[H2] About Yakima Seventh-day Church [H2] About Seventh-day Adventists The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant church with approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America. The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people everywhere and to let people know that Jesus is coming again soon. Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father’s will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone. When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day. Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything—the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us—is part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him. FIND OUT MORE

We welcome you to attend the free introduction session to see if this educational and small group support program is a good fit for you! If it is, we will order your materials (books and testing) upon payment. Payment is by cash or check only. The program begins March 9, 2026 and will meet every Monday evening from 6:30-8:30 for 8 weeks. Dr. Neil Nedley is an internal medicine physician who found nearly 1/3 of the patients coming into his office for various symptoms also struggled with depression. He knew lifestyle impacted many chronic diseases, and so researched options to enhance mental/emotional health. As more patients came to him for this primary purpose, he realized he could not see them all individually. The residential and community-based programs have allowed him to reach as many as 10,000 participants with this message of hope. Some non-depressed people attend the program to achieve their peak mental performance! The program runs 8 weeks on Monday evenings and covers topics such as how to: Manage stress Identify depression and anxiety and their causes Achieve peak mental performance Improve your emotional intelligence Eat for optimal brain function Overcome addictions Enhance your energy levels and mood Defeat depression and anxiety These are not therapy sessions, but an educational lifestyle program that encourages you to focus on and implement one or more interventions each week at home. In addition, you will be encouraged to read a couple of books teaching you to examine and enhance your thoughts. Dr. Nedley covers the topics in a recorded presentation followed by small support and discussion groups. You will take a Depression and Anxiety Assessment test on the first and last session (if you have watched all the sessions) to have objective feedback. We did this program 12-14 years ago. A few of the comments/feedback I heard were: (at a grocery store five years later) “Thank you so much for the program. I still haven’t had to go back on my antidepressants.” (telling the spouse) “Maybe this is why we moved to Yakima, just to take this class.” (after scoring “severely depressed” on initial test to “no depression” on the follow up test) “Your sharing someone else’s testimony where they asked themselves, ‘Do I really want to live this way the rest of my life?’ woke me up to seriously put into practice the things I was learning.” Two free introduction sessions, Mondays, February 16 & 23, 2026 at 6:30 p.m., will allow potential participants to see if this program might be helpful for them. If interested, you will pay for your books and testing that evening via cash or check and we will order them for you in time for the first March meeting. Feel free to share this invitation with anyone you think may be interested. Blessings!

Your Diagnosis
Before revealing the machine’s verdict, predict the BS score for each signal. Higher = more BS (more fluff, less verifiable substance). Drag each slider, then submit to compare your judgment against the engine.
Stuck? Reveal the heuristic lens — how the deterministic page-auditor reads each signal (no AI, pure pattern rules)
These are the structural rules a local, deterministic auditor applies — the same lens you can use to judge each signal. They describe what to look for, not this company’s result.
Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.
Count trust words (review, testimonial, rating, verified) against real outbound proof links (Google, Trustpilot, Clutch, G2, Yelp). Lots of trust language with zero verification links is trust theatre. Unlinked logo galleries count against it.
Look at how much sentence length varies. Natural writing varies its rhythm; templated or mass-produced copy is statistically uniform. Very low variation reads as commodity content — unless unique named entities break the pattern.
Inspect the JSON-LD. Is there an Organization or Person schema, and does it carry sameAs links to real external profiles (LinkedIn, socials)? Missing schema or no identity declaration signals an anonymous entity.
Want to apply this lens yourself? The free BS Indicator Chrome extension runs these heuristic checks live on any page. Bear in mind it is a single-page, deterministic tool — it relies only on pattern rules for the page in front of it and does not perform the cross-page semantic correlation this audit uses, so its readout is a starting lens, not the full verdict.
Based on 90 businesses audited.
Religion, Spirituality & Faith Organizations BS: Yakima Seventh-day Adventist® Church (yakimasda.org)
This website is a utility-first digital outpost with a remarkably low BS score for a religious organization. It prioritizes schedule transparency and community program logistics over high-octane marketing fluff, though it leans heavily on its denominational brand to fill content gaps.
Populate the currently empty ‘About Yakima Seventh-day Church’ section with local history and specific Yakima community impact data to reduce the commodity score. Add a safeguarding policy link for the Children’s Sabbath School to meet industry proof expectations. Include local governance details or an elder board list to provide transparency. Link local leadership Person schema to external profiles or a ‘Meet the Team’ page with unique bios.
The site perfectly matches the Religion, Spirituality & Faith Organizations category. It provides localized service times for Sabbath worship, denominational doctrinal summaries, and community-based health ministry programs such as the Nedley Depression Recovery program.
“The score of 22 is driven by high Information Density and strong Semantic Coherence, indicating a high level of substance. The majority of the points lost (9) come from the Commodity Fingerprint pillar, as the site is heavily templated and shares much of its identity with the broader SDA global brand rather than establishing a unique local narrative.”
This training module utilizes a snapshot of public data from Yakima Seventh-day Adventist® Church, captured on May 24, 2026, to demonstrate how machine logic evaluates different types of business narratives.
Purpose: This data is presented under “Fair Use” / “Educational Exception” for the purpose of forensic semantic analysis, allowing users to compare human intuition against machine-generated evaluations.
