable. Maybe this explains how unreliable these drivers are being. So what do I do? how do you shut this thing down? wtf Sunday at 04:59 PM 8 replies [IMG: MS-DOS] [H2] How do I get the secret out of FreeOTP? My brain hurts right now so I can't look up the spec's of the cables to the backplane nor the spec of the connection on the current raid card. The cheaper the better, I just need JBOD for my unraid server. 8 hours ago 1 reply [IMG: Psittac] [H2] Unraid HPTIOP driver Psittac posted a topic in Servers, NAS, and Home Lab I made one post in the unraid forum but now I'm locked out of making another, so I thought I would see if anyone here has a clue on how to get this to work. Google sometimes say's it won't work, but the driver is literally in the OS. I try to lsblk and the drives don't show up. I lsblk in mint on the same machine and they show up. I have it passing through individual drives or why else would it show up in Mint as individual drives? I'm a little spacey and confused right now, been at this for 5 or so hours with all kinds of stupid thing's happening. An hour to move hardware, an hour to figure out that the new system just won't boot off the old USB drive, an hour due to the raid card not getting plugged back into the pci-e slot (was just next to it fml) and the other two hours messing around and my brain hurts. I really hope someone has a silver bullet, I'm going to take a break and make a post in the unraid forum tomorrow if I don't figure something else out. Thank you for your time 8 hours ago [IMG: Psittac] [H2] Need Suggestions for Microphones Psittac replied to Dr. Will0hlep's topic in Audio I don't know much about mic's, I just purchased a condenser and called it a day. The noise rejection isn't amazing though. Look into different types of mic's like shotgun, lavalier and condenser to see which type naturally has the best ambient noise rejection. You could also look into that Nvidia AI noise rejection software if you're running a compatible nvidia card. I tried it a little and wasn't a huge fan but considering I didn't need it I never used it. You could turn it on only when it's raining. On another note, I work in HVAC and personally use an evaporative cooler 99% of the time at home, but I live somewhere that is very dry and doesn't get extremely hot all thing's considered. I even have central air that I installed myself, and barely use it because an evaporative cooler is far cheaper to run. Depending on your climate you could look into the feasibility of using an evaporative solution. Because that is indeed very hot and not healthy to stay in for long. Just remember that evaporative solutions are not conditioning an enclosed space, rather they are constantly replacing the air in the envelope with somewhat cooler air. So you need to blow it in one side and out the other, people always close all the windows or just crack them and wonder why it's hotter than you know what and swampy inside. But part of that is because the jack was part of a PCB that attached to the planar magnetic membrane. I also started to do this on my T50rp and it's still in pieces because I for the life of me can't figure out the best way to wire up the balanced connector I wanted to use in it. Since these aren't Planar magnetic and you aren't attempting to reinvent the wheel, you could probably do like @Timme suggest, but be warned that the wires are very small and soldering them isn't easy. What I would suggest for purchasing a new headphone, when the time comes, is get something with replaceable cables. Sometimes the cable goes and that's easily fixed, sometimes the socket goes and that's not easy. But the cable is far more likely to have a problem. I had to drop my para onto the jack on a concrete floor for it to damage the jack. The DT770-80 is a very sturdy headphone, but the downside to it is imo the cable that can't be removed. But I don't wear glasses so I can't speak to that point. I have the refine version but I believe the sound profile is the same on both. The treble is a little veiled along with good mid's and decent bass. You can always add a touch of EQ to them if you want to sharpen them up or boost the bass. The soundstage and imaging is excellent. But it's greatest party trick is being extremely light and comfortable. They're tied for my favorite daily headphone with the Focal Elex. Psittac replied to Paradox42's topic in Audio The dragonfly is an amplified source, it would be technically better to use a line signal even if it isn't from as good of a dac. Using an amplified signal can work, but you need to avoid clipping. I would simply hook it to the mb line out and use the dragonfly for headphones. I'm going to contemplate what I will do hardware side, but incase I decide to go back to a regular server chassis with different hardware but the same drives, is there a guide, steps or best practices to moving the entire system from one machine to another? I'm currently on a minisforum PC with a USB DAS. DAS: 1TB nvme cache 2TB nvme VM drive 10TB x 4 storage I have an SMB share that is easily accessible and can be backed up with little effort. My main question is how do I get the VM from one machine to another? That has game server data I don't want to lose. Before the move I'm going to try and back up the server's game data, but this is a good test of best practice. *ok: maybe I spoke to soon. I think that power was lost briefly last night, just long enough to mess with the das. I rebooted everything and parity check is going fine. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Social Networks, Communities & Forums BS: Linus Tech Tips (linustechtips.com)
Linus Tech Tips is an almost entirely BS-free technical community that prioritizes utility over marketing optics. The site demonstrates a rare alignment between its functional identity and its technical implementation, serving as a benchmark for community substance. Its only ‘BS’ is a minor technicality in schema reporting and the use of standard forum UI boilerplate.
To reduce the score further, implement sameAs links in the Organization schema to connect the forum to its verified YouTube and social media handles. Add Person schema to high-reputation members or staff to provide structured authority for technical advice. Explicitly link to LTT Labs testing methodologies within the ‘Guides and Tutorials’ section to provide external validation for performance claims. Ensure the ‘Trust me Bro Guarantee’ is defined in a clear, linkable FAQ to move it from a community meme to a substantiated service claim.
The site is a definitive match for the Communities & Forums industry, functioning as a hub for user-generated technical support, hardware discussion, and creator economy engagement. The presence of specific sub-forums like The Workbench and LMG Sponsor Discussion confirms a high-density community structure centered around tech enthusiasts.
“The score of 10 is driven by the extreme density of substance and the complete lack of semantic drift. The Trust and Proof pillar provided the only meaningful points (5) due to the automated flag on the review-to-proof-link ratio. Commodity fingerprints were negligible (2), reflecting a brand that successfully uses standard tools without succumbing to generic industry messaging.”
