Take in the fantastic views of Aughinish & Galway Bay while surrounded by sea and limestone landscape. Watch as boats come and go from the Pier at New Quay, fishing for the shellfish that can be served straight to your table. Built over 300 years ago to function as a post office and public house the building has remained at the centre of the New Quay community for generations. In recent years an extension was built onto the back opening up some wonderful views of the bay. [H2] Dine with us When visiting the Burren, Linnane’s Lobster Bar is a must for lunch or dinner. We serve food with an emphasis on fresh local produce, sourcing from within the Burren where possible. We are known for our seafood but we cater for all tastes. Eat on the terrace during the Summer while the sun is shining and watch the boats come and go or come inside and cosy up beside the fire when Winter sets in. Whatever the weather, a trip to the Burren is not complete without a visit to Linnane’s. [H2] The Flaggy Shore The Flaggy Shore, located a short walk from Linnane’s is one of nine sites of geological importance that forms the basis of the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher (UNESCO Global Geopark). Famous for its limestone pavements, fossils embedded in the rock, including sculptured rocks along the shore called ‘biokarst’. A paved road runs along the shore making it ideal for walkers of all ability and age. The Flaggy Shore is an ideal place to find clues about where the ancient ice sheets came – and in what direction the glaciers moved. The clues can be found by looking at the rocks along the shore and identifying the odd one out. Most of the cobbles and boulders along the shore are grey limestone rocks, but some are glacial erratics of other rock types, such as granite or sandstone. Renowned Irish Poet Seamus Heaney pinned a poem about the Flaggy Shore Titled ‘Postscript’ Postscript by Seamus HeaneyAnd some time make the time to drive out west,Into County Clare, along the Flaggy Shore, In September or October, when the wind and the light are working off each other So that the ocean on one side is wild with foam and glitter, and inland among stones The surface of a slate-grey lake is litBy the earthed lightening of flock of swans,Their feathers roughed and ruffling, white on white, Their fully-grown headstrong-looking heads Tucked or cresting or busy underwater. Useless to think you’ll park or capture it More thoroughly. You are neither here nor there, A hurry through which known and strange things pass As big soft buffetings come at the car sideways And catch the heart off guard and blow it open. 🔗 Identity & Technical Layer — schema JSON-LD: identity chains, entity gaps (Identity & Authority)
Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Food, Restaurants & Delivery BS: Linnane's Lobster Bar (www.linnanesbar.com)
Linnane’s Lobster Bar is a refreshingly low-BS operation that backs its regional marketing with hard sourcing data and geographical specificity. It is an authentic local business whose only significant ‘bullshit’ is a lack of modern technical SEO and structured data to validate its real-world authority.
Implement Restaurant and LocalBusiness JSON-LD schema to provide technical validation of the brand’s identity. Assign H1 tags to the homepage and menu pages to correct the broken heading hierarchy. Add a specific ‘Food Hygiene Rating’ badge to the footer to satisfy industry-standard proof expectations. Explicitly name the current head chef or management team in the About Us section to close the human authority gap.
The website perfectly matches the Food, Restaurants & Delivery industry, specifically as a regional seafood-focused gastro-pub. The content provides high-resolution detail regarding oyster varieties, local suppliers, and regional geography within the Burren.
“The score of 21 indicates Minimal BS. The points accrued are primarily from technical identity gaps (Pillar 5) and the use of a few industry cliches like 'Quality Ingredients' (Pillar 4). The site's information density and semantic coherence are exemplary for the restaurant category.”
This training module utilizes a snapshot of public data from Linnane's Lobster Bar, captured on May 19, 2026, to demonstrate how machine logic evaluates different types of business narratives.
