Born in Iraq in 1970. Medicine runs in the family, as Dr Salman’s mother is a paediatrician and his sister in an onco-plastic breast surgeon. He completed his pre-med in Texas, USA. He then moved to Ireland and did Medicine in UCD, Dublin and graduated with Honours in surgery. Dr. Salman has been practicing in this field since 2000, when he founded Auralia Clinic.
He completed his general surgery training in Ireland and afterwards he returned to the USA to train under the renowned Dr. Michael E. DeBakey in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Methodist Hospital in Houston. It was during this time that Dr. Salman decided to branch into the area of Aesthetic plastic Surgery. He then went to Australia to receive further training in Breast Surgery and returned to Texas to complete specialist training in the John Tebbett technique for Breast surgery.
Passionate and innovatory about his work, Dr. Salman has practiced as an Aesthetic surgeon in Ireland since founding Auralia. Auralia was established as a specialized day surgery centre and was the first of its kind in Ireland. It encompasses state of the art operating facilities and is accredited by CHKS. This operating facility incorporates Dr. Salman’s beloved Auralia Cosmetics, the leading cosmetic surgery provider in Ireland with clinics in Kilkenny, Limerick and Dublin. He is Ireland’s leading expert in cosmetic/aesthetic surgery and is registered with the Irish Medical Council – No : 20406.
He performs over 2000 Aesthetic surgery procedures annually. He was the first cosmetic surgeon to introduce the Biodynamic Breast augmentation system to Ireland, and the first to use it in Ireland and the UK.
He has a special interest in the Internal Mastopexy Technique and has vast experience in the area of laser aesthetics and Tumescent liposuction.

Mr John Loy is a Consultant Upper GI and Bariatric Surgeon in Auralia, Ireland where he
is lead bariatric surgeon and head of the bariatric unit.
After medical school in Belfast, Mr Loy went on to complete higher surgical training in the
UK, specialising in Upper GI and Bariatric surgery. He has extensive training at Royal
College of Surgeons Fellowship level in both weight loss surgery and advanced keyhole
surgery. With over 10 years experience at Consultant level and as one of the highest
volume UK weight loss surgeons, John is delighted to bring his vast experience in
metabolic and weight loss surgery from Harley Street London to Dublin. He has performed
over 2000 bariatric procedures including gastric sleeve, bypass and complex revisional
surgery for those with bariatric complications from surgery performed abroad. He is an
accredited surgical trainer, having been appointed Royal College of Surgeons College
Tutor for his London hospital and higher surgical trainer for the London Deanery.
Mr Loy has a special research interest in obesity related fatty liver disease and
collaborates on this with the renowned Blizard Institute in London. This work lead to his
recent appointment as Honorary Senior Lecturer in Surgery at Queen Mary University,
London. He has authored book chapters and research articles on weight loss surgery and
continues to teach and lecture at national and international conferences.
Mr Loy spent a year working in the world-renowned NYU Langone Medical Centre in New
York with Professors George Fielding and Professor Christine Ren Fielding. Some of the
best practices he learned in New York have carried through to his work both in the UK and
here in Ireland. Most importantly, John prides himself on his personal approach to each
