[H2] A Perfect Blend Of Three Casks Our master craftsmen wait for the perfect moment to create a truly trailblazing whiskey, blended from three casks with a trademark taste found in every sip. [H2] Our Indigenous Spirit Whiskey making is an ancient craft that has existed on our island for over a millenia. The techniques existed before written records, and for centuries methods were handed down from generation to generation. The fertile soil and clear water made the Boyne Valley a hive of whiskey crafting and we’re proud to follow in the footsteps of this thousand year old tradition. [H3] Barley An Irish Whiskey deserves an Irish barley. That’s why at Slane Irish Whiskey we use only 100% homegrown Irish barley, much of which we grow on the Conyngham family lands that surround our distillery. [H3] Yeast A corner-stone of the whiskey making process, this makes the magic happen. [H3] Water Situated on the banks of the ancient river Boyne, this soft water with just the right balance of minerals is the source of everything we do. [H2] Production Process Brewing Brewing Fermentation Distillation Maturation Blending [H3] Brewing A key ingredient of our blend, some of our barley is bought in, and some is grown on our very own estate, but it's always Irish. [IMG: Brewing] [H3] Fermentation All of our whiskey washes are fermented in traditional wooden washbacks and fermented longer for a more complex flavour. [IMG: Fermentation] [H3] Distillation Our malt and pot still whiskey are triple-distilled in handcrafted copper stills. [IMG: Distillation] [H3] Maturation After distillation, our whiskey is carefully casked into 3 selected barrels - virgin oak, seasoned Tennessee whiskey and Oloroso sherry, and allowed to mature. [IMG: Maturation] [H3] Blending Once the whiskey is matured, we expertly blend the three cask types together to get Slane Irish Whiskey. Which we then bottle for you to savour. [IMG: Blending] [H2] UNIQUE CHARACTER OF CASKS The unique character of every cask creates a whiskey with a truly trailblazing taste. Triple Cask Blend Virgin Oak [H3] Virgin Cask Medium char, heavy toast, contributes flavours of toasted oak, vanilla Seasoned [H3] Seasoned Cask Tennessee whiskey barrels, contributes flavours of caramel, plum, banana, butterscotch Sherry [H3] Sherry Cask Oloroso sherry casks, contributes flavours of raisin and spice [H2] What is Irish Whiskey? Distilled since the 6th century, Irish Whiskey is one of the oldest – and most revered – spirits in the world. To be classified as Irish Whiskey, it must be distilled and matured on the Island of Ireland, and produced from a mash of that must contain malted cereals, but can also contain whole grains of other cereals. Within these boundaries, there are 4 distinct types of whiskey produced in Ireland. [H2] Types of Irish Whiskey [H3] Irish Pot Still Whiskey Irish Pot Still Whiskey is made from a mash of malted barley, unmalted barley and other unmalted cereals, along with water and yeast. It is distilled in pot stills that lead to the formation of a distinct flavour and aroma in the spirit. It is then matured for a minimum of three years in casks – included those previously used for other spirits such as sherry or bourbon. The character of these casks influences the flavour of the whiskey. [H3] Irish Malt Whiskey Irish Malt Whiskey is made from 100% malted barley, water and yeast. The process is the same as Irish Pot Still Whiskey, it is differentiated by only using malted barley. [H3] Irish Grain Whiskey Irish Grain Whiskey is made using malted barley and includes whole, unmalted cereals such as maize, wheat or barley. It is then distilled – often triple distilled – using column stills. [H3] Irish Blended Whiskey Irish Blended Whiskey is a blend of two or more of the different whiskey types listed above. A master blender will use their experience and knowledge – accumulated over many years of apprenticeship – to create a whiskey with the depth and flavour desired. [IMG: Process - Still]

Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 2707 businesses audited.
Food, Restaurants & Delivery BS: Slane Irish Whiskey (slaneirishwhiskey.com)
Slane Irish Whiskey presents a polished marketing front that succeeds in communicating its technical production process but fails to anchor its heritage and award claims in verifiable evidence. The technical failure of using an age-gate prompt as the H1 on multiple pages suggests a commodity template implementation beneath a premium visual layer. It is a classic case of high-substance production data being buried under high-BS buzzword repetition.
Immediately correct the H1 heading tags on sub-pages to reflect actual content (e.g., Cocktails) instead of the birthdate prompt. List specific spirits competition awards by year and link them to official results pages to substantiate the award-winning claim. Upgrade schema to include Distillery and Person properties for the family founders with sameAs links to historical or professional records. Provide a specific page for Sustainability claims with measurable environmental metrics.
The site fits the spirits and distillery segment of the food and beverage industry. The content focus is on production processes, heritage, and mixology, which aligns with the provided industry patterns despite being a specialized manufacturing entity rather than a restaurant.
“The score of 43 is primarily driven by Information Density and Identity/Authority gaps. The excessive use of the term Trailblazer as a substitute for unique value propositions and the lack of Organization/Distillery schema significantly elevated the score. Semantic Coherence suffered due to technical errors in heading hierarchy, while the Trust pillar was penalized for unsubstantiated award-winning claims.”
