[H2] 1944 Tanfana awarded Red Carpet Lady’s Watch
Bart and Tim are proud to announce that the 1944 Tanfana has been awarded 'Red Carpet Lady’s Watch' at the TEMPORIS International Awards 2025.Creating the Tanfana was far from easy — it challenged us, inspired us, and pushed us forward. That is why it means so much that the Temporis judges see in it the same beauty and significance that we do.We are deeply honoured to receive this award and to take it home to Oldenzaal in the Netherlands. It will proudly stand alongside the Temporis Award we were fortunate to receive in 2016.This recognition is not only for us, but for everyone who made it possible: our family, our suppliers, our incredible team, and, most importantly, the people who give life to our work — the customers who wear a Grönefeld watch with pride.Read more about the 1944 TanfanaSourceall newS postsall AwardsBART AND TIM UNVEIL THE 1941 QUADRIVIUMSeven Masterpieces, One Collector's Set: 7 SinsWij zoeken horlogemaker(s)1944 Tanfana. [H2] BART AND TIM UNVEIL THE 1941 QUADRIVIUM
Bart and Tim Grönefeld were pleased to exhibit at the record-breaking 2026 edition of Watches and Wonders, held from 14 to 20 April in Geneva. A total of 60,000 visitors from across the globe attended this year’s showcase of horological novelties. At the Grönefeld booth, Bart and Tim, together with the fourth generation, presented the “7 Sins” project, created in collaboration with master engraver Kees Engelbarts. This exceptional set of seven unique watches has since found a new owner. Yet this remarkable project was not the only new creation from the Grönefeld brothers…After years of sustained demand for some of its most celebrated and now discontinued timepieces, including the One Hertz, the Parallax Tourbillon, and the Remontoire, Grönefeld introduces a new pinnacle of complicated high horology: the Grönefeld 1941 Quadrivium. “Quadrivium” originates in classical scholarship: arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy, four foundational disciplines understood as an integrated whole. Here, it alludes to the four mechanical complications that define this timepiece. Bringing together the essence of these iconic creations, the 1941 Quadrivium unites four of the brand’s most admired complications within a single, extraordinary watch. Developed entirely from the ground up, it features a 7.5-seconds remontoire, a one-minute flying tourbillon, central jumping seconds, and a power reserve indicator, all driven by a movement equipped with serially connected concentric twin barrels. It is both a technical and artistic achievement, already earning the affectionate nickname: “Grönefeld’s Greatest Hits.” Crafted with the utmost precision and attention to detail, the Premiere Edition will be limited to 28 pieces, each housed in a 1941 tantalum case measuring 40.0 mm in diameter and 11.3 mm in height. Following the delivery of the Premiere Edition, a limited series of 28 pieces in platinum is also planned. In a rare preview, the 1941 Quadrivium was presented under strict embargo during Watches and Wonders Geneva to a select group of collectors and members of the press. As the timepiece was completed just one day prior to the exhibition, no official photography was available at that time, and guests were kindly asked not to take photographs. This deliberate decision allowed Grönefeld to offer an exclusive first look while preserving the impact of the official imagery, which will be unveiled during the online press release scheduled for the end of 2026.DESCRIPTION OF THE 1941 QUADRIVIUMThe case follows the 1941 design language (as seen in the Grönograaf)40.0 mm in diameter and 11.3 mm in heightFrosted main dial with hand-bevelled stainless steel elements and polished, multi-faceted white gold hour markersBlued steel handsRaised one-minute flying tourbillon cage at 6 o’clockExposed governor rotating every 7.5 seconds at 9 o’clockLarge central jumping seconds handPower reserve indicator (50 hours) at 10 o’clockHours and minutes displayed at 2 o’clockSapphire exhibition case back revealing the elaborately finished movement and its 473 componentsPremiere Edition of 28 pieces in tantalum, followed by a limited edition of 28 pieces in platinumWith prices of €280,000 in tantalum and €310,000 in platinum (excluding taxes), the 1941 Quadrivium reflects the exceptional craftsmanship and complexity behind its creation.Deliveries of the Premiere Edition are scheduled to commence between late 2026 and early 2027.If this 1941 Quadrivium awakened your interest, please contact Bart and Tim at info@gronefeld.com. Your Diagnosis

Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.

Information Density 0 / 30
Read the Narrative & headings: do hard facts (prices, dates, numbers) outweigh fluff power-words?
Semantic Coherence 0 / 20
Compare the homepage promise against the sub-page reality. Do they hold the same line?
Trust & Proof 0 / 20
Weigh review mentions against actual external proof links. Claims without verification = theatre.
Commodity Fingerprint 0 / 15
Check headings & narrative against the industry clichés in the setup above.
Identity & Authority 0 / 15
Inspect the schema: is there real Organization/Person identity with sameAs links, or gaps?
Your predicted BS score 0 / 100
💡 Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)

These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.

Information Density

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Semantic Alignment

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Trust & Proof

Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.

Commodity Fingerprint

Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.

Identity & Authority

Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.

Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

9 BS / 100

Grönefeld provides a masterclass in low-BS luxury communication by replacing ‘timeless elegance’ with ‘serially connected concentric twin barrels.’ The site functions more like a technical archive for collectors than a marketing funnel, with its primary ‘call to action’ being an admission that they are currently unable to accept orders.

To achieve a near-zero score, replace the remaining generic H2 headers with specific technical or historical milestones. Add a dedicated ‘Aftercare and Maintenance’ page to provide hallmarking and assay office details as suggested in the industry proof expectations. Formalize the ‘7 Sins’ project page with explicit material certifications for the metals used in the tantalum and platinum editions.

The site is an exact match for the High-End Horology and Luxury segment. The content bypasses generic jewelry fluff in favor of deep mechanical specifications and artisanal terminology characteristic of elite watchmaking.

“The score of 9 is driven primarily by minor concept repetition in the 'Horological Brothers' narrative and the use of common luxury power words in non-technical headings. The site is otherwise a benchmark for substance-led luxury branding, with an Information Density score of 5/30 and near-zero scores in all other pillars.”
