What is a session?A “session” is defined as the time that a user is spending in a frontend application on and off from start to finish or timeout. A user session is either created or resumed when a user visits and uses the site. A user session ends after a maximum lifetime of 4 hours or after inactivity timeout of 15 minutes. It is considered active if it has sent data in the last 15 minutes.Your bill is the sum of active host hours throughout the month, meaning you don’t pay for database instances that are spun down over the weekend or during off-peak hours. What counts as a database host? Each database server instance counts as one database host – for example, each MySQL or PostgreSQL server, each RDS or Cloud SQL instance, or each node in a database cluster. If you run multiple database instances on a single machine, each instance is counted separately. Do you provide discounts for higher usage volumes?Yes, we provide volume discounts for enterprise-scale usage. Contact us for more details. What telemetry costs should I expect?Database Observability generates metrics and logs that are stored in Grafana Cloud. These are billed at standard Grafana Cloud rates for metrics and logs, separate from your host hour usage. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Software, SaaS & Tech Products BS: Grafana Labs (grafana.com)
Grafana Labs delivers a masterclass in high-substance technical marketing. By leaning into transparent pricing and specific engineering outcomes, they have reduced their BS score to a level rarely seen in the ‘AI-powered’ SaaS era. The only remaining ‘hot air’ is the slight over-reliance on the ‘Actually Useful AI’ branding gimmick.
To further reduce the score, remove the ‘Actually Useful AI™’ trademarking to avoid looking like a marketing gimmick. Update the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant reference to 2026 data to maintain currency as of May 2026. Explicitly link the ‘Agentic AI’ meta-title claims to a technical whitepaper on the homepage hero section to satisfy immediate technical scrutiny.
The website perfectly aligns with the Software, SaaS & Tech Products category, specifically focusing on the observability and monitoring sub-vertical. The content is deeply technical, referencing SRE workflows, telemetry protocols, and cloud infrastructure.
“The score of 13 is driven primarily by the high technical density of the pricing and product pages, which neutralize the typical fluff of the homepage. The 'Commodity Fingerprint' and 'Information Density' pillars received minor penalties only for the use of current market buzzwords like 'agentic era,' despite those claims being largely supported by substance.”
