Effective as of October 29, 2025 [H2] Superhuman Privacy Policy (View previous version)Welcome to Superhuman. A little bit about us: We’re the productivity platform that brings AI to you everywhere you work, however you work. When you use Superhuman products, you’re trusting us to handle your personal data with care. We take that trust seriously. We make money when users purchase our paid products and not by selling or monetizing user content. We offer a free product and hope you’ll purchase one of our paid products. This Privacy Policy describes how Superhuman Platform Inc. (formerly Grammarly) and our subsidiaries (such as Grammarly Inc., Coda Project, LLC, and Superhuman Labs LLC) and affiliated companies (collectively, “Superhuman”, “we,” or “us”), collect, use, and disclose information about you, as well as privacy choices available to you. We offer lots of tools to different people and organizations, so we need to explain when this Privacy Policy applies:This Privacy Policy applies when you interact with us as an individual, such as when you create an account, receive our products directly from us, or browse our websites. Unless we tell you a different policy applies, this Privacy Policy covers our products, including those offered as “Grammarly”, “Coda”, “Superhuman Go”, and “Superhuman Mail”. It also covers your interactions with and on our online marketplace (if you build, access, use, purchase, or integrate third-party products in our marketplace, additional terms will apply). If you use our products under the management of a company, organization, or other legal entity (such as if your employer gives you access to our inbox assistant tools for work), this Privacy Policy won’t apply to the information you upload to or output from our products (Customer Personal Data, as defined in our Data Privacy Addendum). In these cases, we process Customer Personal Data on behalf of your company or organization. Please see more info below. Below, we provide some additional privacy information for those living in the United States (US), the European Union, European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by publishing an updated version. If we make material changes, we will provide you additional notice, such as by sending you an email. This includes:Account information: When you create an individual or organizational account, we collect information such as your email address, password, name, email preferences, job titles, and phone numbers. If you use a single sign-on partner, like Google or Apple, we’ll collect the information from them that you authorize.Payment information: If you make a purchase or payment with us, we collect information about the transaction, and our third-party payment processor will handle your payment information. User content: We receive the content you upload or enable our products to access, such as emails and drafts, text, documents, files, calendars, images, data, and any other content you allow our products to access. Communications with us and feedback: You may have the option to submit additional information to us as you use our products or when you interact with our customer support or sales teams. For example, you may choose to participate in surveys where you can provide feedback about our products. We collect some information automatically. We do this when you use our products or browse our websites, for example. This includes: Technical information: We collect technical information about your device and how you access our products. This includes your IP address, device type, browser type and version, apps installed on your device, time zone setting and location, browser plugin types and versions, operating system, and platform. Depending on how you use our products, we may also collect technical information about third-party apps and tools where you use our products.Usage data: We collect usage data about how you interact with us and our products, including your activity on our websites and apps and your interactions with our marketing communications. We collect usage data about actions you take using our products, such as logs of which features you use and data from these features, like read receipts, security logs, as well as quality and performance information about the operation of our products. We also collect data about how you interact with our online marketplace, such as if you access, use, develop, or purchase an offering on the marketplace or integrate third-party marketplace products into your Superhuman account(s). Cookie information: We use cookies and similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage technology, (collectively, “Cookies”) to collect some of the technical information and usage data described above, including to recognize your browser or device. Below, we describe how we use Cookies for advertising and the choices you have, and we also provide more information about Cookies in the Additional European Information section and in the Privacy and Data Rights, Choices and Cookies page. Information about non-users. Your user content may include information about others, such as when you exchange emails with people who don’t use our products or if you choose to give our products access to your contacts so our editing products make appropriate spelling suggestions. We use the contact information and other information we receive about non-users through user content only to provide our products to you and will not use it to contact, advertise, or market to such individuals. Information from other sources. We may collect information about users and non-users that’s publicly available, and we may license data such as your contact info or information about your company or job function from third parties. In addition, we may receive information about you from third parties that you choose to connect with through our online marketplace. For example, if you integrate a third-party marketplace product with a Superhuman account(s), we may receive metrics related to your use of that product or other content depending upon your settings with the third party. This data may be combined with the other information we collect and might include aggregate-level data, such as which IP addresses correspond to zip codes or countries.Information we infer. Finally, we may infer information about you based on the information we collect. For example, we may make inferences about your approximate location based on your IP address, predict that you are interested in certain products we offer based on your usage data and past purchases, and, depending upon your account settings, we may infer what industry you work in and your writing style based on your use of our products. [H2] How We Use Information We Collect How we use the information we collect depends upon how you use our products and your privacy settings. We use information to:Provide and tailor our products to you. We use the information we collect to provide our products to you and to power rich, interactive, and personalized experiences while using them. For example, we process your user content and usage data to show you context-appropriate and personalized suggestions for writing, communications, and scheduling, to prioritize your workflows, and to offer tips on optimizing your use of our products.Improve our products and build new ones. We’re continually developing new ways of making our products smarter, faster, more secure, and more helpful, and imagining new products we could build. For example, we analyze usage data to help us decide what new features to build or improve.Develop and improve AI. We also use information we collect to train our AI models. You can decide whether Superhuman can use your user content to train our AI models by adjusting the available training control(s) in your account settings.Secure our products and troubleshoot problems. We use the information we collect to resolve technical issues that arise with our products. For example, technical data and usage data help us to track outages and monitor security within our products. Process payments. If you are a paying customer, we work with payment processors to process your payment information to enable your transaction. If you purchase our products through a third-party app store or payment processor, you may provide your payment information directly to those providers—not to us. Communicate with you and provide customer service. We use information we collect to communicate with you, such as to resolve issues you encounter with our products or to provide account or product notices. For example, if you contact our support team, we may need access to account information to respond to your request. Market and advertise our products to you. We do not use your user content for marketing or advertising purposes. Depending on your settings, we do use some of the other information we collect (such as your email address, the types of products you have purchased, your usage data, and inferences we may have made about you) to send marketing communications, advertise our products to you on third-party sites and services, and otherwise promote our products and conduct market research. See more info on our advertising practices below. Handle compliance issues and protect against harm. We use the information we collect to comply with law, to protect our users, Superhuman, or others, and to resolve disputes. This includes, for example, responding to legal process and governmental requests, defending our or others’ legal rights, and protecting our users, Superhuman, and others, against fraud, abuse, or other illegal, malicious, or other potentially harmful activities. [H2] When We Disclose Information We disclose information to the types of recipients and in the scenarios described below. The Superhuman family of companies. Companies within the Superhuman corporate family may access information about you, including for business operations, product integration, development, and improvement, and to support promotion of our products. Trusted service providers. We use trusted service providers to help power our products and operate our business. They help with things like payment processing, AI technology, and cloud storage. These trusted service providers are bound by agreements that require them to follow data privacy and security requirements and to follow our instructions. For example, we restrict our AI service providers from training their models on user content of Superhuman customers. Marketplace Participants. Using our online marketplace, you can choose to build, access, use, purchase, or integrate (collectively, “use”) agents, apps, packs, applications, code, plugins, content, services, extensions, or other third-party offerings with your Superhuman account(s). If you choose to use a third-party offering, Superhuman may disclose information to that third party and/or an associated API provider in accordance with your settings. Superhuman does not own or control the third-party offerings available through our marketplace, so please review the policies and choices offered by any third party (including an associated API provider) you choose to engage or integrate. Advertising partners. We engage other companies to serve advertisements promoting our products and our company and to perform related services. We do not make user content available to these companies. These companies may use Cookies to collect limited information about your interactions with our websites, such as a cookie ID or device identifier and a link you click or page you visit on our websites. In addition, we may work with advertising partners to translate your email address or phone number into a unique identifier that such partners can then use to show ads promoting our products on other websites and online services. These activities–disclosing unique IDs and disclosing data through Cookies–may constitute “targeted advertising”, “sharing”, or “selling” under certain privacy laws, and depending on where you live, we may require your consent or you may be able to opt out of such activities. See “Your Rights and Choices” below for more. Government, legal, and similar authorities. We may disclose information about you to governmental agencies, regulators, and other authorities or authorized parties to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or appropriate governmental request. We may also disclose your personal information to protect ourselves, our users, or others from fraud, abuse, or other illegal or potentially harmful activities.Disclosure in the event of merger, sale, or other asset transfer. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, purchase or sale of some or all assets, or transition of service to another provider, then your information may be sold or transferred as part of such a transaction, as permitted by law and/or contract. With your consent or otherwise at your direction. If you consent to us disclosing your information to another user or other recipient or otherwise direct us to share your information, we may do so. We may use and disclose data that has been de-identified so that it can no longer reasonably be used to identify you. We commit to maintaining and using such information in de-identified form and not to attempt to re-identify the information, except for the purpose of determining whether our de-identification processes satisfy applicable legal requirements. [H2] Security and Retention We design our products with security in mind, and we use a combination of safeguards and processes designed to secure data, including encryption, secure network configuration, and other measures, including encryption, network segregation, and access minimization. We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide our products to you, to complete the transactions you have requested, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and for other legitimate business purposes. We retain the data we collect for different periods of time depending on what it is, how it’s used, and how you configure your settings. For example, where we process information for marketing purposes or with your consent, we process the data until you ask us to stop and for a short period after this (to allow us to implement your requests). [H2] 1. Your Acceptance of these Terms These Terms become effective from the date you sign up for a Superhuman account, access our Services, or otherwise indicate that you accept the Terms, whichever happens first. You agree that you are not barred from using the Services under the laws of the United States, your place of residence, or any other applicable jurisdiction. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity (an “Entity”), you agree that: (i) you have full legal authority to bind the Entity to these Terms, and (ii) all references to “you” and “your” in these Terms will refer to that Entity, unless we indicate otherwise. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Superhuman hereby grants to you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to access and use our Services, and where necessary, install and use any software provided by us as described in the documentation for the Services made available at http://superhuman.com/support (“Documentation”). You acknowledge that the Services and any related software are provided to you on a subscription basis; they are not being sold to you. If you are an Entity, you must only access and use our Services for internal business purposes.3.2. Eligibility. You may only use our Services if you are old enough to consent (by yourself and not by a parent or guardian) to share your data under applicable law. For example, you must be at least 13 years old under most United States law, or 16 years old under European Union law. If the law where you reside requires that you be older for us to lawfully provide the Services to you without parental consent (including using your information), you must meet that age requirement.3.3. Account Creation & Management.3.3.1. Account Credentials. To access our Services, you may be required to create an online account (“Account”) with a username, password, and other access credentials assigned to or chosen by you (“Credentials”). Your Credentials are unique to you and must not be shared with other persons, entities, or end users, except as permitted by these Terms. You are responsible for all activities undertaken using your Credentials. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Credentials and must notify us promptly of any actual or suspected unauthorized use of your Credentials. We reserve the right to terminate any Credentials that we reasonably determine may have been accessed or used by an unauthorized third party. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication for added security for your Account.3.3.2. Responsibility for Multi-User Accounts. When you create an Account that includes multiple end users (a “Multi-User Account”), you are responsible for ensuring they comply with these Terms. For more information on managing a Multi-User Account, please review the relevant pages within our Documentation. If you are an individual operating under a Multi-User Account, we will handle your User Content and process your personal information as instructed by the administrator of that Multi-User Account, unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law.3.3.3. School and Work Email Addresses. If you are an individual and you create an Account using an email address that belongs to your employer, school, or other group, such as a church or sports team (an “Organization”), your use of our Services under that Account is subject to that Organization’s control. As such, you acknowledge that the Organization may access, view, restrict, merge, or terminate your Account (each, an “Account Control Action”). For instance, if you initially registered your Account with an email address provided by your Organization and that Organization subsequently purchases a Subscription to our Services, we may merge your Account with the Organization’s Account at their request, and after which, your use of our Services will be subject to the terms applicable to the Organization’s Account. 3.3.4. Account Deletion. If you no longer wish to use our Services and would like to delete your Account, please navigate to the relevant ‘how to delete my account’ page within our Documentation. Please note that once you delete your Account, you will not be able to reactivate it or retrieve any content or information associated with it. If you would like to cancel your existing Paid Subscription but keep your Account, please refer to Section 8.8 (Subscription Cancellation). 3.4. Restrictions on Use; Compliance. You agree that, as a condition of using our Services, you and, if applicable, your end users, will not, and will not encourage or assist any third parties to: (i) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code, object code, or underlying structure, ideas, know-how, or algorithms relevant to the Services (except to the extent that such a restriction is impermissible under applicable law); (ii) provide, sell, resell, transfer, sublicense, lend, distribute, or rent the Services, or otherwise allow others to access or use the Services; (iii) copy, modify, create derivative works of, or remove proprietary notices from the Services; or (iv) circumvent any technical limitations implemented by us, or (v) violate our Acceptable Use Policy. You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws in accessing and using the Services. You represent and warrant that you are not listed on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties or located in (or a national of) a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated by the United States government as a “terrorist supporting” country (as applicable to you as an individual or an Entity). You agree that you will not submit any data to the Services that is controlled under the United States International Traffic in Arms Regulations. 3.5. Processing of Personal Information. If you open an Account on behalf of an Entity, we will process your personal information and that of the end users of that Account in accordance with our Data Privacy Addendum, and we and you agree to comply with its terms, as applicable. In such cases, the Entity is responsible for providing any legally required notices and obtaining any necessary consents for us to provide our Services to the Entity’s end users. If you have opened an Account as an individual (i.e., not on behalf of an Entity), Superhuman’s Privacy Policy will govern the processing of personal information about you, and if applicable, the end users associated with your Account. You can export or delete your User Content, including your personal information, at any time while you have an Account by following the steps detailed in the Data Privacy Addendum (if you are acting on behalf of an Entity) or the Privacy Policy (if you are an individual). 3.6. Reservation of Rights. As between Superhuman and you, Superhuman owns all intellectual property rights in the Services (including all Superhuman-created Enhancements), Beta Services, Documentation, and Usage Data. Except as expressly stated herein, these Terms do not grant you any rights, implied or otherwise, to our intellectual property. The visual interfaces, graphics, design, information, data, computer code (including source code or object code), and all other elements of the Services (the “Materials”) provided by us are protected by all relevant intellectual property and proprietary rights and applicable laws. All Materials contained in our Services are the property of Superhuman or our third-party licensors, and we reserve all rights to them. Except as expressly authorized by us under these Terms, you are not permitted to make use of the Materials. You agree not to remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, service mark, or other proprietary rights notices incorporated in or accompanying the Services or the Materials. 3.7. Feedback and Usage Data. If you provide us with any suggestions, enhancement requests, recommendations, or other feedback regarding our Services, we may use that feedback without restriction or any further obligation to you. We may also collect and analyze data relating to your access and use of our Services (“Usage Data”). Examples of Usage Data include, but are not limited to, technical logs, metadata, telemetry data, and usage information about User Content, such as how often it is accessed.3.8. Changes to the Service. We may modify or discontinue any feature, functionality, or component of our Services at any time (a “Services Update”). If we believe a Services Update may significantly impair your use of our Services, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you before making such Services Update by either sending an email to the email address associated with your Account or via an in-product notification. [H2] 4. Your Use of AI Features 4.1. AI-Generated Content. Depending on your Subscription Plan, you may be able to use generative AI features within our Services that allow you to input prompts and other text (“Inputs”) and receive AI-generated outputs (“Outputs”). When you use our generative AI features, your Inputs and the resulting Outputs are your User Content. Notwithstanding the foregoing, you acknowledge that other users of our Services may, through no fault of Superhuman, use inputs that are similar to yours and, as a result, receive the same or similar outputs as your Outputs. Outputs generated for other users based on their inputs are not considered your User Content. 4.2. Usage Limits; Add-Ons. Depending on your Subscription Plan, you may have limits on your use of our generative AI features. If you exceed your Subscription Plan’s usage limits, we may require you to purchase additional capacity or units to continue accessing and using the generative AI features of the Services. Any additional generative AI capacity or units that you purchase (i) will be tied to your then-current Subscription, (ii) are not transferable to another Account, and (iii) will not be refunded to you upon expiry or termination of your Subscription.4.3. AI Usage Restrictions. Your use of our generative AI features must comply with these Terms, including the restrictions and obligations imposed upon you in Section 3.4 (Restrictions on Use; Compliance). You also must not use our generative AI features i) in a way that infringes, violates, or misappropriates any of our rights or the rights of any third party, or ii) to develop foundation or large language models that compete with our Services. [H2] 5. Your Use of Integrations 5.1. Integrations Generally. 🔗 Identity & Technical Layer — schema JSON-LD: identity chains, entity gaps (Identity & Authority)
Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Software, SaaS & Tech Products BS: Superhuman Platform Inc. (formerly Grammarly) (grammarly.com)
Grammarly/Superhuman is a rare example of a high-traffic SaaS site that actually brings receipts. It successfully navigates a massive brand transition while maintaining a density of ROI data that makes its AI claims feel like tools rather than magic. The only real bullshit is the lack of structured data for a company claiming to be a technical leader.
1. Add comprehensive Organization and Product schema to the homepage to match industry authority claims. 2. Implement Person schema for the cited VPs and managers to verify testimonial authenticity. 3. Update the H1 to something noun-heavy that defines the Superhuman integration rather than the vague Think big. 4. Provide a direct link to the methodology used to calculate the $5,000 per employee per year saving claim.
The site perfectly aligns with the Software, SaaS & Tech Products category. Its content focuses on AI writing assistance, tiered subscription models, enterprise security, and integration with other digital workflows like Zendesk.
“The score is primarily driven by the missing schema_json (Identity and Authority) and the use of generic marketing power words in top-level headings (Information Density). The site scored perfectly on Semantic Coherence due to the consistent messaging regarding its rebranding and product capabilities. Trust and Proof scores were bolstered by the presence of named experts and specific, time-bound metrics.”
