We never use agency staff. Supporting families We’re also here to support families when finding care becomes a family decision. Being a fully regulated company means having to meet stringent quality standards. Reassure yourself before choosing your care provider that they have nationally recognised and accredited carer training as well as robust recruitment and vetting processes. Not all care providers or agencies are regulated. Does your chosen care provider directly employ its carers? Care agencies sometimes facilitate an introduction to a carer but then may look to you to employ that person and manage the care. When a private care provider directly employs its carers, the care will be managed for you and you’ll have peace of mind that you will still receive care if your usual carer is ill. What training and ongoing support do carers receive? The best care providers ensure their carers have nationally recognised training, access to experienced managers and continuous support to equip them to do their job well. What CQC rating has your local service been awarded? Make sure it’s rated Good or Outstanding. SUB-PAGE (https://helpinghands.co.uk/costs-funding/) Costs and Funding: The Cost of Care | Helping Hands Home Care
[H1] Costs and funding [IMG: Costs and funding] [H2] An introduction to home care costings Understanding your home care costs can be daunting; that’s why we try to keep it simple. We understand how stressful it can be organising home care for yourself or a loved one. That’s why we’ll aim to keep things as simple and straightforward as possible when it comes to costs. Depending on your needs, home care costs will vary. Visiting care is charged at an hourly rate with live-in care, or “24-hour care”, quoted on either a daily rate for short-term respite or a weekly rate for ongoing care. We can discuss the level of care that is right for you and whether the cost of home care is financially sustainable for you and your family. [IMG: Two women smiling and pointing at green ivy on a garden wall, one wearing glasses and a yellow jacket, the other with long curly hair in a white shirt, enjoying time together outdoors.] [H2] Our customers trust us because we’re: [H5] Upfront and transparent We’re fully upfront about our home care costs – you’ll only pay whatever is agreed in your care plan, so no hidden fees or long notice periods [H5] Not a care agency Helping Hands are a private care provider rather than a care agency, which means you don’t have to worry about agency fees or retainers [H5] Able to accept direct payments If you’re receiving funding through social services and have opted for direct payments, we’re able to accept top-ups to these payments [H2] An introduction to visiting care costs Looking for flexible support to complement your routines and lifestyle? Recieve all of this and so much more, with prices starting from £32.40 per hour [H5] Bespoke care to fit your needs Our visiting care provides you with bespoke care that enables you to receive the support you need, when you need it – because we know that your care requirements are unique to you [H5] Choose your amount of hours For care from as little as 30 minutes per week all the way up to regular calls every day, visiting care provides you with a flexible support package that gives you the support you need, when you need it [H5] A simplified process From the very start, we’ll give you a clear picture of how much your care will cost – and this will be confirmed once we put a comprehensive plan of care in place to suit your requirements Want to find out how much your care will cost? Calculate my care [H2] An introduction to live-in care costs If you require a more comprehensive package of care, our ongoing live-in care prices start from £1,675 per week for one person. [H5] A more intensive care service Live-in care could be the ideal solution if you require someone to assist you round-the-clock with your care needs but don’t wish to move to a residential nursing home or hospice [H5] Tailored to your exact needs Your very own live-in carer will provide one-to-one support tailored to your exact requirements – for example if you have a type of dementia – giving you peace of mind that you’ll always be supported [H5] Support as long as you need it Live-in care can either be for a sustained amount of time with no planned end date, or in the form of respite care, which is for short-term solutions lasting less than four weeks [H2] Can I get financial support to pay for my care? In England, the threshold above which you’ll have to pay for your care in full is £23,250. If your assets, including most investments and savings, are greater than £23,250, your local authority will consider you able pay for your care yourself. It is worth noting that for integrated care within your own home, the value of your property will not be taken into account. If you’re uncertain about your status, you can request a Financial Assessment from your local council to see if you qualify for help towards your care costs. Your assessment will be an evaluation of your financial means, and will calculate whether: The council pays for your care in full The council pays for some of your care You pay for all of your care [IMG: A carer helps an older man put on a grey dressing gown in a cosy bedroom. The carer wears a light purple uniform, and the man is dressed in navy blue pyjamas. A wooden chest of drawers and a mirror are visible in the background.] [H2] What does support from Helping Hands look like? Wondering whether care at home is worth it? Hear from two of our customers, Helen and Hannah, as they share how having a Helping Hands carer has transformed their life and given them them added independence and confidence. [IMG: A woman with blonde hair in a blue shirt smiles at a table with a plate of food and a glass of white wine. In the background, a man sits at another table, talking on a phone.] [H5] Helen Live-in care customer Read Helen's story It is important to be able to access your local community in order to feel connected, so we place prominence of selecting assistants who are confident in helping you travel. Helen (pictured here), a live-in customer, has enjoyed a number of holidays along with the help of her carer. She has been able to visit her local marina and go away to Lake District to make the most of some sunny weather. The option to get out and about is a very inviting one and this is amplified when the responsibility of driving is taken off your shoulders. Our personal assistants can help you get to different places through using your own car. You will still be surrounded by your own belongings but can sit back and relax as you travel to your destination together. Navigating public transport can sometimes seem daunting as it relies heavily on specific times and locations. However, it can be made easier if you have someone to share the responsibility with. Checking through timetables together and getting to the bus stop or train station in time can start to feel exciting rather than a chore. [IMG: Two young women smiling outdoors in a grassy park, one sitting in a wheelchair and the other standing beside her. Trees and a brick building are visible in the background on a sunny day.] [H5] Hannah Visiting care customer Read Hannah's story Meet Hannah, a bright and bubbly 27-year-old with a great sense of humour and positive outlook on life. She loves music and was even lucky enough to watch the Rolling Stones live at the London Stadium in 2018! She also lives with cerebral palsy and has done since birth. Since starting care with Helping Hands in March, she describes her experience as “life-changing”. Hannah attended mainstream school and led an active life just like any other child. Yet in September 2018, Hannah’s condition dramatically changed. Hannah had her nineteenth operation to remove metal work placed during a reconstruction which was threatening to break through the skin. Unfortunately, she was left with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in her leg – a chronic pain condition that causes a significant amount of pain that is confined to a specific area. Dana, an hourly carer from our Tunbridge Wells branch, began visiting Hannah once a week in March 2019 and it has totally transformed Hannah’s life. Instead of only having hospital appointments as a regular means of leaving her house, she now looks forward to Mondays, which is when Dana visits her. One thing that Hannah requested was for Dana not to wear her uniform when she accompanied her out in the community. She also doesn’t refer to Dana as her carer, but as her personal assistant or PA. It was important to Hannah as a young person that she could feel comfortable with Dana and that she wasn’t being judged. Hannah says: “Monday is my one day of normality each week and I really look forward to it. Dana and I really like each other and there’s always so much laughter between us!” [H2] Self funding home care The majority of our families are paying for their care privately. We appreciate that this isn’t always straightforward for every customer, so we can sit down with you and your loved ones to work out a care plan and payment plan that allows you to receive the support you really need at the times when you’d find it most beneficial. And, of course, your care can always be adapted whenever your needs or preferences change. [IMG: An older man with white hair and a beard, wearing a dark blue dressing gown, sits and smiles while holding an open book. He looks up at a person standing nearby, who is partially visible.] [H2] Benefits can help with care costs You may be eligible for benefits which can help towards the cost of your care. When considering your best options for funding care, it’s important to ensure that all state benefit entitlements are explored. The benefits available to you will depend on your personal situation and needs, and can help you pay for the support you need. [IMG: A smiling carer in a purple uniform sits outdoors, speaking with an elderly person. There is a potted plant with pink flowers on the table between them.] Contact us to discuss your care options 0330 037 6958 Request a callback [H3] A fully regulated home care provider [H6] Here at Helping Hands, our service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) This means we need to consistently meet high standards and are monitored by our regulators. [IMG: Care Quality Commission logo with a large purple letter Q on the left and the words Care Quality Commission in grey text to the right.] Visit Care Quality Commission [IMG: Care Inspectorate Wales logo with bilingual text: Arolygiaeth Gofal Cymru and Care Inspectorate Wales beside a blue and green circular design on a white background.] Visit Care Inspectorate Wales [H3] Why is being a regulated care provider important? Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Healthcare Providers & Medical Clinics BS: Helping Hands Home Care (helpinghands.co.uk)
Helping Hands Home Care delivers a masterclass in low-BS healthcare communication by leading with pricing transparency and regulatory accountability. It avoids the common industry trap of ‘sentimental fluff’ by providing the hard logistics—costs, asset thresholds, and employment status—that families actually need. The only crack in the substance is a minor template glitch in the homepage counter section.
Fix the ‘John and Margot’ data counter on the homepage to display the actual branch and carer counts instead of placeholder zeros. Implement specific Person schema for Rebecca Bennett and Emma Pearson to further strengthen the digital authority of the named experts. Replace the vague H2 ‘Live well in the home you love’ with a more descriptive, keyword-rich heading like ‘Regulated Nationwide Home and Live-in Care.’ Consolidate the repeated CQC regulation blocks in the footer to reduce redundancy and improve the information-to-repetition ratio.
The website perfectly aligns with the Healthcare Providers category, specifically focusing on domiciliary and live-in care. The content demonstrates a high degree of medical and regulatory awareness, citing specific UK health thresholds and governing bodies like the CQC.
“The exceptionally low score of 16 is primarily driven by the 'Costs and Funding' page, which provides rare pricing transparency and clear social care funding thresholds. The Semantic Coherence and Trust pillars earned near-zero scores due to the perfect alignment between homepage promises and sub-page evidence. Points were only marginally accrued for industry-standard cliches and a minor technical data-omission on the homepage.”
