[H1] Institutional donors
We are proud and grateful to receive funding from a diverse group of government agencies, private donors and major trusts. This allows us to respond quickly in the event of an emergency and to expand the reach and scope of our development programmes.
Our current institutional donors include the European Union including the Directorate General for International Partnerships (DG IntPa), the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO), the Irish Government, the UK Government and the U.S. State Department. We also receive funding from the Canadian Government, Korean Government, French Government, German Government, UN agencies and many other institutional donors.

The European Union supports our long-term development work in a range of sectors such as livelihoods, health, nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene. A list of Concern’s projects currently funded and co-funded by the European Union is attached at the link above.

European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO)

The Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) supports our work responding to disasters and humanitarian emergencies. Concern has received the EU Humanitarian Partnership Certificate 2021-2027 (Potential Programmatic Partner) from ECHO. Irish Aid

Concern has a long-standing partnership with Irish Aid, the Irish Government's overseas development programme, as funded by the Irish taxpayer. Irish Aid is one of Concern’s largest and most valued institutional donors, with a shared focus on tackling extreme poverty.
Concern supported more than 3 million people with the €31 million Irish Aid provided to our programmes in 2024. Concern’s current partnership with Irish Aid runs from 2023 to 2027 and aims to support 4.5 million people across 21 countries.

UK Government

The UK Government is tackling major global challenges including poverty and disease, mass migration, insecurity and conflict, working to end extreme poverty. From programmes on climate resilience in Pakistan, to emergency relief in Somalia and health and nutrition in Niger, the UK Government is a key partner in supporting Concern's humanitarian and development work.

U.S. State Department

The U.S. State Department supports our humanitarian and long-term development work with a particular focus on humanitarian response, health and nutrition.
The U.S. State Department currently funds Concern programmes in 12 countries.
