9 June 2026 I completed a fantastic safari in Kenya and Tanzania with my husband and teenagers with Shanjoy tours and I highly recommend them. I have completed a few safari's now and Shanjoy is by far the best. Planning the safari was easy as the staff were responsive, informative and accommodating. We planned a long and detailed safari and the staff were always very helpful with detailed information that assisted in our planning of an itinerary. Shanjoy are passionate about safari's and wildlife and are committed to providing a memorable experience for their travellers. All the staff are really experienced and we were very lucky to have Kim as our guide. Kim is a veteran so he has huge knowledge about animals including birds and landscape. He knows the terrain throughout Kenya like the back of his hand. Although no sighting is guaranteed we saw several different Leopard guided by Kim, he just seemed to know where is find the big 5 at all times. He has big enthusiasm for providing safari which was one of the best elements. We benefited from all his expertise and knowledge and he conveyed the feeling that he was enjoying the experience as much as us, even though he has done it 1000 times. The staff continually monitor lodges to ensure that the standard of accommodation and service is maintained. Kim made sure that every detail was taken care of all the time and when unexpected events occurred he knew what to do and he knew who to call (it seemed he knew everyone where ever we went). We honestly had the trip of a lifetime and highly recommended taking a safari with Shanjoy. 26 May 2026 Our safari trip in Uganda was honestly one of the most beautiful and unforgettable experiences of our lives. Uganda is an incredible country: the landscapes are breathtaking, the wildlife is extraordinary, and the people are some of the kindest and most welcoming we have ever met. We saw so many amazing animals and every day felt like a real adventure. We have already recommended this experience with Safari Africano to many friends and family because it was a life-changing trip. Overall, the itinerary was well organized and everything worked smoothly. Having a private guide for the whole journey was definitely comfortable, especially because it was reassuring to have someone driving, explaining things, and accompanying us throughout the safari. That said, there are a few points that we think could improve the experience for future travelers. First of all, we would not recommend Rushaga Gorilla Lodge. We already explained the reasons in detail directly to both the guide and the travel agent during the trip, so we will not repeat everything here, but unfortunately it was the only accommodation where we did not very feel comfortable. Another important suggestion concerns the golden monkey trekking itinerary. We strongly recommend sleeping directly in the golden monkey area the night before the trek, instead of staying in Bwindi. In our case, after the gorilla trekking, we actually had the whole day free because we found the gorillas very quickly and finished early. We basically spent the rest of the day resting for many hours. The next day, however, we had to wake up around 4 a.m., drive for about 4 hours, do a 2–3 hour trek in the forest, then continue with another 6–7 hour transfer followed by a night safari. It was exhausting and unnecessary. It would make much more sense to transfer to the golden monkey area the evening before, so travelers only have one long transfer after the trek instead of two in the same day. Regarding our guide, overall we had a positive experience with Emmanuel because he was knowledgeable and explained many interesting things during the trip. However, we also believe the experience could have been warmer and more engaging. At times he seemed nervous or not very approachable, and occasionally the way he answered made us feel slightly uncomfortable. We travel a lot and have had many guides in different countries, and while he was definitely competent, he was not the most friendly or welcoming guide experienced. Often we received information at the very last moment, once we had already arrived somewhere. Overall okay, we absolutely recommend him but at the end of the trip, we felt like we were saying goodbye to a just a guide rather than to a friend; personally, we would have loved to build a warmer connection and even leave with a hug, but unfortunately the atmosphere never really became open enough for that. Still, these aspects did not take away from the beauty of the journey itself. This trip was absolutely extraordinary and something we will remember forever. Uganda completely stole our hearts, and despite a few imperfections, this was truly one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. Considering the overall experience, this trip offered truly extraordinary value for money and exceeded our expectations in so many ways. 29 April 2026 We loved our safari in Uganda! The iternary was just how we wanted it. Lots of natural parks and activities. Our guide Emmanuel was great. We felt comfortable, safe and he taught us so much about the country and wildlife. He was just as excited as we were when we spottted animals. To make this journey during raining season was great: parks were not crowded at all, nature was green and so many animals! We even completed the big 5! We loved our safari in Uganda! The iternary was just how we wanted it. Lots of natural parks and activities. Our guide Emmanuel was great. We felt comfortable, safe and he taught us so much about the country and wildlife. 18 February 2026 We had a great trip! Nadia made a good plan for us en after some changes it looked good on paper. In real life it turned out to be the best! The first 2 days in Nairobi were good. Good hotel, nice trip to the town and good food. After that we went on a 9 day safari with our guide Victor. He showed is all the animals we wanted to see (except the snake). He knew so much about the animals and told us everything. Knew the answer to our questions. Always in a good mood, asking us what we wanted and with a really good sense of humor. He is also a really good driver, we always felt safe in the car. He made our trip unforgettable. The last days of relaxing at diani beach were great. We had the time of our lives. The safari camp was great and all the team were so nice. Wr always felt save. After the safari we had some beach days. It was wonderful. We will definitely do this again, maybe in an other country of Africa. Wr went to Kenia. It was a wonderful time. The safari experience was great! The preparation of the trip with Hend could be done step by step by asking all the questions that came to mind. She also helped us to apply for a visa online. On site, we were able to enjoy the trip thanks to Vianny who is a very professional, punctual, respectful, friendly, cultivated and interesting Francophone guide. Car trips go pleasantly because he drives carefully, explains life in Uganda, answers kindly to our questions. In addition, he prepares us for chimpanzee and gorilla trekking by giving us the necessary explanations in French, which is welcome! Go ahead with your eyes closed. Although it’s taken us a while to write this review, our enthusiasm for the trip remains as strong as ever. From start to finish, the organization of the entire trip was outstanding. We felt completely supported and cared for throughout the whole process. It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we deeply appreciate. We would especially like to thank the local guides – most of all Said, who accompanied us for several days. His knowledge was impressive, but more importantly, he always made us feel safe and well looked after.
