“Forager Project is a way to eat. It’s a way to be”
A note from our founder, Stephen Williamson
We’re not just family-owned—we’re family-made. We built Forager Project to make food the right way—ourselves. No co-packers. No shortcuts. Just cashews, coconuts, and a passion for the planet. We obsess over every spoonful because this is what we eat, too.

[H1] Our Impact [IMG: Person wearing a white shirt with text, holding their head in their hands, surrounded by blurred people and greenery.] Our impact [H2] Small steps Real change [IMG: One small step logo] . One Small Step is how we make impact tangible through the actions we take and the ones we invite you to take with us. Choosing dairy from plants. Recycling packaging. Supporting organic agriculture. No one has to do everything. But we can all do something. Together, it adds up.Our first step was organic, dairy-free food made from plants, not cows.Scroll on to see the steps we’re taking and the ones you can take with us. [H2] Our pillars Our impact is built on three pillars: Ingredients, Packaging, and Community. Each one is a place small steps make a real difference. [IMG: maybe an image about] [H3] Ingredients [IMG: maybe an image about] [H3] Packaging [IMG: maybe an image about] [H3] Community [H2] Our ingredients Our impact starts at the source. By supporting organic farming and better growing practices, we help protect soil, reduce chemical inputs, and support more stable harvests and livelihoods. [IMG: Bar chart comparing the volume of cashew, almond, and dairy products in gallons.] [H2] A better kind of dairy Reducing our reliance on cows starts with rethinking what dairy can be.We believe moving away from animal-based dairy is one of the most powerful ways to help both people and the planet. That’s why we’ve invested in climate-smart crops—like organic, rain-fed cashews—that do more with less.Cashew milk uses over 90% less water than cow’s milk, requires far less land, and generates significantly fewer greenhouse gas emissions. It also avoids the methane, manure, and runoff that come with conventional dairy. And while almonds depend on heavy irrigation, our cashews thrive on natural rainfall—making them a smarter choice in a warming world. Why every sip counts [H2] Our packaging Better packaging takes all of us. We’re cutting virgin plastic and designing for a more circular system. When you recycle, you help close the loop. [IMG: maybe an image about] [IMG: maybe an image about] [H2] Packaging that goes full circle Packaging plays a big role in getting your foods to you safely—but it also plays a big role in our environmental footprint. That’s why we’re moving away from virgin plastic and toward materials with a lower impact. Our packaging journey Step 1: Bottles In November 2024, all Forager Project bottles transitioned to 98% post-consumer recycled plastic (rPET). Look for the green tag on the label to spot this packaging. Step 2: Yogurt cups In fall 2025, our 5.3oz yogurt cups will shift to a minimum of 60% rPET—reducing plastic waste while maintaining the quality and freshness you expect. Step 3: Paperboard sleeves We’re pairing those yogurt cups with 80% recycled paperboard sleeves—designed to be easy to separate and easier to recycle, helping build a more circular packaging system. Step 4: Scaling the impact Our packaging shift will keep over 500,000 pounds of virgin plastic out of the environment each year. You can help make that impact even bigger. Recycling your bottle, tub, or cup is the next step in turning our efforts into something more meaningful. [H2] Our community People make the system work. We invest in farmers and communities so progress is shared—and lasts. [H2] The Cashew Project We believe meaningful impact starts small—on a farm, in a village, with a single opportunity. That’s the spirit behind our Cashew Project.By investing in the Côte d’Ivoire communities where our cashews are grown, we support farmers as they navigate the challenges of climate change. Through this work, we offer training in sustainable farming practices that protect both farmers’ livelihoods and the health of the planet. One person. One farm. One future. Farm health is human health Climate-smart training Reaching 9,000 farmers with practical techniques—like pruning, erosion control, and composting—to increase yields, strengthen resilience, and protect the land they depend on. Organic certification Supporting 1,000+ farmers through the organic certification process with audits and traceability tools that ensure quality from harvest to processing. Infrastructure for better outcomes Co-funding the construction of a new warehouse and drying yard in Djébonoua to protect harvests from moisture and improve quality and income. Expanding opportunity for women Training more than 1,000 women across 18 villages in farming and business practices—and launching a Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) to support long-term financial independence. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 2707 businesses audited.
Forager Project has 24.4 points less BS than the average for Food, Restaurants & Delivery.
Food, Restaurants & Delivery BS: Forager Project (foragerproject.com)
This site is a rare example of substance-led marketing in the CPG space. It bypasses generic ‘health-washing’ in favor of detailed logistics, regional impact numbers, and clear manufacturing transparency. It is professionally crafted and holds up to forensic scrutiny.
To achieve a near-zero BS score, the company should provide direct links to third-party impact audit reports for the Cashew Project. Expand the schema_json to include Person objects for founders with sameAs links to their LinkedIn profiles or press mentions. Finally, update the Blog section which currently feels underdeveloped compared to the high-density Impact and Story pages.
The content perfectly aligns with the Food, Restaurants & Delivery industry, specifically as a plant-based dairy alternative manufacturer and retailer. The site consistently uses industry-relevant terminology like ‘USDA Organic certified,’ ‘dairy-free,’ and ‘probiotic cashew yogurts’ that confirm its classification.
“The score of 18 was driven primarily by Information Density and Trust & Proof. The site lost minor points for using common industry templates and cliches like 'Our Story' and 'simple ingredients,' but the specific data provided in those sections prevented a higher penalty. The high substance-to-fluff ratio makes this a low-BS entity.”
This training module utilizes a snapshot of public data from Forager Project, captured on May 26, 2026, to demonstrate how machine logic evaluates different types of business narratives.
Purpose: This data is presented under “Fair Use” / “Educational Exception” for the purpose of forensic semantic analysis, allowing users to compare human intuition against machine-generated evaluations.

The results provided by 1EuroSEO are intended as professional feedback to help improve any website’s machine-readability and authority signals. The 1EuroSEO BS Detection Tool is a free tool, and anyone can test any company to see how their content is interpreted by AI models.
Any company can use the insights for free and improve its voice by comparing it to industry clichés or competitors. When a company has updated its content, it can always submit a new audit request, which will be reflected in a new current score.
