SUB-PAGE (https://hillel.org/StrategicPlan/) The Future of Jewish Belonging on Campus – Hillel International’s Strategic Plan
[H1] The Future of Jewish Belonging on Campus [H2] Hillel International Strategic Plan | 2025-2028 This is a time like no other for Jewish life on campus — a moment when Jewish college students are facing an unprecedented crisis of belonging. Since the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, Jewish students have encountered the greatest challenges to their well-being and inclusion on college and university campuses in recent memory. And at the same time, record numbers of Jewish students have flocked to Hillel seeking a warm and embracing campus community, and the deep connection to one another and to joyful, inclusive Jewish experiences that only Hillel can provide. Read more… At Hillel International, we have tracked and responded to historically high levels of antisemitic incidents involving discrimination, intimidation, harassment, and even physical assault directed at Jewish and Israeli students. While unprecedented in their frequency and intensity, these incidents are the culmination of decades of campaigns to demonize and delegitimize Israel, and efforts to marginalize Jewish students because of their connections to Israel as an essential aspect of their Jewish identities. As a result, since October 7th more than 40% of Jewish undergraduates report feeling the need to hide their Jewish identity. As a Jewish community, that is something we must change. During this pivotal moment, Jewish college students need a safe and welcoming community on campus that provides them with unconditional support. They need a place where they know they belong, and are always included. A place filled with Jewish joy – not judgement. They need Hillel. As the world’s largest Jewish campus organization, Hillel is uniquely prepared and positioned to address the challenges and unlock the opportunities for our students today, tomorrow, and into the future. At its core, our strategic plan The Future of Jewish Belonging on Campus is not just a roadmap for impact—it is a blueprint for transformation. This plan positions Hillel professionals as mentors inspiring and guiding students through a sacred and essential journey. It reflects our belief in the power of Jewish life not only to respond to a moment, but to shape the next generation of connected, confident, and courageous Jewish adults. And it ensures a future where every Jewish student knows that they belong on campus. It’s a vision of the future that this strategic plan will transform from a vision into a reality—and we are grateful for your support at every step along the way. With gratitude, Adam Lehman President and CEO Lee Dranikoff Chair, Board of Directors Matthew Bronfman Chair, Board of Governors Listen to the letter from Hillel International leadership: 0:00 [H2] The Change We’ll Make Together, we will build vibrant and joyful Jewish student communities and overcome the current crisis of belonging that many Jewish students are experiencing on campus today — so that every Jewish student feels like they belong. PILLAR 1 [H1] Growing Jewish Joy and Connection [H2] Expanding and Strengthening Jewish Communal Engagement By increasing opportunities to engage in joyful, meaningful Jewish experiences together on campus and across the Hillel movement, students will feel a meaningful sense of belonging within a campus Jewish community. PILLAR 2 [H1] Ensuring Jewish Inclusion and Resilience [H2] Addressing Antisemitism and Promoting Jewish Pride We invest in holistic efforts to create campus environments where Jewish students feel confident, supported, and resilient in expressing their Jewish identities, and fully included across campus. This work goes beyond responding to threats—it’s about empowering students and professionals with the tools, partnerships, and strategies to both improve campus climates and grow Jewish student resilience. PILLAR 3 [H1] Inspiring Committed Jewish Leaders and Builders [H2] Empowering More Students to Create, Build, and Lead Across campuses and the Hillel movement, we’re cultivating connected networks of student leaders who see Jewish life as something they can shape—not just experience. By catalyzing this new wave of empowered Jewish community builders, we will ensure strong pipelines of future rabbis, educators, communal professionals, lay leaders, donors, and broader community leaders who will shape and secure the Jewish future. [H1] Participation in Hillel Programs, Events, and Services is Surging For more than 100 years, Hillel has been the world’s largest and most future-forward Jewish campus organization, paving a pathway for college students to celebrate and participate in Jewish life on the more than 850 campuses that Hillel serves. Over the past decade, Hillel has implemented a number of successful funder-supported strategies and initiatives that have significantly expanded the organization’s reach and impact, doubling the total number of students engaged by Hillel from 93,000 to 189,000 in just 10 years. Even as the new strategic plan elevates our focus on the three pillars to support The Future of Jewish Belonging on Campus, we will continue to invest in these core strategies that have supported Hillel’s exponential growth and success during the past decade. [H1] Thank You to Our Supporters We are deeply grateful to our students, parents, alumni, professionals, volunteer leaders, and growing network of supporters who make Hillel’s work possible. Your dedication has enabled us to create vibrant Jewish life on college and university campuses around the world from one generation to the next, and the next, and the next for 102 years—and counting. Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.

Religion, Spirituality & Faith Organizations BS: Hillel International (hillel.org)
Hillel International provides a masterclass in institutional transparency, anchoring nearly every ‘vibrant’ claim in audited-style growth metrics and historical longevity. The BS score is driven only by minor technical schema gaps and the occasional use of award-winning cliches without direct attribution. This is a high-substance, low-fluff digital presence.
Add specific attribution and links for the ‘award-winning’ claims on the recruitment page to move beyond generic trust signals. Enhance the JSON-LD schema to include Person properties for named executives with sameAs links to their LinkedIn or official bios. Convert the internal review_count markers into verified links to third-party platforms like GreatNonprofits or Glassdoor to eliminate minor trust theatre markers.
The site strongly aligns with the Religion, Spirituality & Faith Organizations category, specifically focusing on Jewish campus life and communal identity. The content balances spiritual heritage with modern student advocacy and community-building programs, confirming its role as a religious non-profit.
“The score of 20 reflects a site that is significantly more substantive than the industry average. The pillars of Information Density and Trust and Proof are the main contributors, primarily due to the rare combination of high-level 'movement' language and granular, quantitative performance metrics. Semantic Coherence is near-perfect, as the strategic plan serves as a literal evidence locker for the homepage's promises.”
