Hi Pen Fans! This weekend is the Chicago Pen Show! We’ve been super busy over the last month or so making pens for our inventory, and we’ll be bringing well over 400 pens with us as part of our Current Inventory for purchase at the show, or after the show if you cannot attend. We will also be bringing a special Limited Edition Beaumont that is exclusive to the show! This pen is made from one of Jonathon Brooks’ best, if you ask me – Primary Manipulation, Version 4! The material is pretty amazing in its colors and patterns. We have engraved the cap band to denote the 2026 Chicago Pen Show, as well as the edition number on the opposite side. [H4] The Edition will be limited to only 10 pens. At past pen shows, our LE exclusives have sold pretty fast. Not everyone can attend each day of the show, and many cannot get off work to attend Friday. For this reason, we will limit our Friday sales of this LE to 7 pens only, and our Saturday sales to 3 pens. It will be first come, first served each day. [H4] This pen will be $235 with a steel nib (normally $295 if purchased as a custom version). Of course, in addition to this exclusive pen, we’ll be bringning more than 400 pens as part of our Current Inventory. At the bottom of this page, you will see a slideshow displaying every pen that we’ll be bringing to the show. However, I’ll also include links below so that you can see each specific model that will be coming to the show with us.CLICK HERE FOR ALL PENSALL JAMESONSALL COLLIER GRANDESALL ELYSIANSALL MENLOSALL PEARLSALL COMETSALL BEAUMONTSALL HERALDSALL BROCKTONS ALL GLENMONTSALL #76’sALL COLLIERSALL MINASALL PEARLETTESSo our Current Inventory Galleries have been updated with lots of new pens that will be available at the show. We’ve been super busy over the last month or so making pens for our inventory, and we’ll be bringing well over 400 pens with us as part of our Current Inventory for purchase at the show, or after the show if you cannot attend. But we will also be bringing a special Limited Edition Elysian that is exclusive to the show! This pen is made from a fantastic material coming from a material maker that we’ve been using more and more lately! This material was made by Lisa Marie Bradley with Pourly Controlled. The material is called Copper Patina. As you can see, we’ve outfitted these Elysians with a very nice Rose Gold Band and Rose Gold Nib to compliment the Copper Patina material. We have engraved the cap band with a graphic denoting the 2026 Baltimore Pen Show, as well as the edition number on the opposite side. [H3] Read the article by CLICKING HERE (linked with permission). When Pen World approached us, I was so happy to learn that Barry Gabay was assigned to this article! Andrea and I have been at this for more than 18 years now, and we remember Barry being around for our first pen show! So I’m honestly not even sure how long Barry has been at it, but certainly longer than us! Barry became a good friend over the years, and there was truly no one better qualified with a deeper understanding of Edison throughout the years and how we have evolved from the very beginning. The article covers Edison from our genesis 18+ years ago when I was working out of our garage, all the way to today. But Barry gets even more in-depth with our backgrounds before pens, how we established ourselves before social media even existed, how we handled growth, hired more, our employee atmosphere, and how we moved to our larger, current facility. I want the thank Barry as well as Nicky Pessaroff (editor-in-chief who has been with Pen World since 2001), for allowing us some space in the magazine! It was quite flattering when we were approached. Lastly, I do feel obligated to let everyone know how I feel about Pen World and what I’ve observed over my years of manufacturing pens. Pen World has been around since 1987, so coming up on 40 years! And as long as I’ve been at this, Pen World has been such an amazing asset to the pen community. They cover topics from basic beginner pens all the way up to expensive luxury pens. From the largest manufacturers to the smallest independent makers. Of course, they cover modern pens, but their coverage of vintage pens is equally impressive. And considering that no one can make every pen show, you will always find coverage of what you might have missed at the last few shows, along with learning of the upcoming shows. If you don’t already subscribe to Pen World, I encourage you to give it consideration. Or at least pick up the latest issue (print or digital) and get a feel for what they are about. I think that you’ll find that their content speaks for itself and that they deserve your support in an age when print media of such high quality content could certainly use it. Again, thanks to Nicky, Barry, and Pen World! Please let us know your thoughts after reading the article!Brian at Edison I am very happy to announce that we have refreshed the Production Line Collier with a new material – Ancient Orchid! This is a new material that we have never used before in any pen.Ancient Orchid is somewhat similar to our very popular Antique Marble version of the Collier, but with purple shades. So if you enjoy the mildly translucent qualities of Antique Marble combined with nice black striated accents, but in a purple shade, this material should be right up your alley! Ancient Orchid will be in addition the current lineup of the Collier materials. So it will not be replacing any of the current Collier material choices. This means that the available Collier materials will now be Ancient Orchid, Rock Candy, Antique Marble, Nighthawk, and Persimmon Swirl, as you can see below. This pen is part of our Production Line, so you will not buy these directly from Edison. [H3] You can purchase this pen through any of our retailers listed here. We are very excited to introduce this new material. Please let us know your thoughts on this pen!And please reach out with any questions!Brian at EdisonHi Pen Fans!We are very happy to announce a Holiday Themed Limited Edition Collier for Small Business Saturday! As part of the Holiday Theme, we were able to put together a really neat custom engraving on the nib. This engraving is a snowflake made up of Edison logos! Edison Snowflake! This material is Arctic Fox made by Lisa Marie with Pourly Controlled. We’ve been using more and more of Lisa Marie’s materials and we couldn’t be happier! When we first saw this material from Lisa Marie, we instantly thought of snow and winter. So we’ve been hoarding this material the last few months specifically for the Holidays! [H3] This will be a smaller Limited Edition of only 20 pens These pens are converter fillers. They will come with a Steel nib in your choice of EF, F, M, B, BB, 1.1mm, 1.5mm, Extra Fine Flex, or Fine Flex tip sizes. [H3] The price of this pen will be $250. If purchased as a custom version, the normal price would be $295. [H2] THE edition is sold out Hi Pen Fans! This weekend is the Ohio Pen Show! We’ll be bringing an Exclusive Limited Edition Elysian with the option of our Rollerball Combination setup for those that would be interested in having both a fountain pen and a rollerball in the same pen! This pen is made from a fantastic material coming from a material maker that is pretty new to us! This design will allow the grip section to house a Fountain Pen Nib and also a Rollerball Nosecone within the same unit. This fountain pen/rollerball combination option will be compatible with all of our models that use a #6 sized nib. This includes the Collier, Beaumont, Elysian, Menlo, Brockton, Comet, Glenmont, Morgan, #76, Pearl, and Herald. We will supply Uniball 207 Gel Refills, but Pilot G2’s, Pentel LR7’s, and many other G2 style refills are compatible. [H4] This gives us three options to offer... Option #1Purchase new pen with FP/RB Combination Section. I have been able to engineer this in such a way that there are no compromises between the two configurations. In other words, the fountain pen configuration still retains the internal structure required to fully support the fountain pen nib housing. If you are interested in purchasing a ready-to-ship Currently Inventoried pen with this Rollerball option, we can do this. However, we will most likely need to manufacture the combination-style section. So rather than shipping immediately, please allow 1-2 business days.At the time of publishing this announcement, we only have these rollerball nosecone options in rhodium (silver tone). However, gold versions are on the way and should be here within 4-6 weeks. Full details are within the video above, but please email me with any questions!Brian at EdisonLove this new option! Now to checkout current inventory for my nee pen!Hi Brian,Thanks for the detailed video! You gave us some great insight into your design process, and I think the rollerball option opens your market to new customers (or to some of us die-hard fountain pen fans who nevertheless need a roller ball or similar once in a while. It is also great that this option is open to all of your #6 sections, which gives customers a lot of models to choose from.Keep up the innovations! Thanks Kevin! It’s been an exciting feature to engineer, and it’s really neat how it works so seamlessly between both configurations. And yes, most of our customers are hardcore fountain pen enthusiasts with little interest in rollerballs. But the same customers oftentimes ask me about a fine pen for their friend or relative who might find a fountain pen impractical. And for those people, of course, they could start with a nice rollerball, and then over time switch the same pen to a fountain pen if they wish! Thanks for the kind words. – Brian at EdisonThanks SJ Wilka! Let me know if I can help in narrowing some options! – Brian at EdisonHi, will you be doing any other pens in future in the poorly controlled Cold Plasma? That is just stunning! I am in Maryland but world gladly order a custom one if that is an option! Thank you!Hi Sharon. Yes, we can use Cold Plasma in any custom pen. We have leftovers from the LE pen but Cold Plasma will also be a regular offering of ours from now on. If you are interested, you can email brian@edisonpen.com and we can narrow some details if you like. – Brian [H2] Leave a Reply
SUB-PAGE (https://edisonpen.com/index.cfm/category/current-inventory/) Current Inventory Archives – Edison Pen Co
As always, this show is certainly one of the biggest and best! We will have well over 35 custom Elysians coming with us to the show. However, rest assured that this is not the norm. To the best of our abilities, not having a special exclusive pen at a show will be one-time thing. Our apologies! Hi Pen Fans! We’re excited to return to the Chicago Pen Show this weekend! We will be bringing a Limited Edition version of our most recent model….the Elysian! This Elysian will be made from Jonathon Brooks Nebula, which is an Edison-exclusive recipe. We have also added a pretty cool engraving to the centerband. The Elysian is a model that we just introduced in late 2024, and it has been amazingly popular! See here for all details regarding this newer model. This LE pen is exclusive to attendees of the Chicago Pen Show. By looking closely at the centerband, you can see that we have added a special engraving specific to the Chicago Pen Show. This is a stylized version of the Chicago skyline! [H4] The Edition will be limited to only 12 pens. At past pen shows, our LE exclusives have sold pretty fast. Not everyone can attend each day of the show, and many cannot get off work to attend Friday. For this reason, we will limit our Friday sales of this LE to 8 pens only, and our Saturday sales to 4 pens. It will be first come, first served each day. [H4] This pen will be $250 with a Steel nib or $350 with an 18k nib. Outside of this Limited Edition pen, of course, we’ll be bringing lots and lots of our current inventory. We have been very busy making inventory specifically for this show. In fact, we’ll be bringing more than 400 pens! And of course, we will be bringing lots of custom Elysians. As of typing this, we are on par to be packing up around 35 custom Elysians for the show.So our Current Inventory Galleries have been updated with lots of new pens that will be available at the show, but we still have a few more photos of inventoried pens to add later today. If you can’t attend the Chicago show this weekend, any pens that don’t sell at the show will be available when we return. Feel free to email me with an inquiry if something appeals. You can see a slidehow of all current inventory pens at the bottom of this post, or click here.We hope to see you this weekend!Brian at Edison Hi Pen Fans!We are very happy to announce that we have partnered with a new craft material maker!Tim Crowe with Turnt Pen Co has been on our radar for a while now. Over the last couple of years, we’ve had more than a few customers send us his materials for custom orders. Every time that we used his materials, they definitely got our attention! Below are a few examples, but there’s lots more to see! Elysian in Crowe Cinder and Smoke Collier in Crowe Arizona Abalone Collier in Tim Crowe Carson 30 Elysian in Crowe Copper SulfateDigging deeper into Tim’s catalog of materials uncovered a lot of great stuff that we just couldn’t resist! So as of now, we will be keeping regular inventory of Tim’s materials. This includes raw materials ready to make custom pens from and also pens that are currently inventoried and ready to ship.CLICK HERE TO SEE ALL PENS THAT WE’VE MADE FROM TIM’S MATERIALS SO FAR, WITH MANY MORE TO COME! Additionally, we have lots of new pens added to our Current Inventory Galleries that are ready to ship with no waiting! The vast majority of these pens were intended to be inventory for the Baltimore Pen Show, but many of you know that we decided to back out of the show this year, but we will be back next year. But this also means that rather than these pens being sold at the Baltimore Show, they are now ready to purchase from our Current Inventory! The Elysian has been very popular, to the point that we’ve had trouble keeping them inventoried and ready to ship. So there are now lots of currently inventoried Elysians to choose from!CLICK HERE TO SEE ALL PENS THAT ARE CURRENTLY INVENTORIED AND READY TO SHIPCLICK HERE TO SEE ALL ELYSIANS THAT ARE CURRENTLY INVENTORIED AND READY TO SHIPCLICK HERE TO SEE ALL PENS MADE FROM A TIM CROWE MATERIAL THAT ARE CURRENTLY INVENTORIED AND READY TO SHIPYou can also watch the slideshow below to see all of our pens that are ready to ship with no waiting. If any of the pens linked in this post are of interest, feel free to email me to narrow down options! Thanks!Brian at Edison Hi Pen Fans!We are packed up and will be heading east for the Baltimore Pen Show very soon!In addition to well over 400 pens for our normal inventory, we’ll be bringing a Limited Edition that is exclusive to the Baltimore Pen Show! This pen will be a Beaumont in Tim McKenzie Teal/Blue Color Shift with Rose Gold hardware. There are a few features about this pen that are pretty unique. One is the fact that the color actually changes and the next is rose gold hardware!Tim’s Color Shift material has been a mystery to me since we first started using it as it literally changes colors! I have no idea how Tim does this, but it’s such a cool effect that you really can’t photograph. Only video can kind of come close to doing this material justice. From one angle, the pen is a teal/greenish color. Then as you adjust the angle in the light, you’ll see that the pen gradually changes to blue/purplish! See below or click this link.https://edisonpen.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/ColorShift-540.mp4Additionally, you might notice that the color of this material under our facility lighting can even look a bit different than in our photo studio lighting! It also takes on a slightly different appearance in sunlight. In the end, it’s an amazing and dynamic material that needs to be seen live.Next, we chose to use Rose Gold hardware. This is only the second time in our history that we’ve offered Rose Gold, but it won’t be the last! The edition will be limited to 12 pens. These pens will be priced at $275 with the Rose Gold Steel nib in EF, F, M, B, 1.1mm or 1.5mmOutside of this Limited Edition pen, of course, we’ll be bringing lots and lots of our normal inventory. Click Here to see our entire inventory of over 400 pens that will be coming to Baltimore with us. In addition to the Limited Edition from Tim’s material, we will also have other pens inventoried from his materials, as well as pens from other craft material makers like Jonathon Brooks and Jenn Earley. Click Here to see all pens made from handcrafted materials that will be coming to the show made by Tim, Jennifer, and Jonathon. If you can’t make the pen show, our Current Inventory Galleries have been updated with lots of new pens. Any pens

Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 685 businesses audited.
Edison Pen Co has 36.2 points less BS than the average for Jewelry, Luxury & High-End Goods.
Jewelry, Luxury & High-End Goods BS: Edison Pen Co (edisonpen.com)
This is a rare example of a ‘Zero-BS’ artisanal business. The site functions as a workshop log rather than a marketing brochure, providing technical specifications and operational transparency that make it nearly impossible to detect any semantic drift or deceptive signaling.
Consolidate the repeated H2 headings on archive pages into a better SEO structure to improve accessibility. Add structured data (Product Schema) to individual Limited Edition posts to reflect pricing and availability formally. Consider adding a ‘Materials’ glossary to link material makers like Jonathon Brooks to their specific ‘recipes’ to further increase internal linking and proof of sourcing.
The site is an exact match for the luxury writing instrument niche within the High-End Goods category. Content consistently focuses on artisanal manufacturing, specific material sourcing, and technical specifications for fountain and rollerball pens.
“The score of 6 reflects a nearly total absence of bullshit. Minor points were only deducted for technical template artifacts (H2 repetition) and the lack of comprehensive 'Organization' schema properties like founder and brand expertise in all page headers. Information Density and Semantic Coherence scored nearly perfect due to the extreme specificity of the artisanal content.”
