SIAMs
We are pleased to share our recent SIAMs report with you. The inspection took place in October 2025. Some particulalr highlights are as follows:

Inspired by the vision, nurturing relationships enhance the wellbeing of pupils and adults. This creates a safe, inclusive and kind culture, where all have the opportunity to grow and flourish.
The vision and values, including aspiration and respect, shape a stimulating, challenging and diverse curriculum in this rural Church school.
This compassionate Church school provides an inclusive environment where individual needs are met. Carefully considered provision ensures pupils, including those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) can participate fully in school life.
Its inclusive approach and commitment to the values of kindness and compassion means pupils and adults are cherished and can thrive.
Pupils and adults are respected and cared for in this warm and welcoming school.
Leaders demonstrate kindness and compassion and families feel they are listened to.

Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is an amount of money the government allocates to each school, to support all pupils to reach their potential. It is particularly aimed at pupils coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, who may also be in receipt of free school meals, in care or children who have a parent in the armed forces. In 2012 the government extended this to include all children who have ever been eligible to receive free school meals (ever 6).
We recognise that not all children who are in receipt of FSM are disadvantaged, and that not all children who classified as socially disadvantaged are registered or qualify for Free School Meals. We reserve the right to allocate pupil premium funding to any pupil or group of pupils that the school has identified as socially disadvantaged or vulnerable to underachievement.
We regularly review our provision for all children, ensuring that funding supports any child that may be vulnerable, thus striving to ‘close the gap’ in attainment and ensure all children make good progress from their starting points.

The colour design is integral to the overall user experience and brand identity, and altering it would require substantial redesign efforts across multiple pages and elements.
We are committed to providing accessible alternatives wherever possible, including offering customisable features or high-contrast modes to support users with visual impairments.
When we next review the design of the website we will carefully consider how our design and branding can be made compatible with recommended contrast ratios.

Some non-essential hyperlinks may be presented as icons without text, in contravention of WCAG criterion 2.44 (Link Purpose)
Similarly, some adjacent links may go to the same destination, resulting in repetition for screen readers.
When we next review the design and build of the website we will carefully consider the coding of such links.

Such documents fail various WCAG criteria (text alternatives, document structure, operability and readability) where they lack proper tagging, text recognition (OCR), or alternative text for images.
When we publish new documents we will endeavour to make sure our use of documents complies with accessibility regulations.
Reviewing and changing all existing PDFs to meet accessibility standards would be a disproportionate burden due to:

Large Volume: A significant number of documents would require extensive time and resources to review and update.
Complexity: Some documents may require complex changes, such as re-tagging or restructuring.
Brand Impact: Altering documents could affect their visual integrity or branding.
Resource Constraints: We may lack the resources or expertise to make widespread changes.
Cost vs. Benefit: The effort to update all documents may outweigh the practical benefits, especially for less frequently used PDFs.

We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.

[H1] Commitment to Improvement

While schools are partially exempt from accessibility requirements for public sector websites, we must still ensure that essential content, such as forms for Free School Meal applications, is accessible. Given this partial exemption, we believe we currently meet the government’s accessibility requirements. However, we are committed to continually improving accessibility, as outlined earlier in this statement, to ensure an inclusive experience for all users.
Scole C of E Primary Academy values diversity and inclusion and is committed to providing an accessible online experience for all members of our community. Your feedback is essential in helping us achieve this goal.
